Chapter 245: Training Spar V
While it may look like nothing more than a simple fistfight to the untrained eye, each one of them was actually imbuing each attack with an astronomical amount of destructive energy with each blow.
They were then strengthening their attacks with ambient cosmic energies, carefully manipulating the cosmic energy to not detonate the law of destruction’s essence in their punches.
At the point of impact, they used the essence of the law of gravity to augment gravity in a way that increased the weight of their fists to make their punches deal more damage.
The duo occasionally tossed in the essence of the law of time to accelerate their movements in order to increase the speed of their attacks or increase their reaction speed to dodge.
For defence, they both coated their bodies with a thin layer of cosmic energy, one that was separate from the one that covered their fists and enhanced their attacks.
They were simultaneously manipulating all these law energies at the same time while taking care to make sure each one was balanced with the others and did not accidentally distort the flow of the other energies.
This was even harder for Arthur as he had no comprehension in the law of gravity, making it more difficult for him to reign in the law’s energy, however, Lucifer’s vestige had the leeway to give him tips to reduce the energy cost while increasing his manipulation speed.
Each blow that managed to pass through their opponent’s defences challenged the limit of their bodies’ durability, and their ability to minimize the damage from each attack.
Arthur decided to end the exchange of fists, throwing in two consecutive horizontal kicks to the side of Lucifer’s head, instantly pulling his leg back the moment he saw Lucifer block them, while drawing a thin red line in the air where his foot passed.
It was then that Lucifer noticed that Arthur had already prepared a spell circle around him and used his feet to complete the circle.
’Destruction, Gravity and .... Extinction?’
He accurately identified the three laws in the circle and waved his hand to break them, however, Arthur just chuckled upon seeing this, something that made Lucifer narrow his eyes.
Before he could even ask his question, the spell circle glowed and a small black ball appeared above his head, distorting the air as it sucked in everything around it with destructive winds.
He casually threw up his fist and shattered the black ball, before looking around Arthur and laughing as he spoke.
"This brat, just when did you learn how to use the law of concealment?"
A wave of energy spread out from his body as he spoke, revealing an array of dozens of small black balls similar to the one he just destroyed surrounding him.
"Tsk..."
Arthur just clicked his tongue and wiped off the blood on his nose as he simultaneously detonated all the lack balls at once.
Multiple explosions rang out consecutively as Arthur just clenched his fist and pulled it backwards, before sending out a punch to the empty air in front of him consecutively.
He generated Shockwaves from the pressure of his fists before sending them flying in the direction of the explosions in the air.
The next moment he wrapped the essence of a law around his body as he took a step forward. By the time he took his second step, his body had flickered out of existence, with his life force and energy flow disappearing too.
Simultaneously, Lucifer released a burst of wind energy that cleared up the smoke and flames of the explosion, only to meet with multiple shockwave fists breaking past the small vacuum created by his burst of wind energy.
He casually decreased his altitude to avoid them, only to look at the ground and realise that Arthur’s figure wasn’t there.
’Concealment, again?’
He was about to sound out Arthur’s position when two hands suddenly grabbed the back of his head and pulled it backwards.
Arthur’s knee slammed into the back of Lucifer’s head, before spinning his body and delivering a kick that sent the vestige’s body crashing down on the ground.
He stretched out his right hand and called for his sword as the blade flew straight into his arm.
’Celestia, we’re doing that.’
[Okay!]
The cheerful voice rang out in reply as Arthur’s energies flared up to the limit.
He began rapidly condensing his divinity to the utmost limit, simultaneously doing the same to his anti-divinity, something that anyone who knew the true nature of these opposing energies would consider crazy.
And there just happened to be one near him who knew this.
"What the?! Are you crazy?!"
Although Lucifer didn’t know exactly how Arthur’s anti-divinity worked, he could feel it was on the opposing spectrum of the divinity Arthur was condensing, hence the reason for that question.
However, Arthur only laughed as he let his body fall to the ground. He then stabbed Celestia in the ground and called out softly.
"Extreme Nothingness: Seismic Surge."
The moment Arthur spoke, he released the condensed energies that were infused with the powers of time and destruction.
The ground quaked and then enormous waves of purple energy surged from the ground in all directions.
Seeing this, Lucifer’s Vestige actually felt ’threatened’ for the first time as the divinity and anti-divinity combo gave made his hairs stand on end and gave him goosebumps.
The two opposing energies that were forcefully condensed together exploded in the next moment, creating a giant purple mushroom cloud and releasing shockwaves that travelled across the entire room, destroying the ground and cracking the walls of the large room in its wake.
***BOOM! BOOOOOM!! BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!
The sound waves released by the continuous explosions were enough to burst the eardrums of any unfortunate master-level existence that happened to be in the area.
Luckily, the only other existence in the area was the vestige of a Devil King who was more than strong enough to resist such ’low-level’ sound waves.
Lucifer waved his hand to clear up the dust and smoke around him, as he looked at the giant purple cloud in the air and heaved a sigh of exasperation as he thought of Arthur’s attack.
’Is this a variation he developed? It sure is destructive but doing something like that would leave him we-!’
**SHHRRINGG!!
He could not complete his thoughts as he heard the sound of two blades rubbing against each other, seconds before a thin silver line of light cut through the explosions.
The silver light cut not only the explosion, but the shattered earth and everything in its way up until it reached Lucifer’s position.
The devil king’s vestige dodged hurriedly, not before seeing a few strands of his hair get cut and turned to nothing.
’A sword slash with the law of extinction?!’
