Chapter 238: Crazy Time Limit

"And how does she expect me to achieve such a feat?"

Arthur asked with raised eyebrows as he gazed at the vestige in front of him with eyes full of scepticism,

"Through the power of your ’Annihilation’ that is similar to mine."

"My what now?!"

"Annihilation.

I told you that I had inputted an idea into your head as you had tried to activate your dormant antihalation via the extreme nothingness technique.

The reason I could do that was because both our annihilations were similar, in fact, I feel they are the exact same thing.

And yours has more potential than mine, or rather, my original’s did."

Lucifer’s vestige walked towards Arthur and placed his hand on the young boy’s shoulder as cosmic energy wrapped around the two of them.

They were transported over to a large hall more than five times the size of a football stadium. Arthur looked around with his glowing left blue eye and saw the essence of the law of space in the hall, making him realise that the hall was made to be larger than it actually was via spatial expansion.

"Cool. What’s this for?"

"Training."

"Huh?"

"To put it bluntly, you are not qualified to inherit the things my original left behind, the law crystals, the information banks, and especially his weapon and the piece of his annihilation.

So, I’m going to whip you into shape."

Arthur decided to ignore the words of the vestige saying Lucifer left behind a piece of his annihilation as he was sure he would not understand even if it was explained to him.

The gaze of the vestige in front of him became cold, making Arthur reflexively jump backwards to take a distance away from the vestige while summoning Celestia and rousing his energies.

"Good, your danger senses are up to par. Now, to bring the rest of you to that level."

The former devil king spoke as he flicked his fingers and summoned a plain dull blade in his palm. HE locked gazes with the young progenitor as he spoke.

"En Garde."

**BOOOMMMM!!!!

An explosion rang out in the middle of the training hall as Arthur’s body was sent flying into the walls of the hall.

**BAMM!

His body slammed into the walls with enough force to crack the reinforced concrete wall, the young progenitor coughing out silver blood as he felt all his bones were broken.

Before he could even wrap his head around the pain, his body was engulfed in a green light that soothed his pain and healed all his wounds, internal and external.

"Silver blood?

You remind me of the variants of the angel race my original met a few thousand years before his passing.

Though I believe the reason for your silver blood is none other than the fact that you are a progenitor who is the son of a god.

And a pure-blooded type at that, one who bleeds golden blood."

Lucifer’s vestige remarked as he watched Arthur pick himself up and take a stance. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"Still, it’s weird that the son of two titans turned out to be a god. It makes no sense, they are of two different races.

How can a pureblood titan give birth to a pure-blood god?"

"How should I know? Go ask the guy yourself."

"I would if I could."

The vestige replied to Arthur as he kicked off the ground, dashing towards the young progenitor and slashing at him with his dull blade.

*CLANG!

Artur reacted to the slash and rose Celestia to defend, he then dropped to the ground and sent a spin kick to Lucifer’s legs, attempting to knock him off his feet.

The vestige calmly jumped up to dodge his kick, raising his leg mid-air and letting gravity bring him back to the ground in an attempt to drop an axe kick on the young progenitor’s head.

"Hup!"

Arthur rolled to the side to dodge the axe kick that cracked the concrete floor before getting to his feet and swinging his sword wildly, sending multiple aura slashes to Lucifer.

"You see, there is something I wish to inform you of."

Lucifer’s vestige spoke as he calmly dodged the aura slashes before dashing towards Arthur and promptly disarming him faster than he could react.

"Unlike what most would expect, my original didn’t have much in the way of sword skills. In fact, the only reason he was even that good at using a sword was because of his comprehension in the law of swords.

There were many sword geniuses out there that could overwhelm him when it came to swordplay alone.

They’d lose out in any other thing though."

Arthur’s eyes widened at this revelation, temporarily forgetting that he was in a spar with his great grandfather’s vestige.

"Honestly, that is the case for a lot of people, very few stick to the way of the sword. Most just carry swords for the sake of carrying swords, while others only use them for basic attacks.

It’s not just with swords, spears, claymores, bows, and many other weapons. At a certain level of power, you would not really need them as they just become symbolic trinkets. Since you can just overwhelm your opponents without them."

He stabbed his sword into the ground and looked at Arthur’s blade before continuing.

"Most people only use their weapons to direct their attacks, more like gestures for activating attacks.

That is the reality of things at certain levels of power. The level of skills would matter but that’s only when dealing with low numbers of enemies in the dozens or so.

Your actual weapon skills and in-depth understanding of the weapon only matter when using anti-unit abilities or facing opponents on the same level as you.

But when it comes to Anti-fortress, anti-army, and anti-world level abilities, no one really gives a shit how skilled you are.

After all, most of your attacks would either be energy-based, attacks with authorities, or powers of laws.

Nevertheless, it doesn’t mean you should not learn to use weapons properly as in an event where you meet an opponent on the exact same level, your proficiency in weapon wielding may be what decides your fate.

Since you use a sword, I would give you a law crystal with the basic law of swords, I’d also give you law crystals for the basic elemental laws, and the laws of light, death and darkness.

As you have cast the ’Third Magic’ already, you should be able to comprehend at least 5% of these laws before you leave here, young progenitor.

Oh, you have one month for this."
