Chapter 215: The ‘First Magic’

As soon as Arthur replied, his vision went black.

Arthur opened his eyes to see himself in a dark space. Looking around, he could see an innumerable amount of stars shining brightly in this space.
[This is a demonstration of the ’First Magic’ and what it can be used for.
It is also the reason the ’First Magic’ was created.]
After the A.I’s robotic voice resounded, and Arthur could suddenly see a gigantic large barred spiral galaxy. His vision then zoomed out and the number of galaxies he could see increased.
Various galaxies of myriad shapes, sizes, and colours.
Some were spiral, some Elliptical, a few others were barred spirals, and there were a great number of lenticular galaxies along with an equally high number of Pinwheel galaxies.
The colours also varied with some being cerulean blue while the one right next to them could be ash grey. There were also those that were multicoloured and some that looked pure white.
He saw various galaxy clusters with galaxies arranged in many shapes. Some were arranged in a cross-format, some in an octagram, and he saw one he recognized.
A pyramid-shaped galaxy cluster that had 45 galaxy clusters, each containing one million galaxies, coming together to make this one large galaxy supercluster.
’That’s the ’Nine thousand Circles’!’
His vision then zoomed out and he saw a large translucent blood-red barrier that looked like a giant bubble over billions of light-years in diameter, containing all these billions of galaxies within it.
Zooming out even further, he saw that there was some sort of red mist that was covering this barrier and preventing one from seeing it clearly.
He looked around and saw a myriad of other gigantic bubbles containing dozens of billions of galaxies, each being obscured from view by mist clouds of different colours.
Such a fantastical sight put Arthur in a trance as he stared at them dumbfoundedly.
[The memory shall now be played.]
The A.I’s robotic voice, brought Arthur out of his stupor as he finally remembered that the A.I was that of a ’Memory crystal’.
Now, it was beginning to play the memories that were stored within.
As soon as the memory began playing, the first thing Arthur saw was the sight of multiple rivers of cosmic energy all flowing to a certain point.
He turned in that direction and saw that the rivers of cosmic energy were all being condensed inside the cupped hands of a gigantic horned being that was over tens of thousands of light-years in size.

The true voice rang out as Arthur felt a headache due to how loud it was, nevertheless, he did not miss the sight of this horned gigantic being, thrusting out both hands in the direction of the blood-red bubble.

The beam of multicoloured light crossed the light-years of distance between this horned giant and the red bubble in a second and was about to hit it in the next, only for time to suddenly come to a stop.
[|Tsk...You finally showed yourself.]|
The beam of light was also stopped in time, even so, the horned giant was still moving around as if it was nothing special. He stretched out his hand and with a flash of dark light, a gigantic longsword, more than half his height appeared within.

Arthur heard another voice and turned around to see that there was another being who was now looking at the beam of cosmic energy that was stopped in time.
[|To my descendant who shall watch this in the future. Look closely and observe how this King shall deal with the impudent bastards that dare attack his kingdom.]|
This second being was a man that had Silver hair with streaks of red running through it. He wore a black office shirt and trousers and had a blazer resting on his shoulders.
From his back, one could see eight pairs of bat-like wings showing his identity as a devil.
He had a short beard on his chin and his red eyes were locked on the figure of the horned giant who was staring at him with a sword in hand.

He called out with a solemn voice while pointing his hand in the direction of the cosmic energy beam and something that shocked Arthur out of his wits happened next.
The entire cosmic energy beam was sucked into his open palm within seconds!
’No doubt about it! He’s a genuine cosmic being!’
This circular beam of cosmic energy was thousands of light-years in diameter, yet it was all sucked into the palm of this man who was no more than 6 feet 5 inches tall.
It was then that Arthur realized that despite the vast distance between them, he could somehow see this man very clearly as if he was right in front of him.
The red and silver-haired devil, Devil King Lucifer Morningstar, flicked his fingers and called out with a bored voice.
[|Souls lost in hell, heed my call and bend to my will.

