Chapter 308: Superior Epic

The three Vaughns floated a distance away as they silently watched the scene of the demigod’s corpse plopping down into a pool of blood.

"So, what do you think of Arthur’s performance?"

Creusery spoke up, posing a question to his sister who was gazing at her son with a light frown on her face.

"Fine. I’d let him go.

He’s still a bit reckless though.

Knowing the stage his law comprehension in time had reached, and his actions in the battle, I can already tell he purposely waited for them to use that artifact on him. And because of that, he had his arm burnt off."

The woman replied with a deep sigh, eliciting an exclamation of surprise from her brother, while her grandfather beside her only just nodded as he had long arrived at that conclusion.

"Wait up! He did that on purpose?!"

"That’s what I’d do if I was in his situation."

"Oh...and he has a thought process that’s frighteningly similar to yours...got it."

The Crown Prince of the Devildom shook his head with a wry smile, muttering about how his nephew took after his sister in the worst ways.

"Anyway, you heard that demigod’s words, right?"

Lucifer’s words made Creusery’s smile vanish as he nodded in affirmation before turning towards Cattleya.

"One of the Academy Directors requested an Audience, and I sent my Avatar to him."

"So, what they think is you, is actually your Avatar?"

"Yes."

Hearing her reply to Lucifer’s question, Creusery pressed his fingers to his temple as he thought about Cattleya’s collection of Avatars and Clones that had little to no discrepancies from the real her.

Heck, it could even fool his bloodline resonance, and he sometimes had a hard time differentiating if he was speaking to the real her or not.

"Besides Dad and Arthur, no one else can differentiate. Oh, Mum figures it out sometimes too."

The best part about the situation is that not many people knew about the existence of her Avatars, and the fact that she had about a dozen lying dormant in various parts of the Hell universe.

"Anyway, the fact that a Director called you out at this point in time, and the demigod’s words. That Director is most likely a traitor.

What rank and race?"

"Mid-Level. Elf."

"Light or Dark?"

"Light."

"Not so surprised."

Creusery shook his head slightly after hearing the details from his sister, but his reaction showed it was something he did not find shocking, after all, there were indeed people within the Devildom’s upper echelons who had dissatisfactions with Arthur’s existence. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

"Let’s go take care of him."

In response to her brother’s words, Cattleya formed a finger gun with her hand and pointed it towards his head, shooting a beam of grey light that transferred the spatial coordinates for her Avatar’s current location.

The Half-Phoenix then used his authority of space to generate a spatial portal leading to the location which the two proceeded to enter, leaving Lucifer behind.

Looking at the demigod whose soul had been consumed by ’Null’ and turned to ’nothing’, Arthur disabled his Bounded Field, plopping Lostvayne on his shoulder as he spoke.

"I’m so NOT using Chronoslash again until I get a full Authority."

[Master, I can bet your movie collection that you’re definitely gonna use it again.]

Celestia’s retort had Arthur’s brow twitching multiple times, but he took deep breaths to calm himself before using the residual spatial laws in the area to open his subspace and pull out three energy potions, downing them one after another.

"Bleagh! Bitter!!"

Taking another set of deep breaths, he turned his gaze to the demigod corpses on the floor, scanning them and noting that their souls had all been turned to ’Nothing’ by his ’Extreme Nothingness’.

"I think using that technique is the best way for me to utilize my Annihilation. Using Null directly consumes way too much energy.

Thankfully, I have multiple energy types in my body."

He spoke as he used his divinity to pull out all the corpses he had gathered during the course of the battle, dropping them on the floor before holding up his arm.

[Authority of the Progenitor: Divine Spark Extraction.]

The ambient energies thrummed lightly, wrapping around the demigod corpses. Right after, all their Pseudo Divine Sparks burst out of their chests and floated up into the air.

[Attraction.]

All the extracted energy cores floated all the way towards his outstretched arm and he grabbed them, holding all 13 sparks in his hand.

"I should get a few abilities from these, right?

Core Absorption."

Silver circuit patterns appeared on his arm, stretching out from his fingers and latching onto the divine sparks in his hand.

After a few seconds, a light frown appeared on his face as he spoke.

"The haul was far less than I thought...

Oh well."

He shrugged his shoulders lightly as the pseudo-divine sparks began breaking down in his hands, the energy within them escaping in the form of a multicoloured mist that slowly began seeping into his body.

Eventually, the energy flow became stronger and, in a few seconds, it had turned into a swirling tempest of raw energy surrounding him.

Due to his deeper energy reserves, Arthur required far more energy when increasing his Existence Realm. But his energy reserves would always see a quantitative and qualitative increase each time his realm or stage went up.

This was part of the reason why he could easily trump people on his level with ease, practically making him undefeatable in the same realm.

Of course, this is without taking into account the portion of energy sealed by Cattleya.

Coming back to the current situation, the divine sparks in his hands began emitting a kaleidoscope of vibrant hues, with a surge of energy coursing through his energy circuits and tearing down the barriers of the Superior stage.

Due to the fact that he was absorbing Divine Sparks of Legendary Realm existences, there was far more than enough energy to carry him all the way to the peak of the Superior stage in one go.

His aura intensified, crackling with newfound power, and the ambient energies around him seemed to tremble in awe at his elevated state.

’Oh, it’s not me per se, but the law energies responding to my Time Origin Core.’

Arthur thought to himself with a light sigh, tapping his leg on the ground and generating a small elevated earthen platform and taking a seat on it.

"Time Splitting sword, huh?"
