Chapter 380: You. All. Are things that. Do not Deserve to Live.
"The Soldiers who became Divine Humans...do they know where their ’powers’ came from?"
"..."
"Answer me."
"...yes. They are all informed, due to the risks to their lives the process poses."
Hearing this reply, Arthur nodded in understanding as he stopped limiting his senses. Immediately after he did that, the presences of all the Fake Divine Humans in Duskhand started popping up in his perception range.
"My Mother once said that in the Universe, Certain things are only meant to exist for a certain period of time and certain things are not meant to exist at all—that’s why her job as a ’Destroyer’ exists.
She destroys the things meant to be destroyed when they need to be destroyed.
This is not the Hell universe, and it’s certainly not her Jurisdiction, but If she was here, I’m sure she’d agree with me on the decision I’m about to make."
Ger slowly got up from his seat and began walking backwards, but before he could even get far, Arthur’s aura exploded outward, blowing his body right through the reinforced wall behind him.
He reflexively protected himself with magic, so he was unharmed, however, when he looked up he finally understood the reason for the strange ’DANGER’ he sensed from Arthur.
’Fucking Hell...he was a goddamn Legendary Realm!’
A pillar of magic power and aura surged out from Arthur’s body, shooting into the sky and piercing through the clouds.
It went so high up that it could be seen from all ends of Duskhand.
Alarms began blaring all over the city, soldiers got up from their beds and armed themselves within seconds.
It was a fast response, befitting of a renowned Bastille.
But Arthur couldn’t care less.
The boy unfurled his wings and slowly ascended into the sky, overlooking all the magic cannons and mage soldiers with magic circles pointed at him.
He turned around and faced the facility he was in, stretching his hand out and using his gravity control to remove the piles of debris scattered around by his earlier explosion of magic.
This revealed the figure of Ger who had been using them as a cover to sneak away.
"There you are."
With a flick of his fingers, cosmic energy wrapped around Ger’s body and pulled him towards Arthur. The man tried to break free but leaving aside how he could not perceive cosmic energy, Arthur stopped everything below his head in time, so he could not move, nor could he circulate his energies.
He grabbed onto the man’s neck, just in time for the floodlights to point towards him and show his appearance, as well as that of the person he was holding.
"Major Ger!!"
"Unhand him you Demon!"
"A single Legendary Demon dares to make a ruckus!!"
Multiple powerful auras rose up in the distance, with dozens of attacks being fired towards Arthur in that same instant.
They only needed a few seconds to reach him, but Arthur quietly activated his Pseudo-Authority, causing the world around him to slow as his movements and actions sped up rapidly.
The boy shook his head silently as he enveloped Ger with his aura, drawing upon the power of a universal law to create a clear cuboid around the man’s body, kind of like an ethereal coffin.
He let it float in front of him and then within his palms, a smaller replica of the cuboid manifested. Arthur slowly closed his palms together, reducing the available space the cuboid existed within.
In turn, the giant cuboid that trapped Ger’s body rapidly shrunk in size, until it was no different in size from the one in Arthur’s hands.
The two cuboids then combined together, forming a small 10-centimetre transparent cuboid with runic markings forming a cross on it. Within it, was the body of the Major Ger, stopped in time.
"Time Sealing Magic: Eternal Prison."
Arthur tossed the sealed Ger into his subspace, before finally releasing the Time Acceleration he cast on himself, as well as the Time Reduction he applied to everything within a certain range around him.
Replacing the Time Reduction, was the technique he had used in his spar with Rachel earlier in the week.
"Localized Gravitation."
A spherical field with a radius of 5 metres formed around Arthur with the power of the law of gravity. The intense gravity within this field disrupted the trajectories of all the projectile attacks sent at him, causing them to veer off course.
Since he wasn’t limiting it as he did against Rahcel, this Localized Gravitational Field had enough force to bend even magical light, meaning that the Holy and Light magic spells fired at him by the Divine Humans were also redirected towards the ground.
