Chapter 429: Heaven’s Judgement
Learning from his mistake, Arthur silently activated the Stellar Guard, as well as his Pseudo-Authority of Time as he let them use their chains of divinity to hold his body down.
He frowned as he noticed the chains seemed to have some sort of corrosive effect applied on them, but it wasn’t strong enough to bypass his Demon Army uniform’s defences.
The boy then redirected his focus to activating his Pseudo-Authority’s technique, one that he didn’t like using due to its energy cost. Considering Arthur who had energy on par with Sovereigns found it costly, then it showed just how much power it consumed.
It was a technique that first came to mind whenever one thought of a Time Manipulator.
’Pseudo-Authority of Time: Eye of the Future.’
His left eye glowed brightly as a filmstrip of images played in his vision.
Meanwhile, the god and the group of Legendary Divine Humans infused their various energies into the Tier 6 magic circle and activated it.
Immediately, Arthur was treated to a fantastical sight as the Tier 6 Magic Circle morphed into something completely different, with zero symbols which he recognized.
Dark clouds converged above, shrouding the sky and casting an eerie darkness that stretched for hundreds of metres around him as if night had fallen just for that area.
Magic and law power gathered in a storm that swirled with the clouds, drawing attention from all over.
Witnessing this phenomenon, the remaining Aramisian Transcendents gaped in astonishment, wondering just who it was that warranted the use of this particular Spell.
At that moment, the ten Legendries surrounding Arthur called out its name in unison.
[DEMON KILLING WORLD MAGIC: HEAVEN’S JUDGEMENT!!!!]
From beyond the darkened clouds, a massive sword of light peeked out, and at a glance, Arthur could sense at least six energy types within it.
Magic, Aura, Prana, Divinity, Life Energy, Ether.
"Finally, someone who isn’t overconfident and thinks everything can be handled with just divinity."
Arthur’s mutter was overshadowed by the deafening roar as the colossal sword of light hurtled towards the earth with unstoppable force. As it descended at supersonic speed, it pierced the ground where Arthur stood, unleashing a cataclysmic explosion that consumed everything within half a kilometre radius in a blinding inferno of divine power.
Seeing this, some Sovereign Demons felt chills down their spines as they were sure that even if they piled up all their strongest defences, they would not survive this.
It wasn’t the sheer power of the attack that would kill them, but the special properties which they instinctively sensed within it.
When the smoke dissipated, the Divine Humans anxiously scanned the area, expecting to find Arthur’s lifeless form amidst the devastation.
However, their shock was palpable as they beheld the aftermath of the sword’s impact.
A colossal crater marred the earth, its depths reaching a hundred meters, yet amidst the destruction, Arthur remained unscathed.
"H-how....?!!"
Their disbelief echoed in their murmurs as they questioned how such a thing was possible.
Arthur, however, stood unperturbed, his gaze fixed on the giant blade of light that had seemingly pierced through him without harm.
It was as if the sword, meant to cleave him in two, had passed through his form as if he were incorporeal, striking the ground instead.
The glow in Arthur’s left eye dimmed and he slowly raised his hands, breaking through the chains binding him and silently rubbing his palm across the side of the blade.
Silver circuits formed on his hand and stretched out of his body, latching onto the blade and within seconds, there were countless silver lines running through it like veins.
It was as if Arthur’s silver energy was a virus infecting it.
The boy used his destruction power to deconstruct it, destroying the bonds that bound the different parts of the sword and splitting them into their individual pieces.
"What is this law? I’ve never seen it."
Arthur muttered as he felt the energies of universal laws he did not recognize. Suddenly, Lostvayne materialized near him and Celestia appeared a second later.
[Lostvayne says it’s a mixture of Restrictions and Vows...forming a Geass.]
"Geass? A Restriction in return for a benefit."
He thought about the name of the spell and looked at the Divine Humans who were clearly unscathed despite being in the blast radius and nodded in understanding.
"The fact that you all dared to confidently remain within range gives me a good idea of what the restriction is.
And the name of this spell; ’Demon Killing World Magic’, gives me an idea about its Benefit."
Arthur continued his deconstruction of the blade, a small smile appearing on his face as he spoke.
"The Benefit is ’dealing Maximum Damage to Demons, Ignoring their Defences and Durabilites while directly targeting the root of their existence’.
As for the Restriction incurred...this spell would not deal a single lick of damage to anything that’s NOT a demon."
The young progenitor chuckled lightly, before looking around at the Aramisians whose gazes asked just exactly how was it that he was Alive after taking such a hit.
