Chapter 327: [Bonus Chapter]Kulir I

The Benevolents also had their own share of damages and casualties, with the Benevolent god of wood falling at the hands of the Malevolent god of Lightning before the latter was put out of commission by his Benevolent counterpart.

Also put out of commission, were the Benevolent gods of wind and Lightning, along with many of their half-god subordinates.

As the battle drew to a close, only the gods of Earth, Fire, Space and Light remained suitable for battle on the Benevolents’ side.

But that was much better than the Malevolents who only had the gods of Shadows and Metal in a state remotely capable of combat while the Lightning god was far too injured to risk battle anymore.

What’s more, Esna’s mere presence was weakening their powers, and the buffs she placed on Layla Edward, Nicole and their allies were all making their attacks more effective on the malevolent gods.

The real issue that the quartet faced was the monster waves that kept on coming, their point of emergence being a huge Tier 4 summoning circle at the bottom of a massive kilometre-wide sinkhole behind the Castle.

After Idall took action and succeeded in destroying this circle, the never-ending stream of monsters stopped and they were finally able to route the others that were left within the next few hours.

"We’re almost done."

Ayaan spoke with laboured breathing as he lowered the massive flaming bow that he held in his hands. Glancing around, he saw the scene of Esna absorbing the pseudo-divine spark of one of the Malevolent half-gods and for a brief moment, her power of weakening surged and affected all the gods indiscriminately.

Thankfully she reigned it in before it could cause any serious damage.

The girl rose her hands and roused her magic power, about to activate a spell with the aid of her Catalyst bracelets when her body suddenly began trembling uncontrollably.

"Gah!!"

She let out a scream of pain and then dropped to her knees, shocking the shit out of Ayaan who saw she was fine a mere second ago.

"Layla! Something’s wrong with Esna! Come over quick!"

He used the walkie-talkie he was given to call Layla over, before calling over the Benevolent god of Light who was the best when it came to healing amongst them.

Within a minute all her Layla, Nicole, Edward and Idall had rushed over, their eyes filled with worry as they saw that Esna seemed to be in a worse state than they thought.

Bright red blood dripped down from her lips and onto the ground, her breaths were heavy and her face was contorted as if she was enduring some sort of uncontrollable pain.

Upon noticing Layla’s presence, she looked up to the teenage devil and spoke between breaths.

"I’ve reached...my limit. Can’t hold him...back...anymore."

Just when Ayaan was wondering what Esna was talking about, the ground began trembling heavily, as if a massive earthquake suddenly hit the place that they were in.

[AYAAN!! THE PORTAL!!!]

The voice of the god of Earth rang out, promoting the attention of all those present to turn in the direction of the portal hovering in the sky.

The swirling vortex of darkness seemed to crack open, and from the gaping maw of the portal, a wave of dense divinity and darkness energy spread out omnidirectionally, slamming into everyone on the battlefield.

A streak of black light emerged from the portal and blitzed over to where they were, crashing down on the ground a bit over a hundred metres away from their position with a thunderous impact that shook the earth.

Shockwaves rippled outward, and an ominous presence filled the area, sending soldiers sprawling and forcing every existence below the Epic Realm to their knees under the weight of the oppressive aura.

"This aura...."

The air grew heavy with intense darkness, suffocating the atmosphere with an aura of thick Malevolence.

"Fuck...I knew I was right."

Idall cursed out loud as he looked at the figure who emerged from the cloud of dust and dirt that billowed toward the dark skies.

It was a tall man with an undeniably handsome face and long raven black hair tied up in a low ponytail.

His piercing eyes burned with seething anger, casting an eerie glow upon his menacing countenance.

Every step he took left a trail of decay in his wake, as if life itself recoiled from his touch, and the half-gods who met his gaze felt a chill run down their spines, their very souls trembling in fear before him.

The instant he arrived, his eyes locked onto the figure of the godslayer girl who was down on her knees, and the aura of anger around him seemed to increase.

His lips that were twisted into a frown parted lightly as he voiced out a question.

"It was you, wasn’t it?"

The other Benevolent gods didn’t know what he was asking about, but the Esna and the other three were completely aware of the true essence of that question.

"You’re the one who was using that strange insufferable power on me."

Idall traced his line of sight towards Esna, and knowing about the girl’s abilities, it didn’t take him long to connect the dots.

’So that’s why...’

The reason why this man, the Malevolent god of Darkness; Kulir, had not shown up since the beginning of the battle.

"My lord. Your aura is still..."

The Malevolent god of Metal muttered slightly but the glare that came from Kulir shut him up instantly.

Esna, who had finally been able to recover, staggered to her feet while giving a fearless smile and speaking with a snarky.

"That’s what you get for trying to kill us out of nowhere, fucking dumbass."

Although she fearlessly cursed at the man, this was only on the outside as on the inside, the girl was sweating bullets.

