Chapter 3: I’m not helping anyone.
The people on the street rubbed their hands and looked up, and some raised their hands, catching the snow in their palms, surprised, shocked; they were not prepared for this sudden weather change.
A mintue ago, Loid’s gaze stopped at, a little boy and girl jumping and dancing excitedly, while their father was holding their little hands.
"Papa! Papa, it’s Christmas!’’ The boy shouted, bouncing on his feet.
Loid’s heart ached seeing it; they didn’t know what horrible bloodbath awaited them.
"I-I.." He didn’t know what to say or think.
They were walking in front of him, completely strangers, and he felt really bad; he didn’t know how many families like this would get destroyed in the apocalypse.
This world really sucks!... That all came to his mind.
Not thinking much, he took a pause, catching up with them; he walked at their side.
He looked at the father of the little girl and boy, he appeared to be in his late 30s or early 40s, he wasn’t sure. He looked like a normal family man with a short, sharp beard and a little overweight.
The man was also looking at him, with a frown.
Loid smiled at him. "Hey, uncle, there was going to be an apocalypse."
"Heh?" He raised his brows before bursting into laughter. "Hahaha.. Yeah, good joke; people would even believe it, seeing this sudden weather change, or maybe you were right, it really is an apocalypse." Saying it, he became serious and looked toward the sky, then at his happily jumping kids.
Loid didn’t know how to help him; what could he do?
Should I buy from the system store something that would help them survive against zombies, but later was awaiting them hunger and freezing death?
If I was thinking right, I would not only have a zombie apocalypse but also extreme cold; everything would undersnow in a few days. He needed to find high ground after collecting as many points as he could.
He opened the store ten points; it’s cut 10 points just by opening it.
sucks..
He directly went to artifacts; they were sheep compared to skills

He looked for something suitable.
He clicked on the Fire sword that cost 1000 system points; he read the description.
It was fifth-tier, the lowest tier. However, it could increase all statas that by 30, and the sword could also create fire. So it would work; with this, they can protect themself and also warm the room.
1000 points... it sucks to be an emotional fool.
He searched more, now to solve the food problem.
The food box: every twenty hours, it will give you one food item. Also costs 1000 system points.
I swear I’m never helping anyone in the future. Anyway, it’s not like I earned it just came in a free pack, so I don’t care. I really don’t care!.
"Uncle.. came with me; I will show you some magic."
The guy looked at him suspiciously.
Yep, I’m suspicious as hell. Loid can’t deny it; he should have picked some better words— show you magic, seriously.
"Lily wants to see magic." The little girl with big, adorable eyes said excitedly.
"Me too, AChco!" The boy sneezed and cleaned his runny nose with his arms.
"Sorry, we were going back; this cold weather isn’t good for kids.’’ Their father said.
"Alright." Loid opened his sports bag and took his three sports bats.
"It was empty." After showing them, he closed the bag.
The man looked at him with confusion.
"Can you grab it for a second.’’
The guy grabbed it with little hesitation,
Loid smiled. "Alright, listen carefully, Uncle. After going home, drop your blood on the sword and the box; the box will give you food every twenty hours, and the sword... Well, you find out on your own. Last advice: don’t let anyone find out about those items, because I’m not taking the blame if something happens to you or your family...’’
"What?" The man asked with a frown. "What nonsense are you talking, pretty boy? Enough with your jokes."
Loid held his three baseball bats at his side. "I know you don’t take me seriously, but you’re lucky I’m an emotional fool... make sure you survive. Live... with your cute family?"
After giving one last glance to the kids, he turned around with a smile.
"Wait!’’ The man called.
But, without looking back, Loid ran away with his three baseball bats.
The man looked at his back then at the bag in his hand; it suddenly felt heavy, not empty.
"Papa, what did that brother give you?" The boy asked.
"Papa’s cold. I want to hug a warm mommy," the little girl said, hugging his leg.
He smiled, hanging the bag on his shoulder, taking his title princess in his arm and prince in another. " Yes, let’s go home; your mama would be worried seeing sudden weather change."
"Yes, let’s go home!" both brother and sister shouted.
He smiled and looked in front. The boy was already gone. magic? apocalypse? What a weird young man. But this weather...