"Before you use a ’Demon Killing Spell’ on someone..."
He increased the pressure on his palm and instantly, Null’s power flowed into the sword of light and destroyed it, turning it into specks of energy that fizzled out of existence.
¬...did you fools not think to confirm if your target is actually a demon? ¬
"..."
Arthur’s faux true voice rang out, and a wave of disbelief washed over the battlefield. The nearby High Ranked Demons looked at the boy with incredulous gazes, wondering if he was a Deity Realm existence in a Mortal Shell.
They could not be blamed, as True Voices were restricted for Deities as far as they knew.
As for the Aramisians, the boy’s question rang out in their heads over and over, bringing upon them the realisation that they had all just automatically assumed Arthur was a demon without ever making an effort to confirm.
They had fought just the Demons alone for so long so when Arthur appeared, they assumed that he was just like McEnda III—the child of a Demon King sent to gain experience.
Even these Transcendent and Sovereign Realm gods were mostly children and grandchildren of god Lords and Kings who were sent to gain war experience in Aramis.
As such, they assumed Arthur who had shown up with the Demons, in a Demon General Uniform, had Demonic-like wings and used strange ’negative powers’ that weakened the Divine—was just like them.
Now seeing how this Secret Demon Killing Magic did not work against him, then it was clear that he was NOT a demon.
Also, they had just revealed the existence of such powerful magic for nothing!!
¬Hall of Fractured Time¬
Arthur’s Bounded Field trapped the dumbfounded Divine Humans, snapping them out of their shock as they instantly made attempts to break out.
¬Now then, you lot just tried to kill me, so you don’t expect me to just let you go, right? ¬
The boy’s lips curled up into an Evil grin as he activated Gravitemporal Harmony, releasing an intense gravitational pressure that squashed everything below Level 300 within range to meat paste on the floor.
Grandmasters above Level 300 were slammed to the ground under intense pressure, and seconds later, they were all consigned to oblivion by the spears of destruction energy that perforated their bodies.
’I didn’t get any EXP when I killed the masters, and half the grandmasters didn’t give anything.
So it seems that when there’s a certain Level Difference, one simply does not gain EXP anymore.’
The Legendries let magic spells and techniques loose on him, but like all projectiles within his Bounded Field, they were captured by Chronospheres.
Immediately, the god who used his fists to disarm Arthur earlier, zoomed in, throwing in a full-powered punch with the force of a mountain behind it.
It was so fast that no one within the bounded field realised he had even moved until they heard the sonic booms, and by then, his fist was already half a metre away from Arthur’s face.
Sadly, Arthur’s reaction speed which had been boosted by the ’Third Magic’ was enhanced to the point where he could easily react to things happening at 3500+ m/s.
It need not be mentioned how easy it was for him to raise his hand and parry the man’s punch to the side.
The boy activated Gravitemporal Harmony’s ’Weighted Impact’ and then took a hefty swing at the god.
A right straight punch led into a left hook, then a right uppercut and a left straight—it was a six-hit combo.
Each time his fist struck the god’s body or arms, it let off a tremendous sound and a huge chunk of the god’s vitality was shaved away.
Arthur then completed the combo with a spin, sending a high kick that launched the god into the air. The god fell and crashed right into the body of a Divine Human, but at that time, Arthur was not paying him attention anymore as the other Legendries who had held back for fear of hitting the god had launched their strikes.
’Celestia.’
The sword leapt into his hand and he completed his spin, unleashing one Cataclysmic Divide that resulted in one dead Divine Human.
’Downforce.’
Arthur exerted gravitational pressure on his opponents, causing them to move sluggishly and granting him the opportunity to evade their attacks by teleporting away, resulting in their attacks striking the empty ground.
Reappearing, he swung his sword using the ’Sword of Victory’ technique, only to be caught off guard when his own attack rebounded towards him.
**BOOM!!!
With a resounding impact, Arthur was struck by the force of his own aura wave, sending him hurtling into the walls of his Bounded Field’s barrier.
"What...just happened?"
Arthur locked eyes with the Divine Human responsible and when he saw the law energy coating her weapon, he understood what had happened.
"The law of reflection...I’ve never fought anyone using it before."
The Divine Human charged at him and Arthur smiled before unleashing another Sword of Victory, and just as he expected, the woman swung the blade at the same moment, repelling his attack and sending it back to him.
Arthur had anticipated this move and had already teleported beside his opponent, his eyes closely observing her trembling arms.
"You’re hiding it quite well—the damage you’re taking, I mean."
"?!"
