Chapter 262: Morningstar’s Last Shine II
There was an Asura who had a different weapon in each arm, along with many other nonstandard beings that could only be described as cosmic horrors born from the deepest reaches of the abyss.
Even with all these beings attacking him at once, Lucifer still had a light-hearted smile on his face as he repelled their assaults using just law essences and his physical prowess.
Nevertheless, he could not take them too lightly as even the weakest being present was a Quasi-Supreme realm existence, so he soon had to begin using his more powerful cosmic magic spells and authorities.
’Cosmic Magic’ might sound grand and all, but it was basically just normal magic, except the energy used in casting was substituted with Cosmic energy as that was much more efficient when dealing with Cosmic Beings that had their souls protected by heaven knows how many barriers of Cosmic Energy.
But of course, Lucifer was a ’bastard’ who liked to overdo things, so after casting a random fire elemental spell that seared the limbs of some tentacle appendaged being, he slammed his palms together and broke out a different kind of ’Magic’.

His words were cut short as he had to teleport out of the area just in time for a great sword coated in cosmic energy-powered black flames to cut through the space where he was a millisecond ago.
|Don’t let him use any of his ’Five Magic’!|
The great sword wielder yelled out to his companions, his words followed by those of a female hermit who appeared behind Lucifer and exclaimed.

The eerie essence of the cosmic law pervaded the entire area, and the smile on Lucifer’s face vanished as he roused his cosmic energy to retaliate.

An explosion of untold magnitude wrecked and ruptured the space around them as the two opposing energies clashed against each other.

Multiple law-based skills powered by cosmic energy were sent flying towards Lucifer, leaving him no choice but to use authority of space and get the fuck outta that area.
The Devil King turned into a streak of red light that shot across the dark void, with his assailants trailing right after as they did not forget to toss out more attacks.
One of the women, who looked very much like a witch, waved the broom in her hands as she silently activated an authority.
The space in front of Lucifer shattered and dark red chains clad with an ominous aura shot out from the cracks in space.
Despite how fast he moved to get away, the chains still caught up to him and wrapped around his arms and legs, holding him in place.
In the next second, five of his assailants caught up to him and unleashed multiple skills and spells, each one holding enough power to turn the hell universe into space dust.
’Just because I can tank something, doesn’t mean I’d do it willingly.’
That was the thought that formulated in Lucifer’s head as he used the essence of the law of light and flames to create white flames that burned away the chains that bound him, before zapping out of the range of the attacks.
However, the woman who used those chains revealed a light grin that Lucifer missed, a second before the Devil King suddenly found himself back in the same spot that he had just tried to leave.

As an explosion with the force of five big bangs wrecked his body, more of Lucifer’s opponents caught up and used proliferation-type abilities to amplify the effects of the explosion, while some others used spatial abilities to keep the blasts contained within a specific radius.
However, when the energies powering the blasts finally died down, they were shocked to see the unscathed Lucifer, who was surrounded by a thin-looking barrier of golden-coloured energy.
The Devil King revealed a grin upon noticing their surprised expressions, bursting out into a peal of short laughter as he asked.

The surprised ones were shocked out of their stupor by his words while the others had already prepared and unleashed new waves of attacks towards the Devil King.
’That woman did something to me.’
Lucifer had those thoughts as he weaved his way through space, darting his eyes around to find that witch-like woman, but narrowing his eyes in annoyance when he noticed her figure had disappeared.
The next moment, he suddenly found himself back in the spot he was in when the chains first touched his body, with a dozen spears of dark light having ribbons of lightning swirling around them, shooting towards him right after.
"Well...I’ll be damned."
He spoke with his normal voice while coating his fists in the aura of a law and punching the spears of dark light, ignoring the tendrils of lightning that snaked across his body before turning around and grabbing the dwarf who used the authority of tenebrosity to sneak up to him and attack him.

With no context, the dwarf naturally should not have understood what Lucifer was talking about, but Lucifer was sure that the short-heighted man was not clueless.

Instead of an answer, the dwarf opened his mouth and screamed out, his voice being infused with a sound-based law ability that would have ruptured Lucifer’s eardrums and disoriented the devil.
Too bad that Lucifer had delved into the Law of sound when he was bored a few million years ago, and while it was not to the level of proficiency as the dwarf, it was enough to protect himself.
In the split second that followed, two sword-wielding elves appeared on Lucifer’s sides and swung down their lightning-coated blades in an attempt to sever the Devil King’s arms.
Sadly, their attacks were blocked as Lucifer released a pair of wings and blocked their strikes. Of course, said wings were coated with cosmic energy.
Lucifer then spun around a millisecond later, just in time for the spear that was about to stab into his back to hit the dwarf he was holding instead.
He then grabbed the spear tip that burst out of the dwarf’s chest and used it as a conduit to attack its wielder with a few poisonous and curse-related abilities.
Right after, his legs were grabbed by the appendages of a being that looked like it came right out of a horror movie, while two other appendages from similar beings wrapped around his arms and wings to hold him in place.
The Asura wielding multiple weapons took this as his cue as he unleashed a weapon technique with each of his weapons simultaneously, however, the Devil King’s attention was not on him at all.
