Chapter 527: Chapter 527: Accidentally Entering the Organization

Xiao Lin tried to hold back her laughter and punched Ouyang Jiahui playfully: "You’re killing me! You girl, not letting anyone eat breakfast in peace. If my makeup gets ruined from laughing, I’ll have to redo it."

Lu Xiaomei’s singing came from upstairs, signaling that she was coming down for breakfast too. The three beauties were slightly startled upon hearing Lu Xiaomei’s voice.

With three women already creating a lively scene in the villa, adding Lu Xiaomei to the mix would probably prevent Xu Xiangbei from making it to the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine today.

Xu Xiangbei gave Ouyang Jiahui a glance of disappointment and said, "I better leave early and catch a cab."

Ouyang Jiahui wasn’t keen on letting Xu Xiangbei go. She glanced at Ah Rong’s room door and smiled, saying, "Why don’t you ask Ah Rong to drive you? Doesn’t she have a Lamborghini?"

At the mention of Ah Rong, Gu Xinyan recalled something and surprisedly reminded, "Oh, Ah Rong, I saw her driving out in the Lamborghini when I got up to exercise at around six. You were all still sleeping then."

With his last hope dashed, Xu Xiangbei had no choice but to leave the villa and hail a cab. As he left, he joked, "Well, at least I won’t have to hear Lu Xiaomei’s singing. Goodbye, ladies."

He ran out of the villa in a flash.

It wasn’t easy to catch a cab on the weekend, but Xu Xiangbei had the Didi app on his phone and quickly booked an online ride. The driver turned out to be an uncle with a full beard.

The bearded uncle glanced at Xu Xiangbei through the rearview mirror and asked, "Where to, handsome?"

"I’m going to the Earth Sea College of Traditional Chinese Medicine."

The bearded uncle nodded and pressed the accelerator, starting the car.

There were quite a few cars on the roads during the weekend, causing minor congestion. As it was his first time going to the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Xu Xiangbei didn’t know the way, so he used his phone for navigation: "Driver, the GPS is advising there’s a jam ahead, can we take a shortcut?"

"Driver, can we turn left and take Huaihai Road?"

"Driver, can we speed up a bit here? There are no speed limits."

Worried about being late, Xu Xiangbei kept giving directions to the driver, who eventually got annoyed and said with a sullen face, "Who’s driving, you or me, handsome? Think you can do better?"

Ignoring the driver’s remarks, Xu Xiangbei muttered to himself, "If only my Thunder wasn’t in repair, I wouldn’t be taking a cab. My Porsche is so much faster and more comfortable."

Speaking without a second thought, the driver listened carefully, hearing every word. He was a bit offended and thought to himself, "This kid even drives a Porsche and complains about my car, irritating brat!"

The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was divided into a new and an old campus. The old campus was the previous location, but it was too small for development, so a new campus was built about a kilometer away.

All staff and students moved to the new campus, with "College of Traditional Chinese Medicine" written next to its main gate. The GPS also displayed the same name, but the school itself was almost empty, with most of its buildings rented out to external educational organizations.

Annoyed by Xu Xiangbei’s constant instructions and realizing he was an out-of-towner, the bearded uncle deliberately dropped him at the old campus. From the car window, he blew a kiss to Xu Xiangbei and drove off.

After Xu Xiangbei got out of the car and checked his watch, it was only 8:40. He wasn’t late, so he happily walked into the school, unaware he’d been deceived.

He noticed the shabby state of the guardroom where a hunched old man wearing glasses was reading a newspaper. Xu Xiangbei smiled and asked, "Sir, how do I get to the principal’s office?"

The hunched old man was a bit hard of hearing, so Xu Xiangbei had to use the Buddhist Lion’s Roar technique to snap him out of his daze.

The old man peered over his glasses at Xu Xiangbei and asked in a peculiar dialect, "Young man, which principal’s office are you looking for? There are three schools here."

Xu Xiangbei was a bit confused, assuming the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was like Earth Sea University, with several faculties and several principals: "I’m looking for the honorary principal, Principal Sun, who is also Dean Sun from the First People’s Hospital."

The old man was equally confused, trying to decipher Xu Xiangbei’s slightly off-pronunciation explanation. He didn’t see any connection between the Great Future School, New Century School, and the People’s Hospital.

Despite his hunchback and hearing loss, the old man’s presence was formidable, decisive and pointed inside, "Go inside, second building, third floor, there’s someone with the surname Sun there."

After speaking, he returned to his newspaper, immersed in his divine travel again.

When Xu Xiangbei reached the third floor of the second building, he found the man named Sun, an oily-faced person who used the pretense of running a school but was secretly engaged in pyramid schemes.

Seeing the smile plastered on President Sun’s face, Xu Xiangbei realized he found the wrong person: "I’m looking for Dean Sun. Isn’t this the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine? I had an appointment to lecture here at nine with Dean Sun. Isn’t he here yet?"

If it were a regular person, they would have said, "The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a kilometer west from here, at the new campus where all staff and students have moved. This is the old campus, you’re in the wrong place."

However, seeing Xu Xiangbei dressed in shining attire, with an Armani logo that gleamed like gold and sporting a Patek Philippe watch, President Sun perceived him as wealthy and concocted a wicked plan.

He took a glance inside the classroom at the pale and simple-dressed so-called elite members, who were actually duped, and his eyes twisted as he grinned slyly, "This is the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dean Sun asked me to greet you. I’m also surnamed Sun; you can call me Principal Sun. You are who...?"

Life is a series of pitfalls, and Xu Xiangbei had no idea President Sun was plotting against him.

He peeked into the classroom, seeing a dozen people quietly seated at desks with books and pens, seemingly waiting for someone to start a class.

Xu Xiangbei smiled, thinking they were all waiting for his lecture, feeling proud at the thought of lecturing like a professor: "Hello, Principal Sun, I’m Xu Xiangbei. I’ve prepared content for my first lecture. When do we start?"

President Sun chuckled wickedly, led Xu Xiangbei into the classroom, and closed the door: "No rush, there’s plenty of time. You should sit and rest while I lecture you first."

The classroom door was a security door, and after closing it, President Sun locked it. The room had several robust men who were all senior members assigned to supervise the downlines attentively listening to the lecture.

Xu Xiangbei was puzzled why the door was locked for a lecture, assuming it was to ensure students concentrated without outside distractions. He thought Principal Sun was indeed meticulous.

A stern-faced man pointed Xu Xiangbei to a seat, and he excitedly sat down. The man even handed Xu Xiangbei a brand-new pen and notebook, which Xu Xiangbei happily accepted, nodding in thanks: "Thank you."

Seeing Xu Xiangbei seated, Principal Sun drew a sly grin, knowing anyone who sits down could be brainwashed. He smiled and clapped: "Let’s welcome the newcomer, Teacher Xu Xiangbei!"
