Chapter 488: Sacrificial Summoning
With all his might, Arthur punched the half transformed Crarox in the centre, his destruction energy breaking apart the Leviathan’s spell and forcing his transformation back to his massive 2 km-long body.
But of course, the force of the gravity-infused strike had already sent his body hurtling through the air and crashing onto land like a ragdoll, where he completely reverted and spat out blood.
Arthur didn’t hesitate to chase after the rag-dolling Leviathan, but his flight was interrupted by the Anti-Air missiles of the Aramisians.
With the Demons already on their shores, the Aramisians launched a barrage of missiles to deal with them, whilst also sending out Airships with the intention to raid a launch an airstrike on the Demon Navy.
However, Arthur just so happened to fly in the path of these Airships, so they launched some missiles at him to knock him out of the sky, but the missiles were not so fast that he could not react.
As Arthur dodged one of the missiles, he had a thought and snapped his fingers to slow time so he had more time to think.
He alternated his gaze between the missile slowly passing him and the missile launchers on the military base below him. Looking around, he did not see any civilians’ settlements in range so he decided to go along with his idea.
Arthur reached out and grabbed the missile, covering it with dense destruction law energy, before spinning around and throwing it towards the ground.
The speed of time returned to normal and the Aramisian General who ordered the strike on Arthur was shocked to see one of the missiles suddenly turn around and head straight for them.
Acting quickly, he conjured a spear of divinity and hurled it to intercept the missile mid-air, but that could not be anything more than a mistake.
**KAAABOOOOOMMMM!!!!!
In an instant, a blinding flash of light engulfed the area. The explosion expanded with ferocious speed, consuming everything in its path.
Shockwaves ripped through the air, obliterating structures, equipment, and personnel alike. The ground trembled violently as the entire military base was engulfed in a fiery inferno, leaving nothing but a smouldering wasteland in its wake.
As he was consumed by the flames of destruction, the General couldn’t help but wonder how a single missile that originally carried nothing more than the power to blow a few buildings to smithereens gave off a nuclear level explosion.
While the once formidable stronghold was reduced to ruins, Arthur was already long gone, heading right for the Aramisian fleet in the distance.
He held out both hands and slammed them together, and gravity mirrored his actions, creating two powerful forces that crushed one of the airships to oblivion between them.
"I think it was like this..."
Arthur muttered as he swirled the gravitational law energy around the ruined airship, attempting to replicate one of Crarox’s skills.
"No...I need to fine tune it like this..."
And just like that, his superior comprehension of gravity allowed him to not only learn but improve on the skill within seconds.
He used the destroyed airship as a central point and began pulling all the other airships nearby towards it with tremendous force, crushing them together in a devastating collision.
"Indeed, a Gravitational Maelstrom."
Arthur ignored the falling debris and headed right for Crarox who had already gotten up and was now charging right at him.
The Leviathan moved like a snake on land, his massive body slithering across the earth and leaving sending out massive tremors.
He manipulated gravity and lifted countless rocks into the air, launching all of them at Arthur, but the Progenitor dodged them all with ease before stopping time and teleporting behind the Leviathan.
"Lostvayne."
The Rule Breaker answered his call instantly and he swung the blade downwards, unleashing a Cataclysmic Divide on Crarox’s wounded tail.
The attack cleaved through the thick, scaled flesh with unerring precision, slicing the tail clean in half. Crarox screamed in agony as blood splattered everywhere, drenching a nearby mountaintop in deep crimson.
Enraged, Crarox turned and unleashed an Aqua Breath at Arthur, but the boy flew away to dodge, before teleporting right under Crarox’s mouth.
With a swift uppercut, Arthur redirected the Leviathan’s Aqua Breath to the sky, where it fizzled out harmlessly.
Arthur then pointed his palms towards the ground, clenching his fists before pulling upwards as if dragging something. A powerful gravitational upforce was generated, lifting the Leviathan’s massive body into the air.
In response, Crarox used Prism Pulse, manipulating the properties of light to create razor-sharp shards that he hurled at Arthur. But the deadly beams were bent off course by Arthur’s gravity shield.
Undeterred, Crarox unleashed multiple instances of his Hydroburst skill, sending powerful surges of water energy crashing towards Arthur. Some of them veered off course and the resulting explosions drenched the battlefield, while Arthur countered the ones that stayed on target with Destruction Energy Blasts, neutralizing the attacks in a brilliant clash of forces.
