Chapter 276: Increasing Comprehensions
"Was that your doing?"
"No. I most certainly did not expect the boy to get to Lostvayne. And without recovering Celestial Darkness’ fragments first.
Even his knowledge about Balance is a surprise to me."
The black hooded being, the First Progenitor, replied to Hyperion’s question with light surprise in their voice as they stared at where Arthur was standing a few moments ago.
"As I thought, it’s him, huh?
The only things that were supposed to come here, were his consciousness, and Lostvayne’s spiritual body.
Yet, the boy’s soul-bonded weapon followed him."
"Don’t try to take it from him...it’d only be a hunk of metal in your hands. ’She’ would not listen to you."
"I could see that much."
Hyperion replied before getting up from his throne and walking in the opposite direction of the spinning wheel of fate.
"I’m leaving.
I have better things to do than to worry about a brat who’s not gonna be of any use for the next few million years."
Leaving those words, he disappeared from the space, with the First Progenitor who was left behind bursting into laughter.
"A Million years? He’s not going to need that long."
The spatial tear reopened and they re-entered it, leaving two words before it closed up completely.

Arthur’s eyes snapped back open as he gazed around him in confusion, looking at the lone jet-black blade with dark red lines running through it like veins that were now held firmly in his hand.
"Arthur!!"
He heard his mother’s voice and turned around, narrowing his eyes when he noticed that despite the fact that his conversation with Hyperion should have taken a few minutes, Cattleya was still in the same place she was before, as if...
’...Not a second has passed.’
The boy did not know this, but the dimension his consciousness had entered, was one that existed beyond ’Time’.
Of course, he also did not have the time to think about that as Cattleya came barrelling over, checking his body to see if there was anything wrong and sighing in relief when she noted he was fine.
Arthur broke out of his mother’s hug before raising the sword in his hand and willing it to ’unsummon’, his command being accepted as the sword faded into particles of light that entered into the back of his left palm.
"You succeeded...In a way, I had not expected."
Lucifer’s Vestige spoke between claps as he walked up to Arthur, with the young progenitor narrowing his eyes and glaring at the man.
Seeing Arthur’s reaction, realisation flashed through Lucifer’s eyes as he slammed his fist on his palm and asked Arthur...via telepathy.
’Did you meet ’him’?’
’Yes, I did. A heads up would have been well appreciated.’
The boy shot back as he confirmed that all his artifacts were still on his body, finally understanding that he hadn’t spoken to Hyperion physically.
’Just what was that dimension?
The sheer amount of fate essence there was frightening.’
’Ahh...the was probably the where the wheel of fate was.’
’Probably?’
’I met him in a different place.
Hyperion is rumoured to know the location of the wheel of fate, the rumoured origin of the law of fate itself.
If you met him in a strange dimension that has absurd amounts of fate energy, then it’s probably there.’
’I see...’
The conversation between the two only happened in a second, before Arthur turned his attention back to the dark purple circuit patterns on his arm and spoke.
"I’m going to try and increase my law comprehensions. My current level is barely enough to keep the limited Lostvayne at bay."
With that, he returned to the room he had been in for the past few ’weeks’ and entered a law of death and darkness comprehension session, with the aid of their opposing laws of life and light.
As the law energies of death and darkness rushed into his body, Arthur also did the same with the laws of life and light, with this being the process of a law comprehension technique that Lucifer taught him.
**BZZZZ!
Friction seemed to occur for a millisecond as the opposing energies bathed his body half and half, their collision point causing a repulsion as they vibrated extremely close to each other.
Simultaneously, they also attracted each other as his energy core pulled the energies towards them while his soul was piecing together the bits and pieces of the laws’ knowledge using the energies infused into it.
Every time the opposing energies came in contract with each other, they became agitated and pushed against each other, becoming aggressive as this reaction caused them to rush towards his energy core at a faster rate.
The law energies he possessed became more and more saturated, creating a rapid progress in his law comprehensions as his energy core absorbed more essence rapidly while his soul assembled the information on the law’s working process.
’At this rate, I might meet the requirements to gain an authority before I become a transcendent.
That’d be good, though; It means I’d gain Pseudo Authorities in these laws.’
With those thoughts, the boy continued his law comprehension session that lasted for exactly 144 hours.

October 10th?
Year 717?
"Drat...missed it again."
Those were the words that escaped the lips of a certain highly beautiful young lady who looked no more than 18, with a slender yet curvaceous build and fair skin.
She had sleek calf-length crimson hair that slowly transitioned into a dark purple colour towards the tips, left to flow freely with straight fringes to frame her face.
This girl was dressed in an ensemble consisting of a white puff shoulder bell sleeve blouse, with a standing collar tied with a black ribbon, in addition to two more tied under the shoulder puffs, a pair of black chevrons with a series of ovals adorning the sleeves.
Atop that was a red double-breasted apron dress, cut down the middle from her abdomen o reveal a white petticoat, complemented by a black under-bust corset-like garment.
This was all worn under solid black tights and crimson high-heeled boots with a black saddle and collar.
She currently had a pouting expression on her face as she stared at the ’GAME OVER’ displayed on the tablet in her hands, about to click the ’RETRY’ when another voice rang out in the room.
"You’re on your games again?"
Looking up from the tablet, she locked eyes with a handsome middle-aged-looking man with long red hair, a neatly trimmed red beard and glowing red eyes. He also wore silver-red armour with a high collar and a reddish-brown tailcoat.
"I’ve got nothing else to do. And no one to talk to, so the games are the only things keeping me busy."
She replied to the man’s question with a yawn, before restarting the game, rapidly tapping the tablet’s screen with crazy speeds.
Looking at her, she appeared to be a typical young human noble girl, if you ignored the two black horns that were jetting out of the sides of her head, along with the long black-red scaled tail that peeked out from under her skirt.
Her eyes also showed her inhumanity, following the same colour scheme as hair, with purple irises and crimson slit pupils.
The red-haired man sighed softly as he saw her get engrossed in the games once again, before taking a seat on the armrest of the couch she was on and looking over at the screen.
"Isn’t this that ’Tetris’ game? It seems Luka had somehow succeeded in initiating you into her ’retro game cult’..."
