Chapter 227: Devil King Vs Supreme Ruler IV
Roseborn took a stance with his right hand pulled back as he gazed up at Lucifer and spoke.

Lucifer understood the intention of the old flugel supreme ruler as he replied while taking a similar stance.

The sound of leaves rustling was all that could be heard as the two stared at each other in silence once more.
A single withered leaf slowly fell to the ground in between them.
The moment it touched the ground---

The planet they were on, was reduced to space dust the moment the two clashed.
It happened within the span of a single second.
Within that second, the two beings who were facing each other took similar sets of actions.
For Lucifer;

The millisecond he activated his authority, his hand was coated in a thick layer of dark red destructive energy.
He kicked off the ground and dashed towards the old flugel supreme ruler who was closing the distance in between them.
For Roseborn;

A black layer of energy covered his clenched fist as he kicked off the ground and closed the distance between him and the devil king that was dashing through the air towards him.
The fists of the two collided, resulting in a loud explosion that resulted in not only the planet they were on but the entire solar system being reduced to space dust.
Emerging unscathed from the middle of the explosion that resulted from the two authority-filled fists clashing, the two rulers began exchanging a flurry of blows in the darkness of space.
Each punch of theirs was enough to send out shockwaves that returned nearby planets to the stone age, wiped out the surfaces of some, and rendered a few others starless.
The two took a short break before going on to continue their exchange of blows, throwing in the occasional authority-charged attack.
Being existences that had lived for dozens of millions of years, Roseborn and Lucifer possessed a myriad of authorities in laws that most beings didn’t even know existed.
For example;

Lucifer sent Roseborn flying into a random planet with a punch packed with the power of the law of welting. It was a law that simply embodied the act of ’striking something heavily’.
The punch to the gut sent the old flugel supreme flying at a speed that would make light seem slow as he crashed through a gigantic 50,000-kilometre-square planet.

It was shattered completely as the force at with which he crashed into it, was enough to blot out a star from the sky if it was aimed at said star.

Roseborn spat out black blood as he placed his hands on one of the giant pieces of debris from the shattered planet before calling out.

The pieces of debris that made up the planet glowed with a green light before coming back together and reforming the planet.

Roseborn replied to Lucifer as he rose one of his hands and activated two more authorities.

Nearly five dozen orbs of dark light about six feet in diameter appeared around lucifer before cracking open to reveal black-haired clones of Roseborn.
Each of them was dressed like a typical mage with a long robe and magic staff. They all pointed their staves at Lucifer before firing spells of various attributes and tiers.

Various magic of various attributes were all launched towards lucifer. The clones couldn’t care less if the magic they fired contradicted each other, what mattered was delaying lucifer from getting to the real Roseborn.

Lucifer screamed out as he released multiple omnidirectional bursts of red and blue-coloured energy. With each burst of energy released, at least five clones were reduced to ash.
The devil king narrowed his eyes as he didn’t expect the clones to be as strong as they were, then again, for someone skilled in taking over the bodies of others, it made sense that he would be skilled in the act of cloning too.
Meanwhile, Roseborn was liquefying the pieces of debris from the shattered planet with the law of alchemy.
He then reformed the liquid into a giant spear before hardening it once more.
|Enchant: Holy Flames|
For a construct made using forbidden alchemy, one would think that something ’Holy’ would not work on it.
However, when the level of proficiency of the one using the ’Holy’ ability was high enough, such a restriction could be easily bypassed.
Roseborn was someone who had comprehended many laws over millions of years and naturally had high levels of comprehension in all of them.
He was able to skilfully utilize three high-rank authorities at the same time, using the power of a fourth law, especially one that was from the opposite end of the spectrum.
Golden runic lines appeared at the butt of the spear and ran through the handle all the way to the tip like veins, glowing with light bright enough to attract the attention of Lucifer who was still dealing with the clones.
Lucifer sensed the spike of holy energy and his frown deepened even more as he snapped his head in Roseborn’s direction.
A clone took advantage of his distracted state to fire magic at it but the devil king just tanked the attack without so much as flinching.

Roseborn shouted out while drawing his hand that was gripping the spear backwards. His muscles then bulged as he threw the spear in lucifer’s direction with all of his strength.
Emphasis on, ’All of his strength’.
This was the full strength of a sub-cosmic existence at the peak of the monarch realm, one that has lived for millions of years and accumulated far more power than the average superior stage monarch realm existence.
The end result was nothing short of devastating.
