Chapter 235: Ruler of Time

|The Ruler of Time Commands you.

Be Still|

**THRUMM!!!

There was a reason why Alexia was coveted by the watchers of the candidate selection.

It was very simple.

Alexia’s control over the power of time was far higher than that of beings who possessed Aspects of time.

If she was to become a candidate, they were sure she would be one of the most powerful to ever exist.

The reason for her high level of control over time was because of her unique skill.

Ruler of Time.

It was the reason that Alexia comprehended the basic law of time, just a few days after she became a transcendent, instantly achieving an authority in it and ascending to demigod status shortly after.

Even for Arthur who had affinities for all elements and had made significant progress in comprehending the law due to his nature as a progenitor, his talent for time manipulation could not compare to Alexia’s.

It was also precisely because of this, that Alexia could manage to achieve the feat of stopping the great Lucifer Morningstar in time.

Something, that no candidate of time was capable of doing.

She spread out her five pairs of glistening white wings and took to the skies the millisecond after she did this, knowing more than anyone else, that she could not keep Lucifer stopped for long.

**CCRACKK!!

|Alexia!!!!|

It didn’t take more than three seconds, not enough time for Alexia to finish casting the teleportation magic required to get her out of this location.

"No Alexia, you are clearly not in your right mind now!

Calm down and think this through!"

Lucifer’s voice filled with rage rang out as he shouted toward Alexia. However, she only shook her head with a look of despair on her face.

The calm facade she had been keeping up broke to pieces as she screamed with all her might.

"NO!!

This is the only way!!

This is the only way I can escape this damn curse!!!"

She screamed back as tears threatened to spill out of her eyes. Merely remembering what happened earlier that day brought her to tears once again.

Seeing this, Lucifer felt his anger at her dissipate slightly. Alexia was like an adoptive daughter to him, one he cared about deeply, seeing her in tears brought pain to his heart.

"You know what, I’m gonna go kill him!"

He decided to direct his rage at the source of all this mess, Alexia’s father, Roseborn Vladi XIV. Space bent to his will and he was about to teleport, however, he stopped halfway due to Alexia’s next words.

"YOU CAN’T!!

THE DAMN BASTARD WOULD JUST REINCARNATE AGAIN LIKE HE DID AT THE END OF HIS PAST THIRTEEN LIVES!!!!"

As she shouted, the ambient energies rampaged as if in response to her emotional state. She took advantage of his temporary pause to wrap her body in cosmic energy and teleport out of the area.

Just before her entire body disappeared, she activated her authority over space and created a small void bomb to delay lucifer.

***KABOOOOOMMM!

The void bomb exploded, turning the planet they were on to space dust, but Lucifer was unscathed. His eyes flashed as he read the traces of her teleportation and figured out the destination.

Immediately following them, he arrived at where Alexia was to stop her from making any crazy decisions but it was already far too late.

He was met with the figure of Alexia floating in the air with the ambient energies around her rampaging and destroying the surroundings.

His mind didn’t even care to think about the fact that this was a lower-level or secondary world where the effects of causality were stronger.

Strands of cosmic energy could be seen wrapped around each of Alexia’s arms as she spread out her full five pairs of pure white wings before opening her mouth.

|Alexia, DO-! |

|Ruler of Time|

Lucifer tried to stop her to no avail.

The moment she spoke, the strands of cosmic energy wrapped around her arms multiplied at a frightening speed.

A multi-coloured spherical barrier formed around her and prevented Lucifer from getting close to her.

Inside the barrier, Alexia was seeing a myriad of things.

It was a dark blue space with an uncountable number of small bubbles floating around. In each bubble was a group of three threads.

Hundreds of Quintillions of threads scattered around this blue space in groups of three.

Each thread represented something;

A Past, A Present and A Future.

She scanned through the futures and picked the one future that was represented by the thickest thread she could see.

It then linked her to another set of threads, ones different from the few hundreds of quintillions she saw earlier but not any less in quantity.

At this point, she willed her authority of time to work in tandem with her ruler of time ability and this led her to a different darker space.

One with relatively fewer threads but each one was as thick as hundreds of groups from the previous space.

She picked one of the thickest threads representing the future in this group and sent her consciousness into it.

While this looked like it took a long time, the time in these spaces was stopped as such from the moment she entered till the moment she sent her consciousness into the other thread, barely a nanosecond had passed in reality.

However, the consequences of delving into that future were not ones that could be borne by an emotionally unstable Alexia.

--Who. Dares? —

Hearing that eerie voice in her head, Alexia screamed in pain as the amount of energy infused into those words was enough to nearly collapse her mentality.

The other effects on her physical body that the voice caused, were another case entirely.

A gaze that made her soul tremble fell on her and she could not move, neither her real body nor the mental body that she created when she delved into that future.

--Foolish. Girl. Do. You. Know. Whose. Domain. You. Are. Treading. On? —

Alexia held her head as she screamed in pain, however, there was no sound as the existence who held that voice had not permitted any sounds besides their voice to exist in that space.

--You. Make. A. Futile. Attempt. To. Change. That. Which. Should. Not. Be. Changed. –

The speaker of the voice continued speaking even though Alexia’s vision had long since gone black.

They were sure that although her physical body was unconscious, her soul was not.

--I. Would. Have. Terminated. Your. Existence. The. Moment. You. Dared. To. Touch. My. Thread. But. Since. You. Are. Special. To. Him. I. Shall. Spare. You.—

--Know. In. Your. Heart. That. The. Only. Reason. You. Are. Surviving. Is. Because. Of Him.—

--Because. Of. Balance.--
