Chapter 243: Training Spar III
"HAA!"
He forced the vestige back with sheer strength before flapping his wings and shooting up into the sky, Lucifer trailing behind him as the two roused the surrounding cosmic energy to do their bidding.
"Stay down for a bit, will ya?"
Arthur spoke as he stretched out his left hand while channelling his divinity, before attempting to clench his fist tightly. At the same time, Lucifer felt his body’s weight increase exponentially, causing him to instantly realise what Arthur was doing.
’Using divinity with the law of gravity on a devil’s vestige?’
Lucifer let out a small chuckle as he flicked his fingers before speaking.
"I’m not gonna go down obediently though?"
The ambient cosmic energy trembled as Arthur’s fist was forced back open, causing the young progenitor to click his tongue in annoyance.
"Thought so.
Oh well, I’m already done."
"Huh?"
Before the vestige could understand what Arthur said, he felt the law of time’s aura around Arthur’s arm as the boy’s movements accelerated by nearly five times his usual speed.,
The next second, a huge amount of cosmic energy gathered around Arthur’s sword, going on to strengthen the destruction energy the boy had infused within the sword.
"Have at this."
With his words, a giant red laser, one filled with the essence of the law of destruction and strengthened by cosmic energy, dropped down from the air diagonally towards Lucifer.
****BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!
There was barely any delay between the time the laser was fired and the time it reached lucifer, as Arthur had simply accelerated the time of the attack.
Shockwaves spread out across the room, causing cracks to form on the walls, however, these cracks disappeared just as quickly as they appeared.
***SHINNGGG!!!!
The next second, the sound of two blades rubbing together was heard as a long silver line of light cut through the explosion of energy, parting the clouds of dust and smoke in two.
Arthur’s expression did not change as his gaze quickly wandered around, locking on a certain point in the smoke before he charged forward.
He spun his body as he moved in a spinning motion, slashing through the smoke as he passed, before creating a foothold in the air by compressing the wind around his feet to temporarily give it solid form.
He kicked off the foothold and slashed again with a curved strike, before releasing an uppercut as he leapt into the air once more.
The young progenitor then used the law of gravity on himself and increased his falling speed, dropping to the ground twice as fast as he slashed down with an overhead strike, his sword infused with the energy of the law of extinction and surrounded by cosmic energy.
**BOOOMMM!!!!
A large explosion rang out, shaking the entire room once more, however, despite the power behind the attack, Arthur was frowning as he knew that his series of attacks, had done very little damage to his target.
"I did say I was going to start counter attacking in earnest, didn’t I?"
He heard a voice beside his ear, a second before a punch to his back sent him flying back to the ground.
The force behind it was so much that the young hero was temporarily disoriented, and by the time he regained his senses, it was too late to use the law of gravity’s power.
As he had not comprehended the law, he expended twice the normal amount of energy to use its power and it was naturally harder for him to perform complex things with it, which was why he had stuck to only just increasing and decreasing gravity on his body.
His body slammed into the ground with enough force to crater the ground around him, mere seconds before his opponent suddenly appeared beside him and kicked forward.
Arthur instinctively knew that taking that kick would be bad, however, he was not in a potion to conjure proper defences, so he chose to improvise, moving his sword arm with accelerated movements to stab the knee of the vestige.
Perhaps because he was sub-cosmic, the surrounding ambient energy was drawn towards his sword as he attacked, causing the vestige to redirect the kick towards his sword and kick the blade out of his hand.
However, that gave Arthur time to move out as the effect of gravity on his body suddenly disappeared and he shot into the air.
"Hup."
Lucifer looked up to find Arthur, however, he was shocked when he realised that just as fast as the boy and shot into the air, he had instantly reversed the gravity effect on himself and shot back down.
As such, the moment he looked up, he was met with a fist full of destructive energy that was enough to snap the neck of his physical body.
Arthur instantly landed his feet on the ground and spun his body, delivering an uppercut to the twisted head of the vestige in front of him.
As Lucifer’s body was launched into the air, Arthur tried to chain another attack, however, the boy’s eyes widened as the vestige’s body disappeared and reappeared beside him.
"You seem to be treating me like some sort of punching bag."
His voice rang out as he sent a punch straight to Arthur’s head, forcing the boy to twist his head to the side as instantly, before clenching his fist and retaliating.
*BAM!
His punch was filled with the essence of the law of destruction, and surrounded by the ambient cosmic energies that were pulled in naturally.
Arthur took a step back and immediately sent out a kick with his right leg, which was blocked by Lucifer’s right arm, a second before the latter threw a straight jab to the imbalanced boy with his left.
However, there was no way Arthur would get caught by a simple attack, instantly pulling his leg back and throwing out his left fist.
The two fists collided with a loud boom, sending out shockwaves in the surroundings, but y the time the shockwaves had managed to spread out, the duo had already exchanged three more blows.
Lucifer rapidly spun his body around on a central point, unleashing a three-step kick towards Arthur. His first and second kicks hit the left side of Arthur’s head, when coupled with the law energies infused within those kicks, it was a miracle Arthur was still standing.
He then rapidly spun once more to generate more momentum and kicked the side of Arthur’s head in the opposite direction, aiming to finish him off.
