Chapter 579: Crossover Logs, Log 5: Alvey Sargon
Crossover Log: Alvey.
Ah yes, Alvey Sargon.
The guy who wanted to put me in a glorified slave contract when I first landed on Aramis.
What? Do you think I forgot about that just because it happened all the way in Chapter 343? No way.
Anyway, I’m supposed to be writing a log about him, aren’t I?
So, here’s my ’Log Entry: Observations on Alvey (from Arthur’s Perspective)’
Let’s start with how I see Alvey. He’s one of the strongest Transcendents I’ve ever seen, and he’s a pretty driven guy. He’s the kind of person who commands respect before he even says a word. He’s got this presence about him, one that radiates both authority and ambition.
Alvey comes from Gozon a demon-dominated Prime World that’s a top dog in the world-conquering business and has a penchant for Prime Worlds like Aramis.
His family’s relationship is rather complicated, having been expelled from his household for not being born a "High Demon."
I’ve seen many kinds of discrimination so I’m not surprised such a thing happened, but it doesn’t make it any less foolish though.
Despite this rejection, Alvey quickly rose through the ranks of Gozon’s military society, a meritocratic environment that allowed him to shine through his achievements and tactical brilliance.
His accomplishments in conquering two High-Level Worlds before the age of 50 earned him the eyes of the Demon Kings, who saw his potential for future greatness.
It’s honestly no wonder the Demon Kings have their eyes on him. I can see that they’re quietly watching, waiting for him to rise even further.
He’s also a Singularity, or ’Irregular’ as they’re called in this Universe.
Alvey’s paternal family really kicked out their golden goose.
In my opinion, Alvey is a serious, meticulous individual, although he is capable of dry humour and the occasional joke. His serious personality is one of his defining traits. He’s not cold, but he is intensely focused.
This combination of focus, meticulous planning and foresight enabled us to conquer Triton’s Ark within a day and defeat the Plomux continent in under a month. That kind of foresight and planning isn’t something you see every day and I gotta say, Gozon owes a huge portion of its success in this world to the man.
Guess the Demon Kings chose wisely when they made him a general.
On Aramis, Alvey’s circumstances have placed him in a pivotal role. He’s here to conquer this world, part of Gozon’s interstellar ambitions, but for Alvey, it’s more personal.
His quiet ambition intrigues me as well. Despite his expulsion from his family, Alvey seeks to establish his own noble title, independent of his parents’ lower-ranked affiliations. He has his sights set on a higher-ranking title, aiming to surpass the status of his father’s family.
Wait, I should say ’had’ in this case, shouldn’t I? After all, he’s already gotten the title as at the time you’d see this log.
Alvey’s relationships are...notable, I guess? McEnda III is his best friend, and the man plays a major role in both Alvey’s personal and military life.
They’re not as inseparable as Artemisia and Beatrix, but they’re very close, a friendship likely forged in years of shared goals and battles.
McEnda’s fiancée, Sigesi, is also an important figure in Alvey’s circle, and together, the trio commands immense respect and admiration wherever they go.
Then there’s Beatrix. Alvey’s relationship with Beatrix is more complex—while she openly declares her feelings for him, Alvey doesn’t reciprocate, often expressing annoyance or exhaustion over her persistence.
That same persistence might win him over in the future, though.
As for Artemisia, his interactions with her are more formal and he sees her as Beatrix’s stopper. When Beatrix goes overboard and he needs to get rid of her, he summons Artemisia.
His connection with Jamie is simply one of Ruler and Subject. Jamie is a Demon King and Alvey is a High-Rank Demon serving under him, nothing special there.
Next on the list is Evan.
Alvey views him as an enigma. Leaving aside how he literally fell through time and all, the boy’s vast array of skills and prodigious talent intrigue him, and the man does see him as a potential future asset, but I can tell there’s a part of him seeing Evan as a potential threat as well.
I guess the way our little group rapidly increased in size has him alarmed so he’s watching everyone warily.
Alvey’s battle power and abilities are exceptional, with a focus on light magic and the powerful Pseudo-Authorities he wields.
Again, with a focus on his LIGHT MAGIC.
Never did I think I’d ever see a Demon wield Light magic better than gods and Angels.
He’s got two of those ’Unique Series Skill’ things this Universe has and is almost guaranteed to get a Unique Authority—an Ultimate Skill.
Two of those are for the Light attribute.
His light-based abilities are especially potent, allowing him to manipulate and weaponize light itself with terrifying speed and efficiency.
When he combines his light manipulation with spatial powers, he creates the devastating combination that he calls ’Light-Space’.
Oh, and he’s got a Rule Breaker as well. A Double Digit one called the ’Morphic Edge’. A suitable name for a weapon that transforms and changes forms to suit its wielder.
His titles, including his ’Four Star General’ rank, ’Conqueror of Worlds’, ’Demon of Light’ and "Aramis’ Nightmare", reflect his infamy on the Prime World he is invading. In fact, they only scratch the surface of what he’s capable of.
The man also has extensive battle experience, especially with commanding. He’s a good fighter, a good commander and a good tactician all in one.
He’s on the cusp of becoming a Higher Existence, and looking ahead, I see Alvey continuing to rise, not just in power but in influence.
His meticulous planning and nearly unrivalled combat abilities make him a key player in the war for Aramis, and I have no doubt he will continue to shape the course of this world’s history even after it’s been conquered.
The Demon Kings have even declared him and McEnda III as the planet’s future Overseers.
With Alvey, the question isn’t whether he will succeed, but how far he will go.
Like the others, he’s part of the upcoming Nexus Event and is one of the key pieces I’d seen.
But until that happens, he’d be on my watchlist.
When I come back here after becoming a Deity, I expect to see him stronger than ever, after all, he has the potential to rival even the Demon Kings themselves.
