Chapter 233: The Last Condition
Breaking through from one realm to another, was simple.
All one had to do was to utilize energy, either theirs or energy gotten from an external energy core to strengthen their bodies to be able to hold the amount of energy required for the next realm of existence.
Once they reached the limit of what they could absorb, they were to stop absorbing and begin circulating the energy currently in their bodies.
If they were not at their maximum capacity, then they could absorb more, but if they were, it was advisable to stop to prevent the situation of one imploding due to excess energy.
After circulating their energy to the limit, they were to utilize said energy to push through and forcefully break through the upper limit of their energy reserves, the upper limit of what their bodies could hold, and elevate said limit to a higher level.
This increased the amount of energy they could hold in their bodies exponentially, strengthened their bodies even more, and also increased their soul strength to match their new realm.
It was a simple process that could result in the death of the person involved if one mistake was made.
Of course, this was not always the process that was followed as one could not always have the peace of mind to ascend normally so sometimes it was possible to ascend mid-fight or in other perilous situations.
Nevertheless, Alexia was privileged to be in a more comfortable situation, as such, she took her time to leisurely absorb as much energy as she needed to before initiating the breakthrough process.

Feeling the amount of energy that was being emitted from Alexia’s body, enough to make the sky rumble, made a smile form on Lucifer’s face as he thought about the huge power boost Alexia was about to get.
However, the smile turned to a frown the instant later as Lucifer’s senses screamed at him to check Alexia’s ’Fate’ and ’Destiny’, something he did in the same instant.
The usual golden cloud of fortune that Alexia usually saw hanging above her head had changed into a pitch-black colour, signifying a Fate worse than death and a destiny that could only be described as disastrous.
Before Lucifer could even say anything, he saw Alexia hurriedly drop the energy core she was absorbing, even going as far as to forcefully interrupt the energy flow in her body and fry her energy circuits to prevent her energy flow from resuming.
"ARGHH!!!"

She screamed out in pain as she spat out black blood, her eyes turning bloodshot and her breaths becoming heavy in the next moment.
"Alexia!"
Lucifer who had not expected such an action from her hurriedly moved to her aid but stopped in his tracks when he noticed traces of gold flash across the pitch-black cloud of fortune above her head.
"...what?"
Lucifer asked aloud as he realized that Alexia had indeed injured herself for a reason, one he was about to ask her when she suddenly screamed out in rage.

Alexia’s voice boomed across the entire planet they were on, the cosmic energy imbued with it, carrying her voice through the void of space and into the next one as the beings on it felt their souls quake due to the rage in her voice.

The sky rumbled and lightning dropped to the ground as if in response to her anger, with thousands of beings on the same planet as she was, were rapidly experiencing shifts in time as some ageing decades in an instant with others regressing.
A few even found themselves yeeted a few days into the future or a few years into the past as the law of time on that planet went haywire.
Alexia clenched her fist with so much force that her nails drew blood but she paid it no mind as she slammed her fist into the ground, the force shattering the mountain she was on and turning it into dust.

Her hand rose up again, slamming into the ground and shattering the earth underneath her feet as the entire continent cracked in two starting from the point where her hand hit the ground.
Lucifer hurriedly grabbed her hand to stop her from venting her rage at this innocent planet, before warping her over to another realm where the ambient energy concentration was much higher and the celestial bodies were much sturdier.
And like so, Alexia spent the next few minutes hitting things and trashing around, screaming in rage until she finally dropped to her knees and broke down crying.
Lucifer moved to console her and was able to find out the reason for her sudden rage, as well as the reason why her fate became grim in an instant.
Apparently, she had discovered a curse cast with the power of the law of reincarnation, one strong enough that Alexia found herself incapable of removing.
Lucifer could also not help, as this curse had been on Alexia long enough for the true essence of the curse to meld into her soul and mix with it.
The curse was a simple curse of puppetry, one that had multiple requirements that Alexia had unknowingly fulfilled over the years.
Using the power of time, Alexia discovered this curse had been on her for exactly nineteen thousand, nine hundred and ninety-eight years.
This meant that the curse had been placed on her since she was just two years old.
Its effect was simple, Alexia would lose all control of her body and part of her soul upon reaching the monarch realm and control would be transferred to the caster of the curse.
In this case, the caster was her father, Roseborn Vladi XIV.
Of the curse’s activation requirements, one of them was for her to have comprehended the law of Reincarnation to the mid-rank, something she had naturally done over the years in an attempt to know how to prevent her father’s reincarnations.
There were some others but the last and final requirement she had yet to fulfil was the one she had unknowingly almost fulfilled a few moments ago.
And that was to become a Monarch realm Existence.
