Chapter 307: Chronolash

Now then, Arthur had a surefire means to kill this guy, and that was by using one of Hades’ authority crystal charges, but he wasn’t going to waste something that valuable here.

Besides, if he released the amount of energy required to kill this guy from the crystal in one go, he may not be able to survive the backlash in his current fairly exhausted state.

But other than that, Arthur could also try to draw out extra power from Lostvayne, another thing that’s sure to either result in his near death, or lasting soul damage.

This left Arthur with little to no means of dealing with this man who currently had a Low-Tier Deity’s defensive prowess.

’Currently?’

In an instant, it was as if a veil was lifted on his mind and like a bolt of lightning, Arthur felt a sudden surge of clarity.

’He has it "Currently", he didn’t have it "Before".

The answer’s been in your face the whole time Arthur.’

The automatic Chronospheres of the Bounded Field kept on capturing all the attacks that the man threw towards Arthur, but the boy completely ignored them and looked up at him.

Seeing the calm expression on the boy’s face, the man felt something wrong. He expected Arthur’s energy to have been exhausted by now as his actions of throwing attacks towards Arthur ’in rage’, but little did he know that the Bounded Field was currently not being powered by Arthur, but by the surrounding Cosmic Energy.

He would have been even more devastated to find out that Arthur, had actually been regenerating his own energy in the past few minutes.

"While you were bragging about your sad life, I’ve figured out a way to defeat you."

The boy’s sudden words made the man stop his actions as he stared at the boy with narrowed eyes and spoke.

"You’re bluffing."

"Sure, that’s what anyone would think."

’Anyone without comprehension in the law of time.

This is something that should NOT be activated with a Pseudo Authority’s half-formed Time Origin Core.’

Arthur thought about how much time had passed since he activated Seismic Surge and his power of time told him the exact amount of time that had passed.

256 Seconds.

’I only have 44 seconds left before my window of opportunity is gone for good.’

While thinking that, he simultaneously used the ambient cosmic energy and the Bounded Field as a Conduit to activate his Pseudo Authority silently, taking advantage of the fact that the man could not sense cosmic energy.

And because he could not sense the energy, he could not tell what Arthur was doing, neither could he see the translucent blue projection of light that was appearing behind him.

A projection of him exactly 265 Seconds ago, exactly 35 seconds before Arthur activated his Seismic Surge.

’To ease the burden on myself, I can’t use you, Celestia.’

Arthur unsummoned Celestia and pulled out Lostvayne to take her place.

The instant he made that switch, the demigod went on guard as he had seen how devastating Lostvayne was earlier.

’It’s probably a weapon his mother gave him.

In other words, the weapon of a Deity Realm existence.’

He slowly used his own divinity to form an energy sword construct which he grasped tightly before speaking.

"You want to use that sword? It’s not going to work.

Even if it’s a Deity Realm existence’s weapon. An Epic Realm like you cannot bring out even a fraction of that weapon’s full power.

At most, a nonstandard type like you can use that to sink a few islands, and probably blast a small country to bits for a price. But that’s not enough to bypass my current defences."

Arthur ignored his words and stared at him blankly, silently using the essences of the laws of time and knowledge to access the records of the ’world’ within his Bounded Field and overlay that record on the present.

’15 Seconds. Now!’

Immediately Arthur thought that, he kicked off the ground and dashed forward at Sonic speed.

He rose his sword up and channelled his energies into the weapon, making it tremble in light displeasure as the sword of ’Destruction’ didn’t like the feeling of the energy of ’Time’.

However, the blade had to allow it because Arthur was the current holder of ’Null’.

At the same instant, Arthur muttered a single word under his breath.

"Null."

His ’Annihilation’ was fully activated for the first time in battle, causing dark purple circuit patterns tracing his energy circuits to appear on his skin.

The crimson lines running through the jet-black blade in his hand like veins took on a dark purple hue as the energies of time, and Arthur’s Annihilation coalesced around the blade.

Every single drop of Magic power, Aura and Anti-Divinity in his body was sucked up into the blade as he raised overhead.

"It’s FUTILE!!"

The demigod screamed out in response as he dashed off towards the incoming Arthur with all of his might.

Just before their two blades clashed, Arthur used cosmic energy to activate the short-distance spatial spell that allowed on to teleport where the eye could see; Blink.

He vanished and the man’s sword slashed through the empty space where Arthur was half a second ago much to the demigod’s shock.

’Where did he go?!’

Arthur reappeared behind the man, right in front of the projection and swung his sword down, slashing through the projection diagonally, from the shoulder to the bottom of his waist.

**BOOMM!!!

The energy of the universal law of time surged in the surroundings. Purple tendrils of lightning crackled in the air, flickering between dark purple and Arthur’s signature silver.

"Huh?....what did you just do?!"

The demigod turned around and asked reflexively asked when he saw that Arthur had slashed what appeared to be a projection or illusion of himself. His fear became evident on his face as he discovered that for whatever reason, he could not move.

Arthur only staggered slightly due to his energy-deficient state, stabbing Lostvayne into the ground and using the sword to keep himself on his feet as he turned around with a smug grin on his face and spoke with his faux true voice.

|¬Pseudo Authority of Time: Chronoslash¬|

At that moment, the 300-second mark was reached and the ethereal projection generated by the intertwining energies of the laws of time and knowledge shattered into fragments of bluish-grey light.

Simultaneously, a profound sense of foreboding gripped the demigod’s very soul. He suddenly coughed up golden blood as a long diagonal slash wound suddenly materialized on his torso.

**CRACKK!!

A resounding crack echoed through the air, the sound of the law of fortification’s defensive energy layer cracking like glass, before shattering to pieces nearly instantly.

It was quite a gruesome scene as golden blood splattered everywhere, some of it even reaching Arthur who was quite some distance away.

Collapsing to his knees, the demigod’s widened eyes locked onto Arthur’s form, a mix of disbelief and horror etched upon his face while he used his hands to hold his waist and his shoulder, but it could not stop the blood that spilt endlessly.

"You might have the defensive power of a Low-Tier Deity now, but you didn’t have that 300 seconds ago."

His eyes widened in shock as his brain used the last of its power to compute Arthur’s words and instantly figure out what Arthur had done, but it was pointless.

After all, he was already dead.

His weakened hands slipped from his wounds and his upper body gradually slumped into the pool of his own blood, with the remainder of his lifeless corpse following suit.
