Chapter 71: Chapter 71 To my place
Fortunately, Luca was already there to meet her.
Alana got out of the car and saw Luca waiting for her at the security booth.
She walked over and smiled apologetically. “Sorry to keep you waiting.”
Luca couldn’t help but take a good look at Alana.
Today, she was wearing a light purple knit top paired with a matching purple midi skirt, looking gentle and fresh, exuding a refined, ladylike charm.
Her soft, black hair cascaded down her back. A gentle breeze blew, causing strands to flutter lightly across her delicate features, her refined nose and rosy lips, giving her a soft and lovely appearance.
He blushed slightly as he looked at her and cleared his throat. “It’s fine. I just got here too.”
“Let’s go. I’ll take you to my place.”
Alana nodded. “Okay.”
Luca’ place wasn’t far.
It was a two-story detached apartment, clean and uncluttered. He opened the door.
As Luca called out,
“Ollie, Jerry, come here!”
Alana felt a flash before her eyes as a large golden retriever and a round, plump, mustard-yellow tabby cat came racing toward her.
They shot right up to her.
Alana had never seen anything like this before; she was slightly startled and instinctively hid behind Luca.
But the dog and cat had already charged over, surrounding her, the unfamiliar intruder. They sniffed her relentlessly.
This left Alana feeling both nervous and scared.
Eventually, she couldn’t help but cower in the corner.
Luca was amused by her reaction. “Don’t be afraid. They’re very friendly. Maybe they’re just extra excited to see such a beautiful woman.”
Alana felt terribly tensed. She looked at the big dog and the big orange one sniffing around her feet, completely at a loss.
“I’m...I’m sorry. They’re just so enthusiastic. I’m not really used to this.”
“It’s okay, you’ll get used to it in a minute.” Luca walked over to help her shoo the Golden Retriever and the orange cat away. Under his guidance, the two pets moved a little further away from her, though they still stared at her intently and curiously.
The big Golden Retriever was sticking out its pink tongue, its tail wagging like a propeller.
It was clearly very interested in Alana.
Alana gave the Golden Retriever a faint smile, and the dog seemed to get even more excited, its tail wagging so fast it looked like it might take off.
Although the orange cat didn’t react as strongly as the Golden Retriever, it still meowed at Alana a few times.
It was quite cute.
Luca was delighted. “I can tell they really like you.”
If the two pets hadn’t taken a liking to Alana, he might have had to find someone else to look after them.
But now, there was no need to worry about that.
Alana gave a faint smile. By now, her nerves had settled, and she wasn’t as tense anymore.
She looked at Luca. “Did you just call them Ollie and Jerry?”
“Yes, the golden retriever is Ollie, and the orange cat is Jerry.”
“Those are nice names.”
“Oh, I just picked them at random.” Luca scratched the back of his head shyly.
“Um, why don’t you take a seat on the couch? I’ll go get you a glass of water.”
Alana asked, “Do I need to change your shoes?”
Luca shook his head. “No need. Just walk right in.”
“Okay.”

Meanwhile.
Spring Banquet.
Gary had reserved a VIP private room.
The private room was bustling with men and women.
Someone asked, “Young Master Gary, isn’t Young Master Stephan coming? When will he arrive?”
Gary, however, remained calm and unconcerned. “What’s the rush? The party’s just getting started.”
Two girls approached Gary, one with a sweet, innocent look, the other alluring and
seductive.
The sweet-looking girl asked, “Young Master Gary, I heard Young Master Stephan has been going on blind dates lately, is that true?”
Gary glanced at the girl. “What? Do you want to go on a blind date with him?”
The girl’s cheeks flushed slightly.
Her intentions were obvious.
Gary raised an eyebrow. “When he gets here, go ask him. See if he’d be willing to go on a date with you.”
“Okay, sure.”
The sweet-looking girl, tugging on another girl’s arm, walked away shyly. Just then, the private room door opened.
A tall, slender figure stepped slowly inside.
The man wore a black shirt, a gray vest, and gray dress pants.
His shirt was buttoned all the way to the top.
Broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and long, slender legs.
He exuded an air of cool, restrained elegance.
Someone spoke up.
“Young Master Stephan is here!”
“Young Master Stephan is as handsome and charming as ever!”
“Oh, Young Master Stephan even brought a birthday present. Looks like he really loves Young Master Gary!”
Gary looked over at Stephan with curiosity and saw that he was carrying a plastic bag.
The bag was quite large; he had no idea what was inside.
As Stephan walked toward him, Gary couldn’t wait to snatch the plastic bag from the man’s hand.
“Is this my birthday present? Let me see, what is it, exactly?” Gary looked down and his face fell. “What?! It’s a stuffed animal?!”
He took it out and saw that it was a little white rabbit stuffed animal. Its little white paws were clutching a red carrot.
Everyone else glanced over, curiously examining Stephan’s gift.
But when they saw the little white rabbit stuffed animal, they all couldn’t help but laugh.
Gary was speechless. “Dude, even if you wanted to give me a birthday present, you
could’ve at least gotten something decent, right? What’s the point of giving me a little white rabbit stuffed animal? Isn’t this the kind of thing you give to women? I don’t like this stuff!”
Stephan shot him a withering look, then reached out and snatched the stuffed
animal from his hands.
His movement was crisp and decisive.
“Who said I was giving it to you?Give me back the bunny!”
His tone was cold and ruthless.
Gary wasn’t worthy of such a cute little white rabbit.
Gary froze, confused. “You weren’t giving it to me? Then who is it for?”
Stephan cast a casual glance at him and spoke slowly, “I’m not telling you.”
Gary blinked. Stephan took the little white rabbit and even patted the spot Gary had just touched. He seemed a bit disgusted.
Gary watched in utter speechlessness.
Cruz, flanked by two beautiful women, suddenly asked, “Since the stuffed animal isn’t for Young Master Gary, then... it can’t possibly be for a woman, can it?” After all, only girls like this sort of thing.
Stephan cradled the little white rabbit in his arms, found a spot to sit, and said nothing.