Arthur then suddenly cancelled the gravitational upforce, letting Crarox fall back to the ground with a massive thud. The impact created earthquakes that rippled through the earth, sending dust clouds surging into the air.
Amidst the swirling dust, Arthur dashed forward and delivered another powerful uppercut to the Leviathan.
In his raised hand, he then summoned Lostvayne and rapidly gathered his energies, preparing for the final strike.
The Iridescent Cosmic energy, Blue Temporal and Crimson Destruction Law energies, and most importantly, the silvery power of his Anti-Divinity and Null.
With Lostvayne held diagonally, he called out two words with a dead calm voice.
¬Extreme Nothingness. ¬
The long, jagged slash, infused with a perfect alignment of Arthur’s powers tore through the air, crossing the distance between Arthur and Crarox in an instant, and delivering a clean diagonal cut that sliced through the Leviathan’s head in an instant.
Crarox who was activating a skill suddenly froze and blankly stared at Arthur in silence as he suddenly lost all feeling below his neck.
His vision slowly began dimming as he saw Arthur calmly float towards him and lightly push his head to the side.
The last things he saw were the glowing red and blue eyes of the Silver-haired Progenitor.
"Haa...I’m not quite there yet."
Arthur muttered to himself as he looked at the massive body of the Leviathan that collapsed with a ’THUD’.
He then flicked his finger upwards and lifted the severed head still dripping blood into the air and ascended high into the sky, facing the ocean.
He looked right at the Triton’s Ark and the High Ranked Demons there saw him, taking this as a signal to begin Phase 2 of their plan.
Arthur sensed multiple presences rapidly approaching him from behind and he turned around and looked at the incoming Aramisians.
He glanced towards the ground and used Gravity to pull up Crarox’s severed tail, enveloping it in the Law of Summoning’s power as he called out.
¬Sacrificial Summoning. ¬
Five layered magic circles materialized around the tail, each pulsating with a dark, ominous energy.
From these circles emerged a small squad of very Devils, a particular breed of them Arthur found very familiar—Leviathan Devils.
Besides their wings and the small scales that could be seen mixed in with some parts of their skin on their necks and hands, one would find them hard to differentiate from humans.
The leader, a Superior Sovereign, glanced at Arthur and narrowed her eyes.
"You smell like us, summoner."
"Of course, I do. My Mother is partly one of you."
"I see...."
The Devil nodded in affirmation before glancing at the severed Leviathan head floating in the sky and then at the tail being consumed by the law of summoning’s power.
She quickly understood that Arthur had executed a random summon, and they happened to be the ones called forth due to the race factors they shared with Leviathans.
"Do we handle the Divine Elves we sense approaching here?"
"Yes, go ahead. I’ll send some Infernals after you."
At the mention of ’Infernals,’ the faces of all 50 Devils darkened, a hint of unease flickering across their features which Arthur did not fail to notice.
¬Do not worry, I’ll put them in line. ¬
The power of his Faux True resounded in their souls, causing the Leviathan Devils to flinch before bowing.
With a powerful flap of their wings, they took to the sky, flying to intercept the incoming Aramisians.
Left behind, Arthur placed his hands on Crarox’s head, before muttering two words under his breath.
"Core Absorption."
There was a short flash of silver light under his palms, and ’something’ flowed to Arthur who nodded before waving his hand and manipulating the earth to conjure a massive spear-tipped rock pillar that stretched for kilometres, as if trying to pierce the heavens.
With a swift motion, he pierced Crarox’s severed head atop it, leaving it as a grim monument to his victory.
Satisfied, he turned and flew towards the shores where docked Triton’s Ark lay.

’Damn...Arthur’s pretty strong.’
Such a thought crossed Evan’s mind as he glanced at the teenage boy who was conversing with the High Ranked Demons not too far from his position.
It wasn’t that he didn’t know Arthur was strong before, but knowing this because he saw Arthur’s status and seeing the Progenitor in action were two vastly different things.
’Now I see why my Danger Sense skill is always emitting a low warning whenever he’s nearby. Even when he isn’t doing anything.’
This was something Evan had not revealed to anyone. The ’Danger Sense’ skill was an Ultra-Rare skill that was even rarer than some Unique Skills, and it had to capability to recognize sources of danger the User could not even perceive.
Said skill was constantly on alert around Arthur, and Evan now knew it was for a good reason.
The incident with Margaux only showed a small glimpse of Arthur’s power, but after seeing the boy’s full might here today, Evan questioned if they were really agemates.
’Well, technically I am older than him by a few years but in this body, we’re in the same age group...’
