Chapter 447: Survive IV

’Pseudo-Authority of Destruction: Annihilation Sphere!’

’?!’

Duskhand sensed the destruction energy bubbling up and quickly let go of Arthur, jumping back to avoid the sphere of energy.

"What?!"

The Divine Human’s shock was impossible to conceal as he beheld the sight in front of him.

No less than ten metres away from Arthur was a projection of himself.

He could sense that the projection was created with the energy of the law of Time and a hint of the law of knowledge’s power.

In the projection, he was facing forward whilst stabbing his spear into the ground—the exact action he had taken no less than 20 seconds ago.

He was looking at a projection of himself from 20 seconds ago, which was created with Arthur’s energy.

Arthur got up from the ground and dashed forward, disabling the Annihilation sphere as he raised his sword which was imbued with all the power he could muster in that moment.

The iridescent Cosmic energy, Blue Temporal and Crimson Destruction Law energies, and most importantly, the silvery power of his Anti-Divinity and Null.

With Lostvayne held diagonally, he concluded the chant he had begun the moment he charged towards Duskhand 20 seconds ago.

|¬Be reduced to Nothing! : Extreme Nothingness—Chronoslash! ¬|

Extreme Nothingness was primarily a ’Thrusting’ attack. Arthur had created the ’AOE’ version; Seismic Surge, when he was battling against the four Epic Celestials during the Nemo Galaxy incident.

And now, he attempted a ’Slashing’ Variation of the attack.

The chaotic combination of his various powers, added with his innate Progenitor godslayer abilities and coupled with the fact that he was using ’Chronoslash’ allowed him to momentarily ignore Duskhand’s durability as if it were non-existent.

Arthur’s current strongest attack struck Duskhand’s past, the effects reverberating almost instantaneously into the present.

A long, jagged slash, infused with a chaotic blend of purple-silver energy, tore across Duskhand’s upper chest and arms. His clothes shredded, and his flesh rent asunder, releasing a gush of bright red blood into the air.

His spear shaft was also sliced through with ease; very much expected as the weapon was not even a quarter as strong as Lostvayne.

Immediately that happened, the projection of his past disappeared and Arthur fell down onto his knees coughing out a mouthful of silver blood.

"..."

Duskhand staggered backwards for a second before he stabilized his footing. His gaze went down to his chest where he saw the wound still releasing blood and he looked at it in silence for a moment.

’Chronoslash?

A Slash of Time?

He attacked my past and it affected me in the present?’

He looked up at Arthur and ignoring the fact that the boy was his opponent, he was impressed.

’Executing such a powerful technique at his Level...I’m honestly in awe of him.’

And it was precisely because of this, that he knew he had to kill Arthur at all costs.

Although it was Arthur’s strongest attack, the gap between his attack potency and a Transcendent’s vitality was so immense that even if Duskhand just stood there and let Arthur hit him with that attack 10 more times, it still wouldn’t kill him.

Putting It into the perspective of a game, Arthur’s attack had dealt around 2.5 million units of damage; which was frankly quite absurd as Intermediate Legendries were supposed to peak at 200,000-250,000 units of damage.

Damage units in the ’millions’ was the level of Sovereigns.

Anyway, Arthur’s attack was strong enough to hit 2.5 million damage units, but impressive as it was, it didn’t mean much in the face of Duskhand’s 30 million + HP.

This was taking into account that Arthur’s Progenitor authority had reduced this greatly.

As such, Duskhand would not die even if Arthur was to somehow possess enough energy to unleash that attack 10 more times, and the Divine Human just stood there making zero attempts to defend.

This was also IF it was also able to bypass his Durability/Defence Stat every single time.

On a Side Note, Duskhand’s serious attacks also dealt damage in the tens of millions. Basically, each one of his attacks that triggered the Stellar Guard carried about 10+ million units of damage, enough to completely deplete Arthur’s around 7 million HP in one go.

Anyway, Duskhand ignored the wound on his chest and used Aura projection to replace the severed portion of his spear as he dashed forward and kicked Arthur in the back of his legs, sweeping him off his feet.

