Chapter 446: Survive III

Space ruptured and time was distorted by the force of the energy, and despite having been assured by Cattleya that her Destruction energy could NEVER harm him, Arthur’s instincts screamed at him to not dare to go near it.

The High-Ranking Demons and the Transcendent gods battling over 20,000 kilometres away all felt shivers run down their spines and they instinctively snapped their heads in the direction of Cheigh, wondering just what in the Universe was happening there.

Even the gods and Demon Kings who were watching the battle on the frontlines had their attention drawn by the Destruction explosion that was definitely the power of a Deity Realm existence.

However, they all looked on in confusion as they saw not a Deity Realm, but a Transcendent fighting against...a Legendary?

Arthur did not have the space of mind to care for the gazes of the god and Demon Kings.

Heck, he didn’t even have the time to bring out anything from his subspace due to the potency of Cattleya’s destruction energy which had destroyed all surrounding laws of space.

This forced him to be ’careful’ in opening his subspace which worked with spatial laws, so that the entrance he created did not collapse on his hand due to the distorted ambient laws.

However, being ’careful’ required ’time’ and with Duskhand barrelling towards him at near hypersonic speed, Arthur had everything but ’time’.

Ironic, considering his affinity with the Element.

For a moment, his eyes caught sight of the destroyed skies where the void of space could be seen peeking from within the cracks.

Even a Prime World like Aramis had a hard time repairing its fabric of spacetime due to the power of Cattleya’s energy.

As for how Duskhand had emerged without a scratch? Well, Arthur wasn’t the only one who had artifacts and treasures given to him by Deity realm existences.

The man closed the distance between him and Arthur, channelling his lightning energy into his fists as he unleashed a right straight towards Arthur’s face. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Arthur used his spatial, gravity and temporal law energy to create a barrier but it was easily shredded to pieces by Duskhand’s fist.

He raised Lostvayne diagonally and filled it with his silver Null energy, and despite the chills it gave Duskhand, the man still struck forward with unbridled intensity.

**BAAAAM!!!!

A brilliant streak of silver light sliced through the air with unstoppable force, cleaving through a random mountain as if it were mere paper.

Emerging from the other side with undiminished intensity, the beam hurtled towards the earth, impacting the ground with cataclysmic force and carving out a colossal crater spanning kilometres in width.

Arthur, lying in a pool of silver blood, used destruction energy to kill his body’s pain receptors before activating his Pseudo-Authority of Time.

¬Temporal Reversal X5!!!¬

Arthur’s body pulsed with cosmic and temporal energy as he struggled to catch his breath on the ground.

He had succeeded in blocking Duskhand’s fist with Lostvayne and the blade was unscathed despite the power behind it.

But for Arthur’s hands that held Lostvayne? Not a single bone in them remained intact.

His skin had ruptured all over and his lower arm bones had pretty much turned to dust while his upper arm bones had been violently fragmented.

Lightning law energy crackled around his body and he forced it out with Null’s power so his Temporal Energy could rewind the time of his arms to the moments before he had blocked Duskhand’s Strike.

However, before this restoration process was concluded, Duskhand blitzed in at Hypersonic speed, dragging Arthur by the legs and spinning him through the air before flinging him back at the mountain he had just burst through.

The man followed up closely, pulling back his right fist coated in intense divinity and throwing out a full-powered punch infused with a technique aimed at Arthur whose body was embedded in the mountain.

’Lightning Blitz!’

As Arthur’s body collided with the rock face, Duskhand’s fist followed suit, aiming to deliver a devastating blow.

Yet, the Stellar Guard manifested once more, erecting a shimmering cosmic energy barrier that shielded him from certain death, even as the mountain crumbled around him.

In that moment, Arthur raised his half-restored arms and grabbed Duskhand’s fist, before activating a magic spell designed by Devils to be used against Divines.

¬Hex of Divine Disruption!!¬

"?!"