A jet-black blade with a red line running through it like veins appeared in his palm and he pointed it at the horned giant.
[|Do you really think I’d let you!|]
The horned giant bellowed out as his gigantic figure blitzed across the chaotic void of space, arriving behind Lucifer in less than a second.
Arthur could not see a thing. To him, it looked like this horned giant teleported.
The horned giant swung down his sword with speed that Arthur could not perceive once again. Suddenly, everything around him slowed as the A.I’s voice rang out once more.

Arthur nodded as he looked around, only to see dozens of other beings suddenly appear from thin air, the auras of various laws were being emitted wildly from their bodies as all these being summoned unique weapons and filled them with cosmic energy before dashing towards Lucifer.
’Cosmic beings! All of them.’
About three dozen cosmic beings all charged towards Lucifer at the same time.
They were from various races as Arthur could see the figures of a spear-wielding angel, a great sword-wielding celestial, a scythe-wielding fallen angel, and an elf who stayed back and did not charge forward like the others with a bow in his hands that he pointed towards Lucifer.
A dwarf appeared beside Lucifer with a large hammer twice his height but he effortlessly swung this hammer in Lucifer’s direction.
While they appeared to be in slow motion to Arthur, it should be noted that all of these happened in less than 5 seconds in reality!
The moment the giant swung down his sword, these beings simultaneously appeared and attacked at the same time.
Weirdly enough, even though there was the risk of friendly fire, none of these beings seemed to care and Arthur could see why.
The elf, for example, fired countless arrows from his bow at a speed that even while slowed down, Arthur could still not see him pull his bow backwards.
Nevertheless, none of the arrows, or rather, the streaks of light Arthur presumed were the arrows, hit any of the other beings.
They phased through these beings and headed straight for Lucifer whose sword glowed red a bit before he finally lowered it.

The moment Lucifer spoke, Reality cracked.
That was the only way to explain what occurred afterwards.
Space ruptured, time went haywire, and red beams of destructive light were fired in almost every direction except behind Lucifer.

The ambient cosmic energy churned wildly as the illumination of countless beams of red light stretched out and covered everything in an instant.

Screams of anguish, bellows of pain, and exclamations of anger rang out simultaneously from the mouths of these beings as their souls began to tremble in fear.
First, they felt the horrific effects of their physical bodies degrading, which then spread to their souls as the layers of protective energy around their souls were rendered useless in mere seconds.
Their muscles and bones began to turn black with death and their bodies became lethargic as they could barely move.
The essences of the laws of time, space, reincarnation, and destruction wrapped around them in a terrifying manner as the laws of life and death danced upon their souls gleefully.

None of them could defend.
Three dozen cosmic beings who had lived for an innumerable amount of time and had accumulated power that the current Arthur could only dream about.
None of them could defend against this incomprehensible ability used by Lucifer.
The next second, they were all dead and gone.
Their souls were erased by the law of destruction and all paths of reincarnation or rebirth were cut off.

The already shattered space, shattered even more as golden lightning filled with the essence of causality struck down towards Lucifer.
From his both sides, golden chains of causality burst out from the cracked space and threatened to ensnare him.

Lucifer clicked his tongue as he blitzed out of his original position to the other side of the gigantic red bubble he was protecting.
Nevertheless, the causality chains changed directions as if they had a mind of their own and crossed the folds of space at speeds that made light seem like a snail.
Lucifer paid this no mind as his body descended upon this gigantic bubble-like barrier. The sword in his hands disappeared and he place his now free hands on the bubble before calling out in a solemn voice.
[|Essence of the Cosmos, Bend to my will|]
Cosmic energy poured out of his body and surrounded the gigantic bubble containing galaxies that was nearly a hundred billion light-years in diameter.
All this happened in less than a second as Lucifer looked up and narrowed his eyes, his vision zooming with a focal length in light-years as he glared at the chains of causality that were dashing towards him.
Lo and behold, these chains of causality seemed to slow down to the level of the speed of light!
The speed of light was still fast, nevertheless, for Lucifer who was light-years away, it would be impossible for the chains to reach him before he was done with what he was doing.
The cosmic energy had already wrapped around the entire blood-red bubble and Lucifer let out a small smile as he called out with a joyful tone.
