Chapter 263: Morningstar’s Last Shine III

Lucifer silently activated an aspectual authority of space and vanished from the spot, much to the shock of the cosmic horrors who restrained him as they had made sure to use multiple spatial and time-related authorities to keep him in place.
The Devil King reappeared a few light years away, in front of the spear wielder who had been forced to stab the sound using dwarf earlier, causing a look of shock to appear on both his face, and that of the witch-looking woman who was dispelling the curse Lucifer had placed.

With those words, he grabbed her arm right before he was forcefully returned back to his previous position, taking the woman along with him.
Naturally, she made attempts to wrestle her arm from Lucifer’s grip, but they all proved useless as the man’s arm moved at a speed she could barely perceive and pierced into the centre of her chest.

The woman screamed out like a banshee, both from the pain of having a hand piercing her chest and that of the flame authority that Lucifer unleashed inside her body.
As tears of blood dripped from the sides of her eyes, illusory red chains appeared on Lucifer’s arms and legs before shattering into shards of light.

The Devil King called out softly and a translucent barrier of golden light surrounded his body just in time for the slashes and cosmic magic of his opponents to hit and bounce off it without even cracking it slightly.
The blank space between him and the axe wielder behind him opened up and his body fell into it, reappearing a few miles away as he removed his hand from the witch’s body and placed it on the side of her face.
|I can’t have you using those chains of resentment on me again so I apologize, but you’re gonna have to be today’s first casualty. |
The woman tried to activate some of her abilities but the essence of extinction that silently seeped out of Lucifer’s palm and into her body was far faster than she was.

One of Lucifer’s many opponents screamed out a name, probably that of the witch woman but it did nothing to stop the Devil King from wrapping the law of extinctions essence around her soul and breaking down the barriers of cosmic energy that surrounded it.
By the time the person who screamed out the name got to Lucifer, it was already too late as all he met was a corpse that had already turned cold.

He screamed out Lucifer’s name in rage but the Devil King only glanced at him indifferently before summoning a random weapon from his expansive space and raising it to block the man’s sword.
|AUTHORITY OF SWORDS!!|
The essence of the law that embodied the bladed weapon filled the area as hundreds of thousands of blades loaded with cosmic energy swirled towards Lucifer.
From the other side, three giant humanoid golem constructs of fate essence charged at Lucifer, all wielding lances and shields, while many other mystic powers streaked across the void in an attempt to hit the Devil King.

Another Supreme tried to activate a Dictum, however, Lucifer was faster, deploying the abilities of seven authorities all at once, each of them churning through his cosmic energy reserves as he unleashed omnidirectional waves of power.
The giant golem constructs of fate were shredded to pieces, the blades created by the authority of swords were shattered, as well as the remaining few dozen cosmic magic attacks that came his way.
However, Lucifer’s eyes were narrowed in suspicion as he heard something that he was not supposed to hear at all.
’That one was just about to use a Dictum of Reality? I do not recall him having such a power last time we met.’
The Devil King knew just how difficult gaining a Dictum was, especially one that embodied a greater concept like Reality, so he found this being suddenly acquiring this dictum as suspicious.
|Authority of Time: Tem-!|
|Shut up and have a time storm. |
Lucifer spoke as he teleported behind one of these attackers and grabbed his neck, before forcing a blue orb of light down his throat.
The essence of time in that orb bloomed inside his body, generating a time storm that pulled a being from a different time period into that space.
What followed was a bloody scene as the Asura who had been in that exact spot a few minutes ago was pulled through time, back to where he was.
However, since the time storm orb was inside the mouth of another being, the Asura appeared from there, and the end result was the head of that being burst into pieces as it definitely was not large enough to accommodate the full body of an Asura.
The Asura himself, didn’t even have the chance to compute what had just happened as in the milliseconds that followed, Lucifer had activated two time and spatial-based authorities and used them on him.
First, he stopped the time of the Asura’s ’existence’ giving him the few more microseconds required to fully activate the second authority.
As such, when the Asura broke out of the time stop a few microseconds later, it was already too late as Lucifer had already induced six singularities on the Asura’s body with his authority of space and essence of the law of gravity.
The poor Asura did not even have the chance to scream as a suction effect was induced on his head, and the position of his multiple hearts due to the compression of surrounding spatial forces.
The matter that made up those parts of his physical body were absorbed and sent into six random star cores somewhere in the cosmos.
Naturally, the attack also ruptured his soul as Lucifer did not forget to infuse Cosmic energy into his authorities at that time.
Thus, by the time the second had elapsed, two more of Lucifer’s assailants had perished permanently.
