Chapter 422: First Kill!

[...I NEED TO INFORM MY DEAR FRIENDS OF THE GOD RACE THAT YOUR STRENGTHS ARE A BIT TOO HIGH FOR THE OCASSION.

AS SUCH, I’M GONNA NEED ALL OF YOU BELOW LEVEL 900 TO DROP BY A FEW STAGES.]

The moment the masked figure floating in the sky spoke, he clapped his hands and released a surge of negative energy that gave all the divine factor wielders chills.

The energy wave phased through their bodies, mixed in with the imperceptible cosmic energy in the form of a silver light.

Very quickly, they roused their divinities to protect themselves but that light was not something that could be barred so it was futile.

Immediately, the silver energy wrapped around their divine sparks and reduced the amount of energy they could use.

Horror appeared on the faces of the low-ranked gods as they noticed their levels drop in real time.

The Divine Humans were also subject to this phenomenon and in a matter of mere seconds, their levels plummeted by dozens.

[ALL OF YOU LEVEL 700s, I NEED YOU TO DROP BY 100 LEVELS AND YOU LEVEL 800s NEED TO GO DOWN BY 50 LEVELS.]

If the Transcendent Realm gods and Divine humans had not taken Arthur seriously before, now, they definitely had.

Without hesitation, two gods roused their divinities and shot forward to attack Arthur, but there was no way the Demons were gonna sit by and watch.

Sylvan lashed out with his bloody thorned branches and Alvey used his Pseudo-Authority to send down rains of light spears at them.

These actions made the Aramisians realise something very quickly, that whoever this masked boy was, he was valuable enough that the Four-Star Generals moved to protect him.

Acting without a care for the current situation, Arthur looked at the Legendries who had been unable to maintain their flight due to the rapid drop in power fell to the ground like rocks before speaking.

[MY DEAR TRANSCENDENT FRIENDS ARE PRETTY FIESTY. DON’T WORRY, I’M A VERY IMPARTIAL PERSON SO I WILL NOT IGNORE YOU.

GETTING YOU TO DROP BY 100 OR 50 LEVELS IS HONESTLY A BIT MUCH RIGHT NOW, BUT DOESN’T MEAN YOU WOULDN’T LOSE ANY POWER, THOUGH]

Once again, Arthur clapped and when they heard the loud sound waves and the energy that was released with it, one of the gods realised what Arthur was doing.

"Sound! He’s using Sound to spread that energy!"

Before anyone could even question the validity of that claim, Arthur debunked it instantly.

[WRONG! YOU COULDN’T BE ANY MORE WRONG!]

The boy shook his head like he was disappointed, but it was impossible for the gods to know that he was a Progenitor who was using his Progenitor Authority.

Arthur’s progenitor Authority showed the best results when activated with cosmic energy, so even though he was limited in how much cosmic energy he could use, he did not hesitate to channel a huge portion of it into his authority.

It was this cosmic energy that enabled the progenitor authority to weaken those with the divine factor, and keeping it up consumed energy continuously.

In this war, however, it was a very useful support skill for the demons as it lowered the strengths of the Aramisians’ greatest combatants and gave the demons the advantage.

’If it’s this, then it’s no wonder that General Sargon values the boy so much!’

One of the Lieutenant Generals thought to himself as he saw the strength of the god he was fighting drop in real-time.

Individually, the decrease was not too much, but when you thought about the fact that this was being done to thousands of beings at once...

’It’s really frightening! If he concentrates all that power on one person, they’d be done for in seconds!’

The demon turned his gaze to where Arthur was, floating in the air and overlooking the carnage of the battlefield as the demons took advantage of the way the Aramisian Army’s morale plunged when seeing the Divine Humans fall from the sky.

He noted Arthur’s hands were behind his back and they seemed to be conjuring something there, but he was too far to tell.

However, his curiosity was quickly sated when Arthur spread his arms wide open and spoke.

[NOW THAT EVERYONE IS ON THE APPROPRIATE LEVEL...]

