Chapter 261: Morningstar’s Last Shine I

"You Stupid!!"

**SMACK!

Alexia gave him one more whack on the head, after which she took another deep breath and spoke.

"Why the fuck are you giving me something dangerous so easily?!"

"Dangerous? It’s just five magic spells."

"Did you say ’just’?!

The first of these spells can change the location of a whole damn universe!! There’s no ’just’ in this!"

Alexia paused to catch her breath before questioning Lucifer in a calmer voice.

"You do know we’ve already made enough enemies from the Eternals’ and Aggressors’ sides alike, right?"

"...yeah?"

"Then do tell, why are you giving me something that’s going to irrevocably paint a huge target on my back?

The Watchers and Causality guardians are still after me because of that Candidate for Destruction I killed last two weeks, and you then want to give me a crystal with spells that would make the Eternal of Casualty come after me in person?

The dude already hates my guts ’cus of that stunt I pulled twenty thousand years ago, I’m not about to give him ’justification’ to take action against me."

"You know nothing’s gonna happen if they don’t find out you have it in the first place, right?"

"Obviously, but right now I still have that old man’s mark on me! If I leave here with that Crystal, he’d instantly know!"

"Oh...that...."

Alexia gave Lucifer a look that questioned if he forgot about it and the Devil King looked away awkwardly, basically confirming that he indeed forgot about her current predicament.

"D-don’t worry about it!

Only people of my bloodline can open it so even if they get the crystal, it’d be pointless. To be specific, only people who have an ’Annihilation’ can use it."

The blue-haired woman obviously saw through his attempt at changing the topic, but she sighed and decided to go along with it.

"You mean that ability of yours that uses the Aspect of Null’s power?"

"Yep.

It’s a unique bloodline ability that runs in my family."

Lucifer heaved a silent sigh of relief after replying, silently inching away from the still slightly pissed half-flugel.

"So your son’s gonna have it too?"

"Nahh... His would probably be a watered-down version of mine. Null’s too unique.

He may achieve something similar if he comprehends the law of entropy and gains aspects of it.

But who knows what he’d do in the ’future’?"

The man emphasized the word while sending her a sideways glance, one she noticed and did not hesitate to remark on.

"I’m not gonna use my powers to peek into your son’s future."

However, Lucifer only silently gave her puppy dog eyes. Even still, she was adamant about it so he spent the next twenty minutes trying to convince her.

Obviously, that part was skipped as there was no need for them to watch Lucifer begging for twenty minutes.

After Alexia finally acquiesced and used her powers, she showed Lucifer the scene she saw, which was one that happened quite recently.

It was the scene of Diablo wiping out the existence of the candidate of time who had indirectly caused Arthur’s near-death experience two years ago.

"It’s just a random future scene of him using his ’Annihilation’. You happy now?"

However, despite having got what he wanted, Lucifer was silent for over a minute before he sighed and nodded with a smile on his face.

"My son didn’t detect you?"

In response to Lucifer’s question, Alexia only snorted as she replied.

"Even if he’s your son, he’s no match for me when it comes to time manipulation."

Turning around, she continued.

"They don’t call me the ’Most Dangerous Candidate Of Time’ for no reason."

She then picked up a bottle of wine from the mini fridge in the room and poured some for herself and Lucifer, after which they chatted lightly before Alexia remembered she had something to do elsewhere.

"Be done with your little skit by the time I come back; we have to get that mark off me."

After saying her piece, the woman left the study and went somewhere else, leaving Lucifer alone in the room.

The smile on his face disappeared the moment the door closed behind her and Lucifer snapped his fingers before facing the camera and saying.

"If you’re watching this, then I’m probably dead by now."

The Devil King spoke of his impending death like he knew it was set in stone.

"Alexia didn’t realise it by the partial domain in that scene of the future, it was the Nine Thousand Circles.

That place can’t be my son’s domain until I, the current master, were to die."

He ran a hand through his silver hair and sighed exhaustedly, turning his gaze to the ceiling as he continued.

"How in tarnation are they gonna achieve that great feat of being able to ’kill’ me? A being on my level doesn’t exactly ’die’ easily, after all."

As If to answer the question of the man, the scene shifted from Lucifer’s study, to a dark space, with gigantic luminous spheroids of plasma floating around in the distance, lighting up the appearances of all those present.

It was Lucifer, still in the same outfit he was in when he made the previous video, however, he was surrounded by dozens of men and women of various races and breeds.

However, there was one thing in common with all of them, and it was the hostility they held towards Lucifer.

|It’s definitely not gonna be you guys. |

Lucifer muttered those words to himself, but since he spoke with his true voice, it was impossible for them to NOT hear him.

Then again, he had no choice but to use his true voice as they were in space, after all.

A space that was not within the boundary of a universe, nor within that of a multiverse.

Once again, the fact that dozens of beings gathered together just to take on Lucifer only served as a reminder of the vast power that the man possessed, a power that far outstripped other beings in his realm of existence.

The Devil King was unarmed; however, the majority of his assailants were adorned in battle armour and wielded various weapons in their hands, legs and other appendages.
