Chapter 237: Avatar’s Descent
||Morningstar. ||
The voice was calm and collected, but the amount of energy imbued into that one word was far more than Lucifer could ever do even when speaking with his true voice.
Lucifer frowned as the being’s head faced in his direction, the gaze he was feeling remaining present as the mouth spoke out one more time.
||Do Not Interfere. ||
The head then turned in Alexia’s direction as the mouth began speaking.
||Alexandria Vladicur.
For the crime of endangering exactly 97 secondary worlds in this secondary plane’s star system cluster, attempting to alter the fates of countless existences while not having sufficient qualifications or justification, attempting to forcefully change the futures of quintillions of existences, and overstepping your bounds in an attempt to infringe upon a concept.
You shall have your existence level reduced by two whole realms and your authorities above the mid-rank stripped from you.
You shall also...You shall also...
**BZZTTTT!!!!
Your Punishments shall be meted out instantly. ||
The humanoid acted like there was some sort of error towards the end of its speech but it shook its head and continued as if nothing happened.
The moment it was done speaking, its right hand rose up in the air, stretching towards Alexia as cosmic energy began condensing in its open palm.
|And who are you to dish out such punishments?!|
There was no way Lucifer was going to sit back and watch all this happen so he naturally attempted to interfere.
He grabbed the hand of the humanoid and faced it towards the ground, his energy flaring up as he got ready for a battle.
However, the next words of the humanoid instantly killed all his motivation to battle.
||Autonomous Avatar of the one Ranked Seventh Among the beings who stand atop all existences, the one who governs over the Concept of Causality and Laws.
The one who bears the title of ’Governor of Causality’.
I am the avatar of the Eternal of Causality, here to execute the commands I was given. ||
Both Lucifer and Alexia had their blood run cold upon hearing the featureless humanoid’s reply.
Lucifer’s eyes darkened as he thought of all the things Alexia did.
Her original aura burst was indeed enough to endanger all the worlds in this cluster of star systems as they were worlds that could barely hold up to legendary realm existences.
She indeed attempted to alter the fates of countless existences while not possessing the sufficient qualifications (achieving cosmic superiority) and justifications by attempting to alter their futures.
She also indeed infringed upon a concept unknowingly as her power was something that was far too strong for what she wished to use it for.
However, none of these required the attention of the ’Governor of Causality’. It wasn’t like she was the first to attempt such and there were these that had done worse and Lucifer had personally witnessed people do more than she had.
His thoughts all instantly arrived at a conclusion, something else happened that caused the ’Governor of causality’ to take notice of Alexia, something the avatar did not speak of and something Lucifer did not know of.
Even so, he still wanted to prevent Alexia from losing the law comprehensions that she had spent thousands of years trying to acquire but a hand grabbed his arm before he could move.
He turned around and saw Alexia who was holding his hand while shaking her head. A wry smile formed on her face as she spoke.
"Although it was more than I bargained for, it does not change the fact that I got what I wanted.
So, I accept the punishments."
The moment she voiced out her acceptance, the Avatar’s hands glowed and the space behind her cracked open to reveal golden chains that coiled around her torso.
"This...Looks like it’s gonna hurt a bit."
◇ ◇ ◇
The memories being played on the filmstrip stopped there as Arthur heaved a sigh of exasperation.
"To be honest, I’m not gonna lie, I have no idea how or why ninety percent of the things I just saw happened."
"Hahahahahah!!!!"
Lucifer’s vestige beside Arthur who was tweaking with a necklace in his hand let out a hearty laugh upon hearing the young progenitors’ words.
Flicking his fingers, he sent a stream of cosmic energy into the necklace and tossed it to Arthur.
The boy caught it and studied it before nodding in satisfaction.
It was a simple chain necklace that had a pendant consisting of a green star-shaped gem not more than an inch in length and width hanging on it.
It was the same colour as the eyes of a particular person Arthur had known ever since he was a kid.
’Well, technically, I am still a kid.’
He chuckled to himself as he tapped the identical chain necklace on his neck but with a blue pendant instead.
"So, you’re saying with this, it is possible to know her vital status and her general direction."
"Yes, it’s a relic-grade treasure, you know?"
"Sadly, I don’t know how rare or how powerful ’Relic Grade’ is."
Arthur remarked as he tossed the necklace into his space ring, before standing up and asking the Vestige.
"Back to Alexia, from what just happened, I could tell that she most likely wants to use me to kill her father, right?"
"Wrong."
"Huh?"
Arthur let out a voice of surprise as Lucifer’s vestige refuted his guess. The former devil king stood up and rewound the memories to the part where Lucifer stated a method to remove the curse
’I could also cut out the curse that has latched onto her soul but that is too risky.’
"That; is what she wants you to do.
Alexia most likely wants you to cut out the part of her soul that the curse has latched onto, it was something she suggested to my original not long before he perished, making him unable to help her with it."
"And how does she expect me to achieve such a feat?"
Arthur asked with raised eyebrows as he gazed at the vestige in front of him with eyes full of scepticism,
"Through the power of your ’Annihilation’ that is similar to mine."