A massive magic circle flickered into existence behind him when he spoke. It had five rings and was intertwined with many symbols that the Aramisians and Gozonians could not recognize.

It was the language of another Universe, after all.

What they could recognize, however, was the fact that the Circle had the energy of the law of summoning weaved into it.

[...LET’S DANCE!]

**GRROOOARRRR!!!!

A roar that shook the sky rang out across the island as seven long serpentine heads covered in scales emerged from the magic circle behind Arthur.

Each head’s eyes were a different colour and within their maws were balls of light mirroring the colour of their eyes—their elements.

The three heads on the left side gathered magic power from the surroundings and fired it from their maws as massive plasma lasers that tore through the air, turning all the flugels caught in its path to ashes before hitting the ground.

**KAABOOOMM!!!

[BEAUTIFUL!]

Arthur’s loud exclamation overshadowed the screams of anguish that came from the soldiers as the breaths blasted them to oblivion.

Flames roared, and lightning energy sparked with those flames and created even bigger explosions which now spread out due to the power of wind.

The three heads on the right gathered their own share of magic power, before unleashing another trio of lasers.

This time, however, two of the lasers were aimed at the sky, towards the Divine Humans and Flugels who charged towards Arthur to take him out.

Only one hit the ground, but the devastation from the explosion was indescribable with words. A massive hole was borne right through the ground and directly into the underground layer of the Triton’s Ark, colliding with a small-scale Divinity Crystal that powered that Sector and blowing it up.

The second explosion sent shockwaves reverberating through all nearby sectors, and even a section of the gun ports on that part of the Ark went down.

[FANTASTIC!!]

Arthur once again screamed out, his amplified voice serving as a small distraction to the combatting sides, and for the Aramisians who were losing both battle power and morale, distractions were very much unwelcome at this point.

Unfortunately, the creature Arthur had summoned, was one with Seven heads, and only Six had fired.

The last one condensed the most energy of all, and even Arthur turned around in shock when he sensed the kind of power it gathered.

It was enough energy comparable to a Sovereign Realm Existence’s full power attack. If it hit the ground, regardless of the Islands’ integrity, there would be catastrophic damage.

Such an attack was normally able to sink an Island of this size, after all. It was only because the Triton’s Ark had been repeatedly reinforced by Divinity over the years that it would not sink after being hit by such.

Thankfully the beam was not aimed at the ground, but right at one of the Divine Human Transcendents who was in the middle of a fierce battle against a group of mid-ranked demons.

He was normally a Level 903 and in the instant that the head fired its multi-coloured laser, Arthur redirected the power of his Progenitor Authority from the other Divine humans and concentrated it all on that one man.

The end result was not pretty.

Regardless of the Divine Human’s attempts to shield himself, the laser tore through the air with unstoppable force, piercing the Transcendent’s body and obliterating him completely.

The devastating attack left nothing behind but smoking shoes that fell to the ground harmlessly.

Every trace of him was consumed by the devastating blast, leaving no chance for survival.

Despite there being no flashy explosion, no reverberating shockwaves, and no screams of anguish, the Aramisian Army felt this last breath’s effect more so than the previous two.

[MAGNIFICENT.]

Arthur had caused the death of a Transcendent Realm Existence. Even if it was only indirectly, he had still caused a Transcendent Divine Human to die.

The impact was unimaginable.

Immediately afterwards, the magic circle behind Arthur began flickering dangerously, and the Seven-headed beast glanced at Arthur before withdrawing back to its home dimension.

Arthur had only been able to summon it partially, and about 60% of the Summoning circle had been crafted by Barron. It was due to Barron’s Pseudo-Authority that Arthur had been able to summon something much stronger than his current limit of one realm above his.

Since the law energy powering the circle had been consumed and the monster had done its job, the magic circle collapsed and the remaining energy dispersed into the atmosphere.

The Magic circle disappeared, but the shock of a dead Transcendent did not.

Surprisingly, the first Transcendent to Fall today was not killed by a fellow Transcendent or a group of Sovereigns like everyone would have expected, but by an Otherworldly beast summoned by an Inferior Legendary.