Explosions rang out below him, along with the screams of some researchers who ran for their lives trying to avoid the attacks.
Infusing cosmic energy into his tongue, Arthur began speaking in his Faux True Voice.
|¬Souls Lost in Hell.
Doomed to roam the Fields of Asphodel in vain for all eternity.
Heed to my call and bend to my will. ¬|
The Divine Humans who attempted to combat Arthur in close range were hit with the full brunt of the Localized Gravitation and had their bodies tossed to the ground unceremoniously.
Arthur raised his arm and grasped the air, and the space around his hand began distorting, so much that it broke his localized gravitation.
Multiple universal law energies were drawn into the area around his arm, and for a single second, it seemed as if all colours of the world inverted.
That was how all those who were watching perceived what just happened.
**CRACCKKK!!!
The distorting space around Arthur’s hand couldn’t bear the pressure anymore and shattered like glass, with fragments raining down below.
Now grasped in Arthur’s hand, was a single jet-black sword, its blade possessing dark red lines running through it like veins.
|¬I command you, Rule Breaker Lostvayne. ¬|
Fear.
That was the single emotion that invaded the minds of all those who laid eyes on the weapon.
An existential fear.
They could not be blamed for this, as the power of Null that Arthur possessed began flowing into the sword.
The Legendries were stopped in their tracks, and even the Sovereigns who hadn’t taken action as they believed the Legendries would handle things all felt chills down their spines.
[Kill Him!! KILL HIM NOWWW!!!!!]
Due to their control over universal laws, the Legendries snapped out of their daze earlier and barked out orders with voices imbued with divinity.
This helped those with lower existence realms to regain themselves, after which they all started throwing out attacks with reckless abandon.
Seeing so many fake divine humans attacking him, sensing the divine factors they possessed and knowing how they gained this power, the light of realisation flashed through Arthur’s eyes.
He finally understood the emotion he was feeling.
"Disgust.
That’s right...all of this, seeing so many ’Fakes’...it disgusts me."
The fog in Arthur’s mind cleared up when he came to this realisation.
Nevertheless, the boy did not forget that he was in the centre of thousands of beings who wanted him dead.
He controlled the ambient cosmic and used the powers of universal laws with it.
Water, Earth, Fire and Wind.
The elemental laws were unleashed towards the Divine Human Soldiers, countering all their projectiles while he reactivated the localized gravitational field to stop the ones who came in with close-range attacks.
For the Legendries who used their own law energies to resist the intense gravity and got close to him, Arthur simply released a burst of magic power to knock them away.
[WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING?!!]
[IT’S JUST ONE KID! KILL HIM ALREADY!!!!]
Two voices filled with rage boomed across the inner city, a second before their speakers, two Sovereign Realm existences emerged from their residences.
"To you all, I’m someone you want dead."
Arthur released his energies, an action that shocked all those present as they could now sense all the energies the boy possessed.
Divinity and Anti Divinity coalesced around Lostvayne, along with the energies of the laws of time and destruction.
This sight actually had the Divine Humans stopping in their tracks due to the shock.
To them, Arthur was a Demon, and yet he could somehow use Divinity? That didn’t make any sense."
[IMPOSSIBLE!!]
[HOW COULD A DEMON HAVE DIVINE POWER??!!]
Arthur did not bother to correct their misconception of his race and continued his earlier words as he grasped Lostvayne with his two hands, pointing the blade towards the ground.
"But to me;
You
All
Are things that
Do not Deserve to Live."
Arthur folded his wings and dropped down to the ground, landing with one knee on the ground and Lostvayne held high.
Since he was dealing with Sovereign Realm opponents, Arthur didn’t hold back at all.
He released the condensed energies infused with the law energies of time and destruction into the ground as he called out.
|¬Extreme Nothingness: Seismic Surge. ¬|
And then, the World Exploded.
