Chapter 2: unexpected weather change.

Loid stepped out from his apartment in a dark blue T-shirt, with a simple house written on his chest in white, paired with dark forest green cargo pants and white running shoes. On his shoulder, he was carrying a black sports bag with three baseball bats in it.

Right now, that’s all he had to use as a weapon.

He was going to a supermarket to make his base. He planned to stay there until he earned a lot of points after killing zombies, so he could buy storage space to store food and other things; then he would look for some permanent base.

Even though he could directly buy food from the system store. It was expensive; only an idiot would spend system points on it.

He dashed down from the stairs of his apartment building.

But in his plan, one thing made him a little worried. He knew he was going to encounter people in an area like a supermarket; every hungry person would go there to look for food and their other necessities.

So zombies don’t make him worry that much as other humans do, pushing each other, backstabbing, betrayals he was expecting to see; he just doesn’t want to be a target. If it’s happening with other people, he was happy to watch bloody drama.

Of course, he would save pretty girls since he was a kind person, and that’s the thing that worried him; he was already ready to fall into honey traps.

He shook his head. It would be great if he had a spider-tingle; then he doesn’t have to worry about backstabs.

And his stupid system betrayed him early at the start before even the game began.

So fucking frustrating. He had no idea where his superhuman strength reward went- earth swallowed it, or the sky, or maybe his system ate it himself.

He left the building and stepped onto the streets. He wasn’t going to change plans; he wasn’t some smart-ass to come up with something flawless.

Anyway, he just has to be careful; his current body isn’t weak. He just needs to make sure to stay away from people with firearms.

In hand-to-hand combat, he was sure he could fight ten people at once— Okay, right now this was just mental masturbation.

He wasn’t sure about the outcome because the last time he fought was a year ago in school, and he got a good beating, but he has an excuse in his defense.

His opponents were four guys much stronger than him, and he was alone, and that’s the problem; he sucked at making friends and was great at becoming everyone’s target and getting bullied.

It wasn’t that he didn’t try to work out on earth; it was just that he earned little from a part-time job, while living with his alcoholic uncle, and that bastard was good at emotional blackmailing, like I took care of you when your parents died; no one wanted you. etc. He always did that just to ask for money, and he always gave him some money; some went to school fees; at last he was only able to consume poor food; some days and nights he even spent while starving, living in such conditions when he tried to work out he got sick, hardly able to do anything for week, so he never tried after that.

When he got transport to this world, he was really happy.

About his uncle, he would survive while doing some jobs, drinking some less and living some more. At least he hoped so; he didn’t think much about him.

He didn’t think he would ever return to his Earth; if not, this system would forcefully throw him there as it summoned him here.

He suddenly stopped.

"Cold?! What happened?"

He looked up; the sun disappeared, and the dark could cover the sky.

In summer, the air suddenly became chill, as winter came in just a moment. and white rain started.

"Snow?"

"What’s happening, system?" He raised his hand in front, and snow fell on his palm.

This hadn’t happened in the novel.

The system told him it was a novel world, and directly reminded him of the whole story, or how would he remember it, one story out of hundreds that he read two years ago.

It should be just a normal zombie apocalypse story: weak, slow zombies. One just has to make sure you don’t create any noise or get cornered by them; you would survive easily- if some virus didn’t directly infect you through food, or water or a human killed you.

He was confident to survive, but this snowy winter was not in the plan; he didn’t have a safe house. Yes, he could buy one from the system, but he at least needed ten million points; killing one zombie would give him only 10 system points. So it’s impossible.

Now his survival doesn’t appear clear.

He again starts walking again toward the Be-Supermarket. It was closest to here.

No changes in plans because he didn’t have any plan other than to rely on his system.

I hope it doesn’t get a glitch again, or I’m dead.
