Chapter 242: Training Spar II
"Extreme Nothingness."
The essence of the laws of time and destruction coalesced around his sword and he fired them out as a hyper beam towards the vestige’s body.
This was the same mini version of his strongest attack that Arthur had used to kill one of the legendary realm celestials who had attacked Arthur in the auction close to a year ago.
While it had instantly needed the life of a legendary realm existence, it did nothing to Lucifer’s vestige who calmly coated his arm with destruction essence and offset the aura of destruction within Arthur’s sword.
There was still the aura of time but the vestige’s natural resistance was enough to deal with that little bit of energy.
Arthur sighed as he let go of Celestia and flipped in the air. He pressed his palms together and opened them up almost immediately.
In between them, nearly a dozen three-ringed magic circles of different attributes manifested and Arthur just silently stretched out his hands towards Lucifer.
"Here, have this.
And let me take my sword back."
The magic circles all glowed simultaneously before an explosion that shook the entire room rang out.
**KAAABOOOOOMMM!!!!
The entire ground shook and the air trembled as a cloud of smoke and flames rose upwards. From within this cloud, Arthur’s sword flew out and into his hands, before he spread his wings and dashed forward.
Mid-flight, he waved his arms and generated multiple spears of destruction energy and launched them towards the place where he sensed Lucifer’s presence.
However, the moment the energy spheres shot forward, he suddenly felt the same presence from in front of him at his back.
Chills ran down the young progenitor’s spine as he realised that he had been fooled by the vestige, within those short moments, he racked his brain trying to think of countermeasures.
Lucifer, on the other hand, calmly stretched out his hand to grab Arthur’s wing, however, the boy retracted them and turned around, unleashing a slash of destruction energy with his sword, before clenching his fist and sending out a punch filled with the energy of the law of extinction.
**BAMM!!
Lucifer caught the punch in his palm but Arthur pulled back his fist before the devil king’s vestige could clamp his fingers around it and sent forward another punch.
This was also blocked but the time it took for this was enough for Arthur to infuse enough Aura into his sword.
As for what he did with the aura? He just slammed it into Lucifer’s side and let the uncontrolled aura rage forth.
He then dropped down to the ground and crouched before kicking off the ground and into the air again, with his sword held to the side.
The moment he arrived at where Lucifer’s vestige was, he released a singular destructive aura-coated slash, aiming to decapitate him.
"Whoa, chill."
Lucifer spoke up as he calmly tilted his neck backward at an impossible angle while buckling his knees a bit, allowing Arthur’s sword to go just a few centimetres above his throat.
*CRACK!
His neck then snapped back into position as he dispersed the storm of aura Arthur left for him to deal with earlier and moved his hand to attack Arthur once more.
However, the young progenitor was saved by the force of gravity, something whose effects on him had suddenly tripled.
With his speed of descent, it looked like he was just going to slam into the ground, however, the gravity’s effects on him suddenly reversed, causing a temporal state of negative gravity on his body.
The result sent the young progenitor’s body flinging back into the air, slightly surprising the vestige who didn’t expect Arthur’s gravity control to be this good.
’His timing is impeccable, any later and he would have broken more than just his legs.’
Something that needed to be taken note of was the fact that Lucifer was currently hovering at least a hundred metres in the air.
And that Arthur had tripled the effect of gravity on his body when falling from such a distance, before suddenly reversing the effect and sending his body back into the air.
As he shot into the air, Arthur vertically spun his body forward while releasing a flowing destruction energy-based attack in a circular motion.
’Hmm...?’
Lucifer rose an eyebrow in surprise as he recognized the technique Arthur just used, instantly generating a sword of pure energy as he spun towards Arthur while releasing a flowing cosmic energy-based attack in a circular motion.
The only difference was that while Arthur moved vertically, he moved horizontally.
**BOOOOM!!!
The collision of the two energy-based attacks resulted in a loud explosion that released omnidirectional shockwaves, sending Arthur flying into the ground while pushing Lucifer’s vestige back for a few metres.
However, right before Arthur’s body slammed on the floor, the boy messed with his gravity again, throwing himself back into the air with the same momentum as he unleashed another technique.
He twisted his upper and lower body fiercely, creating a whirlpool of energy that slicked through the air, before meeting opposition when a similar whirlpool of energy collided with it.
Arthur then spread out his wings and flapped them fiercely, creating a gust of wind that ruffled Lucifer’s clothes.
The next moment, the boy flicked his fingers and silently generated a three-ringed wind magic circle, taking advantage of the gust of wind he just generated and generating a vacuum felid that pulled everything in the area toward it.
As the closest ’thing’ in the area was the vestige, his body was naturally pulled towards the vacuum, however, a quick glance at the greenish blades of wind that were waiting for him on the other side made him give up the decision to tank it with his body.
’That might actually shred my clothes.’
The reason for that thought, was that he had sensed tiny bits of the law of wind inside the vacuum field.
His gaze turned to Arthur who wasn’t even the least bit tired after using multiple laws, one of which he had zero comprehension in.
’Well, at least he’s got stamina.’
Lucifer’s vestige turned towards Arthur and spoke with a serious tone.
"I’m going to begin counterattacking in earnest now. Worry not, I’d lower my power to your level."
The moment he said that, his body flickered out of existence as he moved so fast it seemed like a blur.
Arthur, however, caught his movements with at the corner of his eyes and rose Celestia to block.
The next moment, the ambient cosmic energies around him began thrumming as Arthur truly began going all out.
