Chapter 317: Radgyn IV

But the instant that the Lion’s body left her hands, Nicole blitzed in beside her and grabbed her head, slamming her into the ground with so much force that fragments of shattered earth and debris were sent flying in all directions.

Nicole then spun around and threw out a kick right into Radgyn’s injured torso, breaking the divinity barrier that was blocking her wounds bleeding excessively.

The kick sent the goddess flying through the air, and then to the ground, crashing like a discarded rag and rolling for a few dozen metres.

Although Radgyn was an Epic Realm existence with a powerful healing factor, Nicole wasn’t giving her the chance for her wounds to heal at all.

Nicole sprinted over with breakneck speed, about to send another punch down towards Radgyn, but her senses warned her of danger and she reacted immediately, tilting her head to the side with so much force that a cracking sound rang out from her neck.

This reflexive reaction came just in time to avoid the spear of divinity that suddenly shot towards her head with sonic speed, drawing a thin line of red blood across her face in the process.

"Tss!"

Her skin quickly scaled over like someone had poured hot boiling water on her, something that Radgyn didn’t fail to notice despite her slightly hazy vision.

’This!! She’s weak to my divinity!!’

The goddess didn’t even take a second to figure out the reason for this reaction, but she could not do anything about it yet as Nicole gritted her teeth to bear the pain while grabbing Radgyn’s outstretched arm that threw the spear.

She wanted to drag Radgyn’s body across the ground, but the goddess threw a sudden backflip, landing on her feet and wrestling her arm from Nicole’s grip in the process.

Radgyn followed up with a kick that Nicole blocked with her shield, but the force still knocked her back a few metres, giving the goddess the chance to use one of her healing treasures to instantly heal the stab wound on her shoulder and the holes in her torso and arm from the lion’s fangs.

Immediately after, she took to the skies once more, prompting Nicole to unfurl her wings to give chase, revealing that she had long healed the wound caused by Radgyn, but was only venting her annoyance at having them injured in the first place.

She shot up into the air in a streak of blue light, dodging the dozens of thin pressurized water blades that sliced through the air and hurtled towards her.

*BOOM!!

The ground cracked open and three serpentine water dragons emerged, roaring loudly as they beelined straight to Nicole with their jaws wide open.

Although she dodged the first one, the second one cashed onto her body, holding her in place long enough for the third to do the same and force her back onto the ground.

A fourth serpentine dragon made of concentrated divinity emerged from the ground behind her and tried to bite off her wings, an action that infuriated Nicole when she noticed it.

Waves of Ether burst from her body, sending shockwaves rippling out omnidirectionally as she pulled out her own water dragon technique.

"Water Ether Technique: Water Dragon’s Roar."

The ether condensed and manifested into the head of a giant snake-like dragon with sharp teeth and fired straight towards Radgyn while Nicole summoned her bullet lance and threw it towards the incoming divinity dragon, colliding with it in a massive explosion that devastated the surroundings.

The collision rippled through the air, causing ripples to cascade across the surrounding environment. The sheer power of the impact unleashed a dazzling explosion of water, engulfing the battlefield in a torrential surge.

"Hmm? Oh...!"

Nicole realised that the collision between their attacks had an area of effect that was going to end up wiping out a good chunk of the soldiers, waving her hand to dominate the water elemental energy and redirect the swirling vortex of liquid in another direction.

"Fucking Copycat!"

Radgyn roared out in rage upon seeing Nicole’s water dragon technique, generating a pressurized water spear and throwing it in the direction of the incoming ether-formed water dragon.

**KAABOOOMM!!!!

This collision sent out omnidirectional shockwaves that caused the ground to tremble, the unleashed power sending waves crashing against the earth and carving deep furrows in the ground.

"Again?!"

Nicole called out with an annoyed voice as she used her AquaGenesis to once more control the explosion of water and prevent the torrential deluge of water from surging towards where the allied army was battling the monsters and drowning them all.

In the process of their battle, they had long moved more than three dozen kilometres away from the location of the allied army’s battlefield, but the two were Epic Realm existences who could flatten cities with ease, the destructive power of their attacks was enough to cover everything within a mere three dozen kilometres in seconds.

As such, if not for Nicole’s control, the allied army would have suffered serious casualties, not from the monsters they fought, but from the aftershocks of Nicole and Radgyn’s battle.

It didn’t take the commanders long to deduce that the reason why the massive waves of water that seemed more threatening than the spell Radgyn initially tried to drown them with did not reach them was because of Nicole.

The clash of the opposing water elemental forces echoed through the air like thunder, causing mist to envelop the battlefield and partially obscure the vision of the two water elemental combatants.

And then, as quickly as it began, the explosion of water dissipated, leaving behind a scene of awe-inspiring aftermath.

The sheer magnitude of the explosion and the devastating force it had unleashed had created a monumental cavity in the ground.

It stretched wide and deep, resembling a vast chasm that seemed to swallow everything in its path.

Its size was akin to that of a towering mountain, a colossal scar etched into the battlefield. Jagged edges lined its circumference as if the earth itself had been ripped apart by the sheer force of the clash.

One of the towns nearby had been completely wiped out by the attack, and if it wasn’t for the fact that it had long been evacuated, the casualties would have been in the tens of thousands.

’Good thing we got the intel about the monsters moving in this direction early.’

Radgyn’s movements with her large monster army had been noticed by the scouts that Layla and Ayaan had sent, so they were able to predict her path of movement and evacuated all the towns on the way.

This was also the reason why Nicole was escorting the allied army in the first place, to protect them against the goddess of Water whom she was already aware was coming for them.

Nicole casually moved her body to the side to dodge the beam of blue divinity that shot towards her, before summoning her bullet lance and blitzing towards the ground, down into the massive crater that dug kilometres deep into the ground.

**BOOM!!!

Her lance clashed against Radgyn’s spear, and another high-speed supersonic clash began.

Radgyn tried to use water magic against Nicole but if she used any spell Tier 3 and below, Nicole wrestled dominion over the spell from her and sent it back against the goddess.

She could attempt Tier 4 Magic, something that Nicole would take Nicole close to thirty seconds to gain control over but the goddess needed time to cast such Magic, and Nicole didn’t give her that time.

The ground crumbled and fractured under the force of their weapons clashing repeatedly.

Radgyn lunged forward, closing the distance between her and Nicole in an instant, whirling her spear through the air and aiming towards Nicole’s face that was uncovered by her armour.

Nicole sidestepped the spear’s trajectory, before responding by swinging her Lance in a wide arc, at a speed faster than the eye could see.

The goddess dodged the attack with a paper-thin margin, and it was only three seconds after she did that that the whooshing sound finally reached her ears, showing just how unbelievably fast Nicole’s attacks were.

Without hesitation, Radgyn retaliated, her strikes becoming a blur of motion that left sound behind, but each of her thrusts was met with a countermove from Nicole.

Spear and Lance clashed with force, cratering the ground beneath their feet as the two blitzed through the air as streaks of blue light while delivering powerful thrusts and sweeping strikes respectively.

They separated momentarily to catch their breaths for a moment, before clashing once more and causing billowing plumes of dust and mist to rise up into the air.

A haze of swirling particles and water vapour surrounded them, causing a slightly eerie light upon their clashing forms.

The earth crumbled and disintegrated as they kicked off the ground and into the skies, flying over to what was left of a nearby forest while clashing repeatedly.

Trees toppled, rocks shattered, and the once serene landscape transformed into a landscape of destruction.