He slammed the butt of his spear into Arthur’s torso and knocked him onto the ground, before spinning it around and stabbing towards Arthur’s head.

The young progenitor pulled the impossible feat of avoiding the spear by twisting his neck to the side with so much force he almost snapped it himself.

But despite avoiding the spear, there was nothing he could do as Duskhand reached out with his fist coated in divine lightning.

The speed and impact of the punch which collided with Arthur’s shoulder instantly overwhelmed his durability and blasted Arthur’s right arm off his body.

Silver blood spurted through the air, staining Duskhand’s arm and face. Immediately, a sizzling sound rang out, followed by the sensation of burning as the Divine Human General felt his skin beginning to peel from contact with Arthur’s blood.

’??’

Despite his surprise at the fact that Arthur’s blood had a special nature, Duskhand did not halt his movements, pulling back his fist in preparation to deliver another punch.

Lostvayne and Celestia flew into the air and hurtled towards him from both sides like projectiles, however, the Divine Human quickly pulled out his spear from the ground and knocked the two weapons away in a flash.

The short moment he took to do that bought time for Arthur who had shut off his pain receptors to command the Anti-divinity and destruction energy in his blood.

|¬IGNITE!!¬|

**KABOOM!!!!

The resulting explosion engulfed the area in a deafening blast.

However, Duskhand tanked the blast with nought but a few scratches. He then activated his two Unique Skills and struck with his spear aimed at Arthur’s chest.

’Divine Convergence. Sanctified Judgment.’

Despite the pain he felt when he used his Divinity, he still converged the power at the tip of his spear and attacked with all his might.

The force of Duskhand’s strike created a cataclysmic impact, tearing through the earth and carving out a crater over a dozen kilometres wide and more than half that in depth.

The sheer power behind the attack was enough to shake the very foundation of the land.

Yet, despite the devastation, a shimmering barrier of cosmic energy formed a protective shield around Arthur that absorbed the brunt of Duskhand’s attack, preventing his death for the fifth time.

The fifth and Final time.

Duskhand clicked his tongue in irritation as he lightly kicked Arthur to the side.

"Just when would that Defensive Treasure of yours run out of power?"

Just as he spoke, he sensed danger coming from behind him. Reacting swiftly, he activated Divine Convergence again and pivoted, wielding his spear to meet Lostvayne’s destructive energy slash.

The collision unleashed shockwaves that gouged deep craters into the ground beneath his feet. For a moment, Duskhand glanced at Arthur with narrowed eyes.

’He’s controlling the weapon...?

No...I sense no energy coming from him.

Then that means the Weapon is acting of its own volition!! To think that sword was an Ego Weapon! No wonder the gods warned me about it!’

The man’s thoughts only took a second and he extended his left hand, intercepting Celestia’s swift trajectory as it hurtled toward him, aiming for the side of his skull

’Two Ego Weapons?!’

Duskhand roused his magic power and forced Lostvayne back with his destructive law energy before spinning around and tossing Celestia in a random direction.

He then turned his attention back towards Arthur and moved towards him, raising his spear with the intention to deliver another lethal strike.

It was then that he noticed the boy’s expression.

’He’s...grinning?’

"You sure...you should focus on me? You’d miss it, you know?"

’Miss it? Miss wh-?’

Duskhand’s thoughts were abruptly cut short as a surge of danger flooded his instincts with an intensity never before experienced.

Despite his lightning-fast reflexes, he was unable to react in time to the slash of pure light law energy that crashed into his side with unstoppable force. The impact sent his body hurtling through the air, powerless to resist the overwhelming momentum.

He crashed onto the ground with a deafening thud, his form rag-dolling across the earth’s surface for over a kilometre. Each impact against the rugged terrain sent shockwaves rippling outward, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.

Back at the initial point of impact, Arthur looked up at the red-eyed man standing where Duskhand was a moment ago as he forced out a single line.

"It’s been...Seven minutes, Alvey You’re late."
