Chapter 228: Devil King Vs Supreme Ruler, Final Calamity
Roseborn spoke casually as he saw the spear that he threw in Lucifer’s direction reach the devil king faster than the latter could conjure up proper defences.
***WHIRRR!!!

Ambient energies around them began to tremble wildly as the spear tore through the folds of space and hit Lucifer before exploding with enough force that multiple quasars and hypernovae would be hard-pressed to surpass.
The first thing that happened was a flash.
There was a light that quite literally blinded and burned the entire field of vision, painting the environment white.
Any normal person who looked at it would be blinded without exception.
However, any planet that could host said normal person in the area had been long turned into ash by the heat of the flames.
The collision of the spear with Lucifer’s hastily made barrier instantly resulted in an explosion that released gamma-ray bursts spread out in every direction towards all the celestial bodies within the galaxy at speeds faster than light.
Stars exploded, planets imploded, and moons went out of orbit and collided with other celestial bodies.
Everything went haywire as the galaxy they were in began crumbling from within.
Nevertheless, the one responsible for the death of this galaxy, was already well on his way out of it as he crossed the chaotic void of the universe dodging the red beams of light that threatened to turn his body to ash.
Even if Lucifer was not able to conjure any proper defences, the body of a cosmic being was not one that would be harmed by the destruction of a single galaxy, nor would he be injured just because the attack contained ’holy’ power.
In fact, he used his control over the ’Seven Deadly Sins’ Gluttony’, to absorb the energy from the explosion, amplify it with the law of proliferation, and then add a bit of destruction energy into it before firing it off as beams of destructive light that Roseborn judged it would be best not to get hit by.
Even so, the old flugel supreme ruler did not dodge for long, he suddenly stopped and activated another authority.

Roseborn screamed out with his true voice, the cosmic energy he imbued into it carrying his voice across the chaotic void as Lucifer reflexively covered his ears just to be safe.
The sound waves released were amplified by the law of music’s authority.

Lucifer’s vision momentarily became black and white, everything glitched as the space around Lucifer ruptured with each sound wave.
The devil king shook his head and drew on the energy from the rupturing space caused by Roseborn’s attacks to subtly power another one of his authorities.

Following his mutter, the points at which space ruptured increased in number, from ten to twenty, to thirty. At forty, Roseborn realized that his requiem of rage was definitely not the reason for the rupturing space.
’This is the law of space!’
The old flugel supreme ruler instantly attempted to coat his body with cosmic energy but Lucifer’s voice rang out through the void of space.

Hearing that question, Roseborn felt cold sweat drip down his back.
Sub cosmic beings could utilize ambient cosmic energy however they wished, sadly, they could not absorb this cosmic energy into their bodies.
This meant that if they were in a place with low concentrations of cosmic energy, then their ability to use it would be greatly limited.
One of the reasons why Roseborn destroyed that galaxy, was because there was more cosmic energy in the chaotic void of the universe than there was inside galaxies.
It was also the reason that he did not attempt to re-enter any galaxies after destroying that one and remained in the chaotic void.
Unfortunately for him, Lucifer was a cosmic being.
In addition to being able to use ambient cosmic energy, he was capable of generating cosmic energy internally with his energy cores.
The concentration of ambient cosmic energy in the area mattered little to him, in addition to that, he could do one other thing that could be considered a sub-cosmic being’s weakness when facing a genuine cosmic being.
And that was dominating the ambient cosmic energy.
Utilizing his authority as a cosmic being, Lucifer put the ambient cosmic energy within a radius of over 1000 light-years under his control.
In other words, Roseborn would be unable to use the surrounding cosmic energy to activate any of his authorities or boost his magic spells.
’Tsk...’
Roseborn clicked his tongue internally as he slammed his hands together. He then spread them wide open once more as intricate magic circles of many colours formed between his two palms.
The spell circles then increased in size as he poured loads of magic power into them, all these happened within a span of a few milliseconds.
He had to complete the complex magic he was casting before Lucifer activated whatever authority he wanted.
Sadly, the devil king had already seen through his plans and moved to thwart them.

Hearing the dreaded words from the mouth of Lucifer made beads of sweat drop down Roseborn’s forehead.
Lucifer was revered as the most powerful candidate of destruction, yet no one knew what ’Aspect’ of destruction he possessed.
The reason was simple;
All those who had seen it were all dead and gone.

Although Lucifer had risen his right hand and began gathering enormous amounts of cosmic energy in his palm, Roseborn still carried on with his complex magic casting.
Finally, Roseborn finished his casting and all the circles merged together into one gigantic light year-long circle.

From the giant multi-coloured magic circle in front of Roseborn, a flower bud appeared before blooming into a beautiful rose with dozens of petals.
***WOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG!!!!!
The petals glowed a multi-coloured light as a beam of energy shot out from the stigma of the rose, devastating anything in its path as it made its way over to Lucifer.
Simultaneously, the energy concentrated to the maximum within Lucifer’s palm was released in the form of a gigantic shockwave capable of obliterating anything in its path, and that it did.

The chaotic void around them quaked as Lucifer’s ’Final Calamity’, collided with Roseborn’s ’Spell Edict of Anarchy’, resulting in a flash of light so bright that one could mistake it for a big bang.
***CCCRRRAACCKKKKKK!!!
Roseborn’s spell circle cracked as the aura of destruction did its job of destroying his spell from the roots.
Within the next few milliseconds, the ’Final Calamity’ collided with the old flugel supreme ruler whose defences had been reduced to nothing, resulting in another set of explosions that was as bright as a big bang.
To the onlooker, it looked like a myriad of galaxies and planets came into existence before crashing down onto Roseborn’s body.
