Chapter 129: CH. 129 | Yunlan Sect and Lingxian Sect
They lowered Lin Tian down from above the treatment pool. Cao Ying stepped toward him and saw that he was still unconscious.
Not wanting to waste time, she summoned red qi from her fingertip and directed it forward, sending it into Lin Tian’s body through his forehead.
Lin Tian’s body began to be wrapped in a red qi aura, which made him float toward Cao Ying.
Once she was sure they were ready, Cao Ying shot off immediately and left the Yunlan Sect.
As Li Qingxue had ordered, she and Han Xin went along to keep watch over them on the journey back.
The woman from the Yunlan Sect was still confused. She kept her eyes fixed ahead, straight on Lin Tian, who was still lying unconscious, floating along with the help of Cao Ying’s qi.
Her heart was beating fast and her gaze was intense. She still couldn’t make sense of what had happened.
The curiosity gnawing at her heart refused to let up, as though she desperately needed a clear reason for why Lin Tian had chosen to save her.
But dwelling on it now wasn’t going to help her. Lin Tian’s condition made it impossible for him to regain consciousness, let alone speak.
In her view, Li Qingxue would likely get a chance to ask once Lin Tian came around. And that was clearly going to take a lot of time.
They flew fast through the sky, passing over forests and cities. From a distance, Lingxi Hill came into view, and so did the Lingxian Sect.
Cao Ying sped up and made it inside the sect. Li Qingxue and Han Xin were able to enter as well since they carried traces of Lin Tian’s qi on them.

They arrived at the sect while the disciples were resting. Even An Yue was asleep. Cao Ying brought Lin Tian into the main sect hall and laid him down on the floor.
Wu Yue, who hadn’t yet gone to sleep, sensed an unfamiliar qi aura arriving at the Lingxian Sect.
She stepped out of the Pill Refinement Hall and walked into the main sect hall, feeling that the aura was coming from there.
Could it be that... Lin Tian doing that with someone else?
She stepped inside after pushing the door open. Her attention went straight ahead, taking in the sight of two women and two men. Wu Yue recognized all of them.
"Sect Leader Li Qingxue? Grand Elder Han? Master Ying?" Wu Yue asked.
"What’s—"
"Wait!"
"What happened to him?" Wu Yue asked in shock, pointing at Lin Tian lying flat on the floor, unconscious and covered in wounds.
"How could he be this badly hurt?" she asked again.
"A lot happened. But could you help me by not telling anyone about this?" Cao Ying asked.
"No," Wu Yue replied. "He’s the Lingxian Sect Leader. The disciples need to know. We can’t hide this situation from them."
Li Qingxue and Han Xin stayed quiet and said nothing. What Wu Yue had said was already their responsibility as members of the Lingxian Sect.
As outsiders, neither of them had any say in the matter.
"We’ll only tell the five main disciples. That’s it."
"Let the other disciples keep cultivating in peace," Cao Ying replied.
"You still haven’t told me what happened. Why is Sect Leader Li Qingxue of the Yunlan Sect here? Do Lin Tian’s injuries have anything to do with them?"

Cao Ying went quiet for a moment, then turned and asked Han Xin to tell Wu Yue everything, while she and Li Qingxue discussed the best way to treat Lin Tian’s condition.
"Someone needs to supply qi to his body, taking turns," Li Qingxue said.
"I can’t do it. My natural element is water. I’m worried that supplying him with spiritual qi would actually make the qi surge in his body even worse," Li Qingxue said.
"I can’t either," Cao Ying replied.
Their choice fell to the five main disciples and An Xiao. All six of them had natural elements compatible with Lin Tian’s.
Cao Ying even thought about activating an array beneath Lin Tian’s body to maximize his recovery.
"The five main disciples of the Lingxian Sect each specialize in a different field of study. Maybe we can teach them techniques, formations, or pill recipes to speed up Lin Tian’s recovery," Cao Ying said.
Wu Yue’s face went pale with shock as she listened to everything Han Xin had to say.
Her attention drifted to the side, resting on Lin Tian’s battered face, the result of fighting six Perfect Nascent Soul cultivators.
"He really is out of his mind, thinking he could take on six cultivators at the same level as him," Wu Yue said. "Just imagining it is terrifying."
Li Qingxue turned toward Wu Yue. "You’re skilled at making recovery pills. Can you help diagnose his condition and determine the best treatment approach?"
Wu Yue walked over to Lin Tian, summoned red qi from her hand, and directed it to the pulse at his wrist.
Wu Yue’s eyes shut tight, letting her spiritual qi flow through Lin Tian’s meridians to examine his full condition and determine the best course of treatment.
She continued the thorough examination. Li Qingxue never doubted her ability. After all, she had once been the Head of the Pill Refinement Hall at the Yunlan Sect.
Lin Tian’s body glowed within Wu Yue’s Earth Flame, burning away the black qi from his body, the kind that typically builds up as an effect of prolonged and intense combat.
She destroyed that black qi inside her Earth Flame orb. In an instant, the black qi was gone without a trace.
Lin Tian was still unconscious, but Wu Yue had finished her diagnosis. She stood and turned toward the others, laying out Lin Tian’s condition.
"I have no idea how brutal that fight between those Nascent Soul monsters was to leave him in a state this severe," Wu Yue said.

"What are we looking at?"
"His physical body is covered in wounds. Several internal organs are ruptured and bruised. Bones are broken and shattered," Wu Yue replied.
"Beyond that, his meridians are cracked and leaking, which is creating a qi surge that’s led to qi deviation. His dantian has been destabilized and his cultivation foundation is no longer stable. His Nascent Soul is injured as well," Wu Yue added.
Li Qingxue listened to all of it. She had never expected Wu Yue’s diagnosis to be this thorough, detailed enough to give them a clear picture of his exact condition.
Either way, Lin Tian was injured because he had sided with the Yunlan Sect.
To understand the reason behind why Lin Tian had saved her, Li Qingxue needed to help him and the Lingxian Sect first.
"What do you need?" Li Qingxue asked.
"A High-Level Meridian Restoration Formation. Several level three pills. And possibly a healing technique," Wu Yue replied.
"You don’t need to worry about any of that," Li Qingxue replied. "The Yunlan Sect will provide it."
"What do you mean?" Cao Ying asked.
Li Qingxue turned toward her with a serious expression, "For the duration of his recovery, elders from the Yunlan Sect will be here to assist. We won’t stand by and let Lin Tian die over something that was our problem."
"When Lin Tian finally wakes up, I’ll ask him myself why he helped me."
