Chapter 275: Hyperion!
’That’s not a wall.... that’s someone’s...foot.’
Arthur was dumbfounded by the sight that he had unconsciously ignored the dense essence of the law of fate that permeated the entire space he was in.
The boy’s focus was more on the fact that he was now suddenly standing at the feet of a gigantic being, with a body so large that Arthur was even smaller than an ant when compared.
|Hmm? |
A True voice brimming with cosmic authorities rang out, and before Arthur could even react to it, he felt a heavy gaze come to rest on his body.
Cold sweat poured down his back as he slowly cranked his neck upwards, somehow locking eyes with the gigantic being who was now staring down at him.
|Hoh? |
Suddenly, the enormously large existence started shrinking down in size rapidly, until the point where he was just a bit over ten feet tall, allowing Arthur to get a good look at his appearance.
It was a man wearing a simple t-shirt and black jeans, but despite his casual dressing, he gave off a domineering aura like he was a true King that ruled over billions.
He had golden eyes and hair and also a little beard on his chin, and on his wrist was an obviously expensive chain watch that jiggled as he rested his hand on the armrest of the throne he was seated on, before going on to prop his chin upon his palm.
|It has been quite a while since anyone has attempted to conquer Lostvayne.
And you...have the blood of the last brat who tried. |
The man opened his mouth and spoke with his true voice, each word releasing waves of authority that had Arthur covering his body with as much cosmic energy as possible just to prevent his soul from trembling.
He tried to use Hades’ crystal, but he quickly noted that besides his clothes, Lostvayne and Celestia, he was not with anything else in this place.
|Last time it was a Devil, and this time, it’s a Singularity. |
The being leaned forward as if trying to study Arthur closely, a smirk appearing on his face as he spoke.
|You have the essence of the Devils, but you are not one. You have the aura of the gods, but yet you stand on the opposite of their spectrum.
You are a completely different existence from them, isn’t that right, Young Progenitor? |
Arthur was not surprised at the man deducing his Progenitor identity, as he had already expected this from the instant he laid eyes on him.
What surprised him, however, was that the man had reduced the authority in his voice, perhaps out of consideration for Arthur?
’Well...he seems to want to talk, and I’m guessing he realised that’d be impossible if I’m too preoccupied dealing with his true voice’s authority.’
Arthur thought to himself, heaving a mental sigh as he looked up at the being seated on the throne and asked, using his own Pseudo-true voice.
|¬Who are you? ¬|
In response to the boy’s question, the man leaned back on his throne and pointed towards Lostvayne before answering.
|Me? I’m the one who created the weapon you’re trying to subdue. |
Ignoring Arthur’s shock at his upon hearing him, the man continued his words.
|Considering the divinity I can sense from you, would you recognize who I am if I said I am called the ’Lord of Heavenly Light’? |
Seeing that Arthur still had a trace of confusion in his eyes, the man sighed softly and spoke.
|Children these days, not even bothering to brush up on their history. Oh well...|
|I am the being who stands against ’Chaotic’ Creation...someone who ’Aggresses’ it, you can say.
But before that, I am the origin of all Titans in the Cosmos, their Progenitor. |
The ambient essence of the law of fate swirled around him while churning wildly as he completed his words.
|My name? Hyperion. |
Arthur had considered the possibility when he noted the man’s enormously large body size, but hearing the man confirm his thoughts still did not lessen the shock he received.
The Progenitor of the Titan Race!
One of the oldest and most powerful Progenitors in existence!
And that Progenitor, was the creator of the Rule Breaker: Lostvayne.
’Did Lucifer know this?’
The way the man spoke, it was as if he had met Lucifer in the past when the Devil King had attempted to place Lostvayne under his control.
However, his thoughts were cut short when the sword in his hands suddenly escaped his grip and floated up to Hyperion who grabbed it with his large hands and looked it over.
|It’s been a while since I saw this guy. |
The sword trembled lightly as if it was responding to his words, with the Titan chuckling lightly before tossing the weapon back to Arthur.
|¬Are you perhaps...the creator of the ’Rule Breakers’? ¬|
|What do you think? |
He shot back to Arthur’s question with a question of his own, momentarily turning his gaze from Arthur and looking at the gigantic spinning wheel of fate essence that the boy’s eyes could not see.
’Even though he has Cosmic Superiority from being a progenitor, that does not equate to being able to comprehend the sight of Higher Dimensional items.’
|¬What’s your goal here? Why did you summon me? ¬|
|Summon you? I did no such thing.
I was merely waiting for someone to arrive, and you showed up instead.
It’s a little something that happens whenever someone attempts to subdue a Rule Breaker on Lostvayne’s level. |
Hyperion replied calmly as he looked at his watch, sighing to himself as he realised the person he was awaiting had no plans on meeting him.
’She’s still avoiding me, huh?’
Unaware of the older Progenitor’s love troubles, Arthur turned around and looked at the ’dimension’ he was in, trying to comprehend the source of the absurd amount of fate essence he could sense, but failing woefully.
|You have not reached the required dimensionality to see it, so do not bother. |
Hyperion spoke as he instantly saw through Arthur’s interactions raising his hand and gathering Cosmic energy around his palm.
The boy instantly inferred that the Progenitor was about to dismiss him, so after a second’s deliberation, he grit his teeth and voiced out one last set of questions.
|¬You’ve like, lived for eons, right? And you’ve seen tons of stuff.
Do you know the meaning of the term ’Balance’? Is it a person, a concept, or an artifact or something? ¬|
Arthur’s question caused Hyperion’s hand to stop mid-air, his golden eyes narrowing for a second, a reaction that Arthur did not miss.
|¬You know something, don’t you? ¬|
Hyperion stared at Arthur in silence for a few seconds, scanning the boy’s very existence from head to toe before frowning.
’Weird, he hasn’t met that person. So how does he know that term?’
The older Progenitor only sighed and shook his head, before waving his hand and sending Arthur’s consciousness back into his body.
◇ ◇ ◇
After returning the boy’s consciousness, Hyperion waited in silence for a few moments, when the space beside him suddenly ripped open.
Like how one would open a pair of curtains, two black-gloved hands appeared from within the tear and widened it.
Next, a being emerged from the spatial tear, one wearing all black with a hood above their head that obscured their face from sight.
Two dots, glowing in an iridescent light could be seen from inside the hood as the being closed the spatial tear before turning to Hyperion.
"Was that your doing?"
