Chapter 277: Path shown by Providence

"Isn’t this that ’Tetris’ game? It seems Luka had somehow succeeded in initiating you into her ’retro game cult’..."

"The game’s fun, plus the extra tweaks to make the tetrominoes fall faster help me to train my kinetic vision."

She replied without taking her eyes off the screen, her pupils darting around at inhuman speeds to spot the different pieces of geometric forms descending the screen, while her fingers tapped the screen rapidly to adjust them laterally and rotate them before they reached the bottom of the screen.

’I’m pretty sure the developers of this game clearly did not intend for it to be played this way...’

Just when that thought came into the man’s head, ripples appeared in the space a few metres in front of him, with him turning his gaze in that direction a second before a tall dark haired humanoid man appeared via teleportation.

Similar to the young girl gaming, he had black horns jutting out of the sides of his head, with a long black scaled tail, with an extra six pairs of bat-like wings that were folded at his back.

"Lord Progenitor."

The man, an Elder Breed Dragon dropped on one knee as he greeted the red-haired man seated on the couch’s armrest, the Progenitor of the Dragon Race, Aleksas Weiss.

"Report."

"The scouts have discovered a certain section of that Multiverse with a high concentration of dragon factors.

All the lesser dragons we interrogated showed abnormal levels of strength compared to their peers across the cosmos, with them having noticeably high existence realms at birth too.

We believe this section to be high on the list of potential locations where they could be slumbering."

After hearing the Elder Dragon’s report, a grin appeared on Aleksas’ face as he spoke out loud.

"No doubt about it. It’s definitely them."

He then ruffled the hair of the young lady beside him, distracting her from her game and consequently making her fail it while he spoke.

"Altrishia, play time’s over."

"Wha?! Lord Aleksas! How could you?! I was so close to clearing that level!!"

Hearing the girl shout at the Progenitor of his race simply because his actions made her fail at a mere game, the Elder Dragon who was still kneeling wanted to flip out in rage at the sheer disrespect, however, he had to hold himself back.

The dragons followed a strict hierarchy, and according to that hierarchy, that young girl ranked higher than he did.

Yes, the crimson-purple-eyed girl bickering with Aleksas, was an Ancient Breed Dragon, and although she was the youngest and weakest of them, she was still an Ancient Breed nonetheless.

One that had come into existence partly due to natural causes and party due to Aleksas’ Progenitor Authority; Race Creation.

Lastly, she was obviously favoured by Aleksas, he didn’t dare slight her even by accident.

"Tsk...So? Did you finally find where those guys are?"

"Yep. We do have to search more than a ’few’ universes, but those six old fools are bound to be in one of them."

"Finally. I can start getting stronger properly."

The girl, Altrishia, spoke as she got up from the couch, throwing a glance at the kneeling Elder Dragon before tossing the tablet on the side stool beside her.

"Alright, let’s go."

She wrapped a thin layer of cosmic energy around her body as she spoke, with Aleksas nodding in satisfaction as he noted her energy manipulation skills had become even better than before.

"Lead the way."

"Yes, Lord Progenitor."

The Elder Dragon replied as he used cosmic energy to rip open a spatial channel in front of him, with Aleksas and Altrisha entering it after him before it closed right after.

**CLANG!! CLANG!! CLANGG!!

The rhythmic sound of a hammer slamming down atop a piece of metal rang out in the large workshop, with each hit releasing soundwaves that were capable of bursting the eardrums of a transcendent realm existence.

A large bronze-coloured hammer thundered down over and over again, hammering the metal ore on the similarly coloured anvil.

The authority of the universal laws of blacksmithing and metallurgy swirled around both the hammer and anvil, with each swing infusing the powers of these laws into the metal ore that was slowly bending into shape.

Producing this scene, was a short man, with long white hair, hanging over a furrowed face. He had hazel-coloured pupils, with iridescent lights swirling around his sclera.

Multicoloured flames of cosmic energy raged around him maddeningly, somehow avoiding his long beard that was tied up in multiple sections, while a similarly coloured wing-like aura of universal laws erupted from his back.

From the passive aura and amount of cosmic energy emanating from this dwarven man’s body, he was at least a being at the Supreme Realm, and one could only wonder just how powerful the end result of this dwarven Supreme’s forging would be.

"Hmm?"

He suddenly stopped his hammering, his brows furrowing even more as he sensed subtle changes in the karmic forces around him.

"Authority of Fate."

Cosmic energy swirled and his Supreme Authority over the universal law of fate was activated, yet he was still unable to receive the answer he wished for.

"Authority of Destiny."

He added another authority to supplement it, and yet, he failed to get the answers for why he had sensed that change.

This made his mood turn sour as if the two Authorities of Fate and Destiny working together could not tell what was to happen, then things were sure to involve beings with a higher level of proficiency in these laws than he was.

As such, he decided to change his approach.

|Dictum of Providence. |

Cosmic energy swirled wildly around him as he activated this dictum, with the clouds of fate and destiny dispersing and making way for the manifestation of the power of providence.

|A Nexus Event? |

His brows remained furrowed despite finally having received the answer he was seeking, as the more he peered in with the power of providence, the worse things turned out to be.

|Or is it truly a bad omen? |

He dropped his hammer on the table beside him, stroking his beard as he decided to look at things from a different angle.

|I guess It appears this way for me since there is just that much of a gap in strength between myself and the entities involved.

Not one, but two Progenitors...though one appears to be far weaker than the other.

There is also an ancient and elder breed mixed up in this too, one from a race I’m aware of, and the other from one I’m not. |

The dwarf took a deep breath and turned towards his left, his gaze piercing through the folds of space and peering at the appearance of a large mountain range that resided in another continent of the planet he was on.

|Lastly, it involves those six existences who have been slumbering here for cosmos knows how long.|

After a few minutes of deliberating, the man made a decision and got to work immediately, deactivating his Dictum of Providence and switching it for the one in Blacksmithing as he got to work, attempting to create something that would reduce the chances of things turning out badly for him.