This much was expected, after all, the aura that she, Layla, Edward and Nicole could perceive coming from Kulir, was not that of an Epic Realm existence.

The quartet’s assumption of Kulir’s power level was off by a stage as the man standing right in front of them was an Intermediate Stage Legendary, and not an Inferior Stage as they had initially assumed.

The truth of the matter was that Kulir had long broken out of his seal and recovered his power to the Legendary Realm, before he even started making actions to unseal the other Malevolent gods.

He had recovered all the way to the Intermediate Stage and was on the verge of breaking through to the Superior Stage, something he would have succeeded in doing this morning, if Esna simply wasn’t present.

Esna had sensed that he was already unsealed and noticed he was in the process of breaking through the moment she laid her eyes on the portal, and she redirected 50% of her racial ability towards disrupting his breakthrough process.

She had to give him kudos for his persistence in repeatedly trying to break through for hours while under the effect of Esna’s abilities.

But even so, he had no choice but to give up trying and make an appearance as his forces were on the verge of being annihilated completely.

Thus, we arrive at the current situation, where he was currently staring down at the remaining battle-ready Benevolent gods and the quartet of Alien Demigods.

And despite the strength gap between him and Esna, her racial abilities were still doing a good job of bringing down his power, especially now that she was concentrating the entire effect on him.

Kulir estimated that the current him was only at about 85-90% of his full power.

Even so, that was more than enough to deal with the lot in front of him, as in his peak state, he was capable of combatting and killing average Superior Legendary realm existences.

Yes, just like the quartet, Kulir was a nonstandard type existence who could fight people above his power level like it was normal.

’I am very capable of defeating them all on my own.

In fact, I can see the Fate of my battle against them, and it ends in my victory. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

So Why?

Why is it that the law of Fate is telling me my Fate is still bleak?! What is this weird Karma that the Law of Karma tells me that I’ve sown?!

Is there someone else with them? I cannot sense anyone...or are they that much more powerful that I can’t perceive them?’

He wasn’t wrong about that last bit, as Undine was indeed much more powerful than him. However, as she had stated earlier, unless they were truly about to die, she would not lift a finger.

Hence, she was not included in Kulir’s deduction with the law of Fate. In fact, she had used her own superior control over the law to exclude herself from his deductions, so no matter what she intended to do, he would not be able to figure it out.

Kulir took deep breaths to calm his mind, deciding to deal with things one after the other.

’First, I’d defeat them all.’

♧ ♧ ♧

Hey y’all, it’s your friendly neighborhood author, _michael here. 👋🏽

Well, there’s certainly a lot I wanna say but I also want to keep this short so I’d just stick to the main stuff.

🥇First and foremost, for older readers who have already read far into the story. Remember that filler arc about a sports festival? somewhere around Chapters 142 and 147?

Yeah, I scrapped that.

Not completely, per se.

I just took those five fillers and compressed them into one long Chapter.

This action, left me with five free spaces to put more important, main story related content, and I did exactly just that.

Chapters 142 to 149 looked something like this before:

Chapter 142 - Sports Festival begins

Chapter 143 - Death Bridge Run! I

Chapter 144- Death Bridge Run! Il

Chapter 145 - Tentacle Guard

Chapter 146 - Fall Towers

Chapter 147 - Garuda Shoot & Wall Break

Chapter 148 - Preparations

Chapter 149 - Reactions

But now, it should resemble something like this:

Chapter 142 - The Sports Festival

Chapter 143- Preparations

Chapter 144- Reactions

Chapter 145- Onerth Galaxy

Chapter 146-1000 word-l mean, 1000 seconds

Chapter 147-The demigod Necromancer l

Chapter 148-The demigod Necromancer ll

Chapter 149- The demigod Necromancer lll

As I said earlier, I compressed those unnecessary Chapters into one big Chapter you really don’t need to read if you’ve already read it before, and I added a little extra arc that kind of relates to the main story inside.

From the titles, you can already guess what it’s about, but I’m sure y’all would still read it either way, right? 😄

...right? 😢

ANYWAY, you guys should go check it out and see what changes I made.

🥈Secondly, the Chapter update schedule.

This is kind of the more important one for most of you though.

Anyway, it’s glaringly obvious that I’ve been going through various Chapter update frequencies in the past few months, so much that even I’m put off by it.

So, I decided to stabilize things a bit, and provided there are no IRL complications, I should be able to stick to a 4 chaps/week schedule.

Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays.

I’d do my best to keep up with this.

🥉Thirdly, I have nothing else to say except thank you for following Godslayer’s Legend up to this point. I see all your power stones, Golden tickets, and privilege purchases, and they are very much appreciated.

I’d be picking up the story’s pace from this point on, so sit back and enjoy the ride.

Thanks for your understanding and I look forward to you continuing on our Godslayer’s Legend.

This has been _michael.
