Chapter 319: Radgyn VI

Hence the reason she was unable to reach in time when Nicole suddenly appeared behind her with her bullet Lance in hand.

’Shi-!"

Before she could turn completely, Nicole’s Lance had already thrust into her stomach, piercing right into it and forcing her to vomit a mouthful of golden blood.

Nicole then kicked off the ground and into the air, carrying Radgyn who was implanted on the lance along with her in the air.

"GAhhh!!"

Just when Nicole was about to fling her back to the ground, Radgyn created a water whip that ensured Nicole’s arm quickly, pulling the devil girl closer into melee range before delivering a punch to Nicole’s chest that sent her flying towards the ground.

Radgyn crashed onto the ground as well, coughing out blood due to the weapon sticking out of her torso.

She tried to remove it but she wasn’t given any peace of mind to do so as she sensed two of the water spirits beelining straight towards her.

"You fucking ants!!"

In a rage, she punched the ground with all her might, a resounding crack echoing through the air the instant her fist connected with the earth, splitting the ground open.

From the newly formed crevices, torrents of water surged forward with an unstoppable force.

The cascading waves flowed in all directions, like a relentless tide unleashed across the battlefield.

All the spirits that wanted to interfere in their battle were swept away by the surging currents as the icy landscape was transformed into a watery chaos.

"Guh!"

More blood seeped through her lips as she dropped down on one knee, heavy breaths escaping her lips alongside the blood.

Even in her injured state, her senses still picked up the presence of the teenage devil who appeared a few metres behind her, taking slow steady steps across the waves of water and freezing the ground where she stepped foot.

In her hand was a lance, however, unlike the one formed from spiralling water she had been using from since the battle’s start, this one looked more of a physical construct, a difference Radgyn quickly noticed.

It had a slender form reminiscent of a traditional lance, elongated and tapered to a sharp point and appeared to be crafted from a dark-coloured material and had a sharp blade at its tip, with an edge glimmering with an ominous blue hue.

Within its core, arcane symbols and intricate patterns could be seen faintly glowing with a soft blue luminescence, hinting at the elemental power infused within.

Adorning the length of the lance were delicate engravings of swirling waves and intricate water motifs that seemed to come alive as they caught the light, creating an illusion of shimmering ripples cascading along the weapon’s surface.

Its handle was wrapped in iridescent navy-blue leather, providing a firm, comfortable grip, while the polished pommel at the end of the handle featured a sculptured representation of a navy-blue water droplet.

But perhaps the most captivating aspect of this weapon was the ever-present fluidity of water surrounding it. Like an ethereal veil, a constant stream of flowing water enveloped the lance, defying gravity as it swirled and twirled with mesmerizing grace.

It seemed to respond to Nicole’s touch, moving and shifting in tandem with her movements as if it possessed a life of its own.

This was Nicole’s original Soul Weapon, the one on which she had based her Bullet Lance.

[Have you given it a name?]

"Not yet."

While Nicole was replying to Undine, Radgyn was forcing herself to get to her feet. Seeing this, Nicole applied a simple acceleration spell and kicked off the ground, dashing towards the goddess.

Radgyn generated a spear of condensed divinity and slashed forward, but there was no way she could catch up to Nicole’s speed in her injured anaemic state.

Nicole easily dodged her slash and pivoted around Radgyn’s body, and what rang out next was a simple sound of a blade piercing through flesh.

*PUK!

The tip of Nicole’s lance emerged from Radgyn’s chest, with the goddess coughing out blood while making futile attempts to dislodge the lance from her body.

Nicole only silently extended her left hand, firmly grasping Radgyn’s head and forcefully twisting her neck.

Radgyn tensed her neck muscles and tried to wrestle her head from Nicole’s grip but the girl prevailed in the end, succeeding in twisting the goddess’ neck by 300 degrees.

**CRACKK!!

With a sharp, resounding crack, Radgyn’s life ceased and her lifeless corpse dropped down to the cold hard ground.

"Ow..."

The teenage devil let out a light exclamation of pain as she looked at her now dislocated wrist.

Thinking about it, Radgyn was an Epic Realm existence with powerful bones holding up her body that could withstand attacks capable of flattening entire cities with ease.

As such, the amount of strength Nicole needed to turn the neck of such an existence a whole 300 degrees in one go, especially when the target was resisting was naturally great, enough for Nicole to dislocate her wrist in the process.

The moment that the pained sound escaped Nicole’s lips, Undine instantly manifested her full body and grabbed the girl’s hand, using pain nullification magic, and then forcefully reset the bone before applying healing magic right after.

"Thanks."

Nicole muttered a word of appreciation as she pulled out the lance from Radgyn’s chest, flicking the blood off it and using water to wash off the rest.

She then dismissed the Soul Weapon, taking a deep breath and allowing her body to fall into Undine’s arms.

[Dear, Dear...you did good.]

Just when Undine was about to speak again, she sensed something and turned her gaze towards the distance.

This action made Nicole summon her lance once more, calling the Horse shaped spirit who rushed over.

She put Radgyn’s corpse in her interspatial ring and climbed onto the creature, before finally looking up at the sky, right at the Malevolent god of wind who was looking at her from a distance.

Her action of getting into a battle-ready stance showed the wind god that she was more than ready for another battle.

The Malevolent god of wind gazed at Nicole in silence, seeing that the girl still had around 50% of her energy left, and said energy was regenerating in real time, albeit slowly. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Their gaze turned over to Undine whose strength they could not see through.

With these two factors on the table, the malevolent god judged that engaging Nicole in a battle alone was unwise, after all, they weren’t much stronger than the Malevolent god of Water that Nicole had just killed.

Without an ounce of hesitation, the god turned around and shot forward into the distance, deciding to flee and report with intel about Nicole to his boss rather than fight her now and die uselessly.

[Wise decision.]

Undine remarked upon seeing the god fly away into the distance, before turning to Nicole who had called down the giant bird-shaped spirit.

She climbed onto the spirit’s back and told it to fly back to where the battle between the allied armies and the monsters was still ongoing while the horse followed on the ground.

’Since I have it out again, I might as well just use it.’

Nicole thought to herself as she looked at the Soul Weapon in her hands, the ribbon of water flowing around the lance twirling lightly as if it had sensed her intention to use it.

Within a few minutes, they arrived at the battlefield and Nicole was quite surprised to see that the Allied armies were doing a lot better than she expected.

They had very few causalities and were cooperating well to take out the monsters together.

But still, it was obvious that they would reach their limits sooner or later, so Nicole decided to join the fray and end things.

She got to her feet and walked forward, before jumping off the bird’s back, free-falling for a few dozen metres until the horse spirit following on the ground caught up and jumped into the air.

Nicole landed on the horse spirit’s back in mid-air and balanced herself in the few seconds it took for gravity to bring them both to the ground.

**BOOMM!!!!

The Horse spirit infused magic power into its legs as it landed in the midst of some monsters, squashing the body of one under its hooves and kicking up a cloud of dust into the skies.

"Allied Army, full retreat."

The teenage devil’s calm voice rang out across the battlefield, entering the ears of the commanders who didn’t hesitate to order their men to retreat.

They had a few platoons take up rear guard as they pulled back from the monsters, giving Nicole the space needed to launch AOE attacks without the risk of friendly fire.

Like always, the parasite-infested monsters ignored all the soldiers they were fighting mere moments ago and charged towards Nicole with bloodshot eyes, but in the face of the thousands of monsters, the girl remained calm and circulated her ether.
