Chapter 247: Fourteen ’Days’ Later

Domain of Lucifer’s Vestige

Unknown Planet

Unknown Galaxy

Varona Realm

October 15th?

Year 717 of the 50th General Calendar.

"🎶 I can’t take the the cold, can’t take the box.

I woulda tried to run I guess I got no pox.

I’m rappin’ to the thumb,

And I’m gonna move your drum.

Yea, yaz, in a Cardiff state of mind. 🎶"

Young Progenitor Godslayer Arthur Vaughn sang along with the rap song that was playing through the headphones in his ear while he moved his hands in odd directions, twisting a weird purple elastic band at odd angles.

Or rather, the current expression would be to say that he ’attempted’ to twist this purple elastic band at odd angles but was failing woefully.

Even so, he kept trying without giving up, rousing all his magic power to aid him in this adventure.

Sitting at a table a few metres beside him, was a half-transparent humanoid figure, with silver hair and red eyes.

’This kid sure is talented.’

This humanoid figure, the vestige of Devil King Lucifer thought to himself as he stared at the boy who was casually twisting around an elastic band created with the essence of the universal law of space.

Within the past fourteen days, the young progenitor had seen breakthroughs in both his realm of existence and his law comprehensions.

First off, the number of laws under his belt had effectively tripled as Lucifer’s treasure had more than just a few law crystals lying around.

The boy had begun walking on the paths of comprehending the laws of Space, Gravity, Wind, Water, Fire, and Earth, as well as making suitable advancements in the laws of Time, Extinction and Destruction that he formerly had.

He had long surpassed the stage he was at before he cast the Third Magic, reaching a level of proficiency that some Legendary and Sovereign level existences would be hard-pressed to match up to.

And now, his ridiculous affinity for universal laws was showing itself once more as he casually made advancements within just days of acquiring the law of space.

On a side note, the influx of universal laws into his body enabled him to break the last barrier that prevented him from advancing, allowing him to reach the inferior stage of the Epic realm at the tender age of sixteen.

"🎶The head drops deep as does my soap.

I never skip, ’cause to skip is the brother-in-law of hope.

Beyond the walls of wood shavings, life is defined.

I think of trees when I’m in a Cardiff state of mind. 🎶"

Besides the strange song he was singing along to, he wasn’t doing anything much different from what he had done during the past two weeks.

Wake up, eat, comprehend laws, practice law manipulation, eat, sleep, repeat.

Right now, he was in the phase where he practices law manipulations, and the law he had chosen for today was the very volatile law of space.

Since he was already more advanced in using the law of time’s power, handling the law of space came easier to him, as evidenced by the fact that the elastic band in his hands was beginning to twist at odd angles and wasn’t as stiff as it was a few minutes ago.

And just as the young progenitor made a small success in his level of proficiency at manipulating space, his eyes widened in shock with him tossing off his headphones and turning to Lucifer’s vestige who hurriedly used illusions to hide his fading existence.

"You said that this space was an isolated space, right?!"

"...yes, it is."

"Then is it possible for the signals of a tracking device to escape this space."

"If the device is created and configured to have its signals pass through the rifts and bends in space-time, then yes."

"Fuck!

How long have I been here?"

"Fifteen days."

Hearing Lucifer’s words, Arthur’s expression turned strange for a moment as he looked down at the elastic band in his hands, destroying it with the law of destruction’s power before turning his gaze back to Lucifer.

"Can you check my body for some sort of tracking device?"

"What’s it supposed to look like."

"I don’t exactly know this.

My mother did put it into my body faster than I could realise she had even moved."

Lucifer chuckled lightly upon hearing the boy’s reply, standing up and walking over to him before placing a hand on his shoulder and running a full body scan using cosmic energy.

"Hmm?

There’s something inside you giving off signals at regular intervals. It’s pretty much melded into your bloodstream and is made of ether, however, the increasing concentration of destruction energy in your body is eating away at it given that it IS a foreign substance."

"And can these signals reach their intended destination?"

"...

...no."

"Well, I’ll be damned."

Arthur’s expression turned dark at Lucifer’s reply, with his gaze turning to the watch on his hand as she spoke.

"The academy watches couldn’t get my location, so why did I assume that mum’s tracker would be able to."

His small success in the universal law of space allowed him to figure out that something he had initially assumed was possible, was In fact impossible.

’Mum is probably having a panic attack right now.’

The young progenitor was aware of how his mother feared for his life more than he did ever since the auction incident where he returned to her half dead and with a good dosage of soul poisoning.

Which was why he had decided to behave himself and not pull off any crazy stunts that would make her scared, and always stayed inside the range of her detection.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned as the Varona realm gate he entered yeeted him to a place where he entered into the gate of an isolated dimensional space.

And he had been there for fifteen days.

"In other words, mum hasn’t known my location for fifteen days."

Arthur got up to his feet with traces of slight panic on his expression as he honestly could not imagine his mother’s current reaction.

"If it’s any consolation, time here moves twice as fast so it’s only been a bit over seven days to the outside world.

Of course, that is by this planet’s time."

"That’s not much of a consolation, you know?"

The boy sighed as he spoke, with the devil king’s vestige shrugging his shoulders while having a nonchalant expression on his face.

"I honestly fail to see why her not being aware of your whereabouts for a few days is a problem."

"Well... let’s just say that the last time that happened a few years ago; I ended up fighting against three inferior-stage epic realms while being an intermediate-stage grandmaster.

They were four of them, but I didn’t know about the fourth and that guy sneak attacked me with soul poison."

"...just what in the literal hell were you doing?"

Even the Devil King’s vestige was stunned upon hearing the boy’s words, facepalming right after as he brought up a solution.

"It is possible to let your tracker’s signal reach her for a few moments."

"Wait...what?!"

Lucifer condensed cosmic energy at the tip of his finger and poked the air right in front of him. Arthur visibly saw the space tremble with Lucifer’s finger moving downwards right after like he was drawing a line on a board.

However, in this case, said board was space itself.

"I must say this is quite the contraption that your mother has created, being able to send out pulses of energy over a distance spanning hundreds of millions of light years with little breaks and loss of signal integrity."
