Chapter 408: Arriving at Whitboro
By Arthur’s command, Cosmic energy wrapped around his body and warped him through space, from the broken mountain to right in front of the open Cargo hold.
He flew in and landed right in front of the low-ranked demon who was looking at him with a dumbfounded expression.
Ignoring the man, he walked up to Alvey who was informing his men on the ground not to bother since Arthur had already taken out the Dragon.
"Did you kill it?"
"Nahh. Subjugated it and turned it to a summon."
"You are really sticking with this summoning thing."
Arthur shrugged and replied that it was fun to do so, before taking a seat and continuing.
"I’m not gonna lie, but I doubt I’d use the law of summoning much after leaving this planet. I only picked it up for fun."
"You seem to have quite the talent with it, would it not be wise to continue on this path?"
"My main Path is that of ’Destruction’. Next up is Time, Space and Gravity.
With the law of Summoning included, I have 20 laws I’m comprehending concurrently."
"That’s a lot."
Alvey was surprised as he had not sensed that many law energies from Arthur. The number was also a bit much as comprehending more laws meant that one’s focus would be spread out too thin and their comprehension of the individual laws would not be all too high.
But of course, Arthur knew this. That was why he had grouped the laws he was comprehending into four groups.
Time, Destruction and Extinction in Group 1.
Group 2 had Space, Gravity, Swords, and Concealment.
Group 3 was where the Elemental Laws, Life and Death, as well as Fate and Destiny were.
The Final Group was just Annihilation and Languages.
The way he was treating the law of summoning these days, however, put it in the Group 2 range.
"Let’s see how far I can go with it this year. I would not neglect my space and gravity though...I’m close to 50% in them."
"Spatial laws are very useful when one becomes a higher existence, and you would also need them because of your Time law comprehensions.
Space and Time are closely intertwined. Your Time law comprehension would stall if you slack on the law of space."
Alvey gave his two cents on the issue, mostly from experience as his Spatial law comprehension had not increased by even a tiny byte ever since he gained a Pseudo-Authority. It took him quite a while to realise that it was because he had zero comprehensions in time, and now he had to get a Time Law crystal.
"If that’s what you need, then I have one with me?"
Arthur dug his hand into his inventory and brought out the Time Law Crystal Alexia had given him, and when he gave it to Alvey, the Greater Demon sighed and pressed his head to his temples.
"What?"
"Nothing serious. I’m just baffled at how it didn’t cross my mind to ask you if you had one.
Maybe McEnda was right, I do have too many things on my mind."
Alvey heaved a sigh and then snapped his fingers to create a spatial isolation barrier, before beginning the process of extracting the law knowledge from the crystal.
Arthur left the man to his devices and returned to his assigned room to get that nap that he had been meaning to earlier.
Before he slept off, he was thinking about making the Summoning law one of his Trump Cards. Something he’d have hidden and only pull out at the last moment when the enemy would not be expecting it.
’It’d be nice to suddenly summon something powerful to trump them at the end.’
He pulled out a pocket calendar from his subspace and marked another day off, noting how fast time flew.
’Almost a month on Aramis.
I’ve got 11 months to go now.’
◇ ◇ ◇
Arthur’s actions of smacking the dragon through a mountain had caused a lot more problems than he expected—for the Aramisians, of course.
The fact that a Gold Dragon, one of the Draconic Royals had been defeated in such a short time was a very big morale killer.
A lot of people had seen the dragon fall out from the sky with blood raining down on the cities below before crashing into multiple mountains.
Though Arthur did not know this, there were Inferior Legendary Realm existences nearby. This was due to the Airship’s route being dangerously close to the dividing point between Northern and Southern Gledea, so there were some Divine Humans on standby as border patrol.
These Legendries had been able to see Arthur’s movements, and they could tell that the person who defeated the dragon was a ’silver-haired young boy’.
By the time Arthur and Alvey had reached the Whitboro Wharf, the story going around was that the Silver Demon Summoner who devastated Duskhand, had killed a golden Divine Dragon.

530th Divine Year
Arthur’s eyes snapped open the instant that a low-ranked demon knocked on his door. He spread out his aura and scanned everything within kilometres in a second, raising a brow when he sensed that there was a large body of water nearby.
"Looks like we’ve reached the ocean."
He got up and changed into his Demon Army Uniform, slicking his hair back before coming out of the room and heading to where Alvey was.
"Good, you’re awake. Thank you for the Time Crystal."
"No biggie."
Arthur opened up his subspace and Alvey dropped the crystal back into it, before turning his gaze towards the Wharf that was coming into view.
As he gazed down from the Airship, the Whitboro Wharf sprawled out before him like a bustling hive of activity.
Whitboro itself, was like Duskhand and Militopolis, a Military City, except in this case, the city was dominated by the Demon Navy and not the Army.
The Naval base bustled with energy, its docks teeming with ships of various sizes, each laden with supplies, weapons and Nuclear Weapons.
’That IS a Nuclear Weapon, ain’t it? I can sense the radiation law energy from here...’
At the heart of the Wharf, a series of imposing structures rose up, serving as command centres and administrative hubs for the base’s operations.
Flags bearing the Insignia of the Demon Navy fluttered proudly in the breeze.
He could see lines of sailors and dockworkers moving purposefully along the docks, their movements synchronized as they unloaded cargo and prepared vessels for deployment. Cranes swung back and forth, their mechanical arms lifting crates and containers with effortless precision, while the rhythmic clang of metal against metal filled the air.
Arthur noticed a group of demons moving through the busy docks, heading straight for the Mooring Mast where the Airship was docking.
It was then that he took his time to note the strength of the Demons present and at a glance, he could easily spot 12 Transcendents.
He and Alvey disembarked from the gondola the moment the Airship’s docking was complete. Alvey had already given the Demons orders so they knew exactly what to do with the cargo.
By the time they reached the ground, the array of transport vehicles carrying the other Demon soldiers from Militopolis had now come close enough to be seen from Whitboro’s walls.
Arthur turned his attention forward and he saw that some of the Demons who were waiting to receive Alvey were all confused upon seeing him, and that confusion turned to surprise when they saw the Two Stars on his uniform.
"General Sargon, good to see you."
"Same here, Admiral Agriker."
Alvey greeted the Admiral in charge of Whitboro, a Noble Demon by the name of Barron Agriker. Like Alvey, the black shoulder-length-haired and brown-eyed man was also a Superior Transcendent.
He was the Naval equivalent of the Army’s Four-Star Generals, and he had the strength and influence to match the position.
Beside him was the Wood Demon General whom Alvey had been corresponding with for the past week, Sylvan Thorneheart.
Standing behind them, were Ten of their High-Rank Demon Lieutenant Generals and Vice Admirals.
"You must be Major General Vaughn, am I correct?"
"Indeed. Nice to meet you, Admiral."
Arthur had just shaken hands with Barron when Alvey dropped a line that doubled Arthur’s interest in the man.
"He’s a Summoner as well."
"Ohh..."
The young progenitor took advantage of their physical contact to scan the man with Cosmic Energy and noticed the Summoning law energy within the man’s body, hidden beneath multiple veils of concealment.
"I’ve only recently stepped on the Summoning Path and my comprehensions in the law are low. I hope to get a few pointers from you."
"Hahaha! This is certainly a surprise. I’d be glad to be of assistance to someone Their Excellencies value so much."
Barron spoke with a light smile on his face, using it as a means to inform his Vice Admirals about the kind of backing Arthur had.
Although Arthur noticed this, he didn’t pay it any mind before turning his attention towards Sylvan and formally introducing himself to the other high-ranked Demon.
