Chapter 417: Convergence of Legions

As soon as Arthur spoke, Sylvan took a deep breath before muttering a chant under his breath. Despite the close proximity, Barron and Arthur could not hear any part of it, except the last two lines.

"Release the True Nature of my Soul.

True Form Release."

**BOOM!!

Sylvan’s aura surged and the man’s Tree form was wreathed in a cocoon of dense demonic energy. Arthur chuckled and shook his head as he felt that even with the cloaking formation around them, there was no way that the Divine Human transcendents were going to miss this surge of energy.

’However, their hands are probably too full to pay us much attention.’

The cocoon of Demonic energy broke open and a giant tree stretching to the top of the Power Plant’s Dome made its appearance.

It had a black trunk with countless dangly branches extending out, each one holding a plethora of dark green leaves that glimmered eerily.

The Wood Demon’s roots pierced the metallic floor and dug deep underground, spreading across the underground layers of the Triton’s Ark while his branches shot upwards, piercing through the ceiling and mirroring their subterranean journey above ground.

Sylvan’s Demonic and wood law energy reserves were drained out rapidly as the man spread his roots and branches all across the entirety of the Triton’s Ark.

Since Arthur’s Blessing of Anti-Divinity only covered his main body, when his branches sometimes encountered the smaller-scale Divinity Crystals scattered throughout Triton’s Ark, they withered upon contact.

His branches were even discovered by soldiers and some of the Divine Human Sovereigns who destroyed them. Some of the gods who were strangely silent despite the ruckus sensed his branches and took action to burn them to ashes with their divinities.

Even so, Sylvan kept on generating more and more branches and roots, spreading them further and further until he reached the edges of the Triton’s Ark.

At this time, Divine Human Sovereigns had reached Sector 28 and killed the Treant he had sent there, while more soldiers rushed towards the Power Plant that they were in.

However, Arthur and Barron engaged the Soldiers, and under the effect of Arthur’s Progenitor Authority, the onslaught of Barron’s summons was too much for them to bear and they fell like leaves in a storm.

Immediately Arthur had beheaded the last Divine Elf, Sylvan spoke.

"In position."

His roots and branches which had reached the planned locations burst out from the ground and dropped metal plates on the ground where they emerged from.

Some of the metal plates were embedded into walls and some were tossed into lakes and rivers.

While the locations these metal plates were dropped on and their sizes were different, they all shared a similarity in the form of the intricate summoning magic circles that had been carefully drawn on them.

Each one had a Magic Stone embedded in its centre to serve as a beacon for Barron and Sylvan to proceed with the next phase of the plan.

"Connected to all the Demonic energy crystals."

"Good. Barron, you’re up."

Arthur called out to Barron who dropped to his knees and slammed his palms on the ground.

A massive six-ringed magic circle manifested beneath him and he began drawing the ambient energy of the law of summoning towards his position to increase the concentration around him.

The placement of the Machines absorbing the energy from the Divinity Crystal Core was planned with this magic circle in mind, as each of them occupied the space where a major node of the magic circle was conjured.

The plan that Barron, Alvey, Barron and Sylvan had long since prepared, was to use the Divinity of the Triton’s Ark’s core to cast a large-scale summoning.

But Barron was a Demon, no way he could use Divinity.

This was where these ten machines came into play, they acted as energy absorbers and batteries, and after Barron deployed his magic circle and mixed in law energy, the magic circle would automatically consume the energy these machines were absorbing.

For this to work, Barron had to completely empty all Demonic Energy from his energy circuits and leave only magic power, because the slightest bit of demonic energy either in the magic circle or mixed in with the summoning law energy, might cause the whole plan to fail.

Demonic Energy and Divinity were not naturally compatible with each other, after all.

This was a very difficult process and they would have had to try it multiple times, even with Barron’s nonstandard skill in controlling his energies.

But this was before Arthur came around.

Thanks to the young progenitor’s ability to manipulate Divinity, the process was a lot easier for Barron as Arthur prevented the Divinity from going where it wasn’t supposed to.

What was supposed to be a single spell cast by Barron transformed into a combo spell cast by Barron AND Arthur.

What’s more, Arthur used cosmic energy to amplify the process, so they were able to pull it off in on go, without any hitches.

Drawing upon his summoning law energy, Barron connected with the magic stone beacons scattered across the Triton’s Ark before calling out in a low voice.

"Pseudo-Authority of Summoning: Beacon Call—Legion Convergence."

Triton’s Ark

November 30th

530th Divine Year

Backtrack a few minutes, above ground the tens of thousands of soldiers of the Aramisian Coalition army had all been mobilized, standing with weapons drawn as they stared up at the clouds.

The Triton’s Ark’s gun ports were active and rotating around, searching for any targets on the water.

Standing at the forefront of all the soldiers were the Transcendent Realm Divine Human and Elf generals, led by the most famous and loved of them all, Lieutenant General Tamal.

Thanks to Major Lamkins, they knew that whatever had been going on in Sector 28 was but a distraction and the main force was coming from above.

The Demons had attacked them via water before, and that had not turned out well for them. It was because of this that Tamal had the idea to have the used-up Divinity Crystals grounded to pieces and poured into the ocean so that the water demons who attempted to use the ocean water to attack would fail woefully at this.

Also, any Demons who dived into the water would be in for hell when they were burned by the Divinity.

Concealing it was his idea to prevent the other Generals from finding out, after all, they had seen traitors in the past so he was wary.

However, this got the attention of the gods and they placed their eyes on him watching him as if he was planning something nefarious.

Despite disliking this, he did not do anything as he had absolutely nothing to hide.

’Major Lamkins suspected that there must have been some insider information. The Damage to Sector 35 was something only Generals were aware of, so how did the Demons know about it and use it to launch a diversion tactic while their main force came from above?’

He asked himself this question as the veil of subterfuge in the sky was removed, allowing the soldiers on the Ark to sense the thousands of demons in the skies above.

Emerging from the clouds were dozens of massive Airships with the Demon Army Insignia printed on their envelopes.

"Ready."

Tamal gave an order and all the artillery weapons mounted on the gun decks pointed towards the sky, their nozzles glowing with bright light as they charged up with divinity.

’Hmm? Now they show themselves?’

The man clicked his tongue internally as he sensed the presences of the gods who were on the Triton’s ark finally moving. He never liked these young gods who only had their high positions because they were the children of god lords and Kings, but he knew better than to voice out that feeling of his.

’Perhaps they already figured I don’t like them so they were wary and sent spies to watch my every move.’

He shook his head to get rid of these unnecessary thoughts before returning his focus to the Airships in the skies.

From the wild auras he could sense on them, there was at least one High Ranked Demon in every five airships.

’Then there’s also the Demon Admiral to worry about. No way the Demons would attack us at sea and their Navy would not be involved.’ 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

While he thought that, the other Generals ordered the artillery to target the airships without high-ranked demons on them.

The moment the first two squadrons of Airships which had completely emerged from the clouds, Tamal gave the order.

[Fire!!]

His voice amplified by magic power, boomed across the entire Military Segment and immediately, the Artillery guns unleashed their barrage.

Beams of supercharged divinity shot forth from the cannons, slicing through the air at supersonic speeds.

Tamal and the other Generals were watching the Airships with the High Ranked Demons to see the actions they’d take, however, none of them seemed to lift a finger.

Just when he was wondering if they’d let all the Demons in those airships die, a calm voice rang out in their ears.