Arthur’s Faux True Voice was imbued with enough cosmic power and law energy to momentarily disorient Duskhand at such close range.

That short moment was enough for the Hex to activate, sending a stream of anti-divinity coursing through Duskhand’s energy circuits.

The man instinctively flicked off Arthur’s arm, and just as he roused his Divinity to force the negative energy out, he recoiled in agony as a searing pain coursed through his body, ’piercing’ his brain and ’shaking’ his soul.

’What in-?!’

A Hex spell cast by a Legendary should normally not even work on a Transcendent.

However, Arthur was the Progenitor Godslayer. He was the most Anti-Divine Existence in the Cosmos and as a Divine Human, Duskhand was very susceptible to Arthur’s powers!

The man’s resistances were ignored like they weren’t even there and the Hex activated seamlessly.

He landed on the floor and quickly dropped down on one knee, before activating a purification technique on himself.

’Radiant Surge!’

The light law energy surged through his body in an attempt to neutralize the effects of the Hex. However, to Duskhand’s shock, the attempt failed, leaving him bewildered by the unexpected turn of events.

’Just what was that spell?! It’s halved my Divinity Output!’

Due to the gulf in power between them, Arthur’s Hex could not completely seal Duskhand’s Divinity and had only halved its output, whilst simultaneously causing him excruciating pain whenever he used it.

It was a significant blow since divinity was Duskhand’s main energy.

However, he was not a fool who put all his eggs in one basket, so his magic power and aura were just as powerful as his divinity.

And those two were completely unaffected by Arhtur’s hex.

Just as the man roused his magic, an Anti-Divinity missile covered in Temporal energy that accelerated it hurtled through the air and reached him in an instant.

He quickly elementalized his body and zapped out of the way, blitzing in zig zags to avoid the other two missiles before reforming his material body.

The man’s hand moved towards his belt and he grabbed what looked like a short staff hanging from his waist.

Pressing a button on the side, the short staff elongated and transformed into a double-headed spear—his spare weapon.

As his original spear had been destroyed in his attempt to survive the destruction energy grenades Arthur fired, he had no choice but to use this one.

The man let gravity bring him down towards the ground and upon hitting the earth, he activated a technique.

"Thunderclap Impale."

Duskhand impaled his lightning spear into the ground, sending shockwaves of electrical energy rippling through the earth in all directions.

The omnidirectional waves of lightning and magic power reached Arthur’s location faster than the boy could recall Lostvayne, so he summoned Celestia and stabbed the weapon into the ground, unleashing a similar attack.

"Extreme Nothingness: Seismic Surge!"

Waves of lightning collided with waves of destruction and temporal energies in a battle for dominance that lasted exactly five seconds.

The winner was obviously Duskhand’s Thunderclap Impale.

Arthur didn’t care though, as he had only used Seismic Surge to buy time for Lostvayne to reach him.

¬The power of time shall accelerate. ¬

He muttered that line under his breath as he unsummoned Celestia and grabbed Lostvayne before kicking off the ground and charging at Duskhand.

’He’s approaching me?’

The man removed his spear from the ground and dashed forward to meet Arthur’s charge.

’Thunderous Thrust.’

His spear zipped forward with lightning converging around it, but before it got to Arthur, temporal energy covered his body and he was frozen in time.

The man retained his consciousness and he flared his magic power, breaking out of the time stop a second later but that was enough time for Arthur to use gravity energy to generate a pulling force that removed his body from the spear’s trajectory.

¬And destruction shall end your very existence. ¬

Arthur muttered to himself, ignoring the earth behind him which had been pulverized by Duskhand’s Thunderous Thrust and kept on dashing forward.

Duskhand spun around and chased after Arthur, catching up to him in an instant and grabbing the back of his neck.

"Enough running around!"

He slammed Arthur face down into the ground, dragging him across the earth for a hundred metres before raising his spear.

’Pseudo-Authority of Destruction: Annihilation Sphere!’
