Chapter 216: The ‘Multiverse’

The moment Lucifer called out, the entire blood-red bubble that was billions of light-years in diameter and contained tens of billions of galaxies, disappeared!
Silently!
Seamlessly!!
Powerfully!!!
The entire bubble of galaxies and alongside the beings within it had disappeared from this crumbling space out of nowhere.
The chains of causality that threatened to ensnare Lucifer could only dissipate into nothingness as their target had vanished.
Then, Arthur’s vision went black once again.

Opening his eyes once again, Arthur could see Lucifer seated atop a black throne with his chin propped up by his hand that was tapping the armrest of the throne.
[|That is the ’First’ of the ’Five Magic’ I created. The first of the five most powerful spells I have ever created.
Good luck learning it, descendant of mine.|]

And like that, Arthur’s vision blacked out for the third time today.

"...What did I just witness?"
[That was the memory of Devil King Lucifer Morningstar utilizing the ’First Magic: Universal Displacement’ to move the Hell Universe from one part of the multiverse to another.]
There were so many common-sense breaking things in that one statement the A.I made in reply to Arthur’s question.
Arthur began addressing the things he could not understand, one by one.
"First of all, that gigantic red bubble was the Hell Universe?"
[Yes. That blood-red bubble of concentrated energy that contained over 100 billion galaxies within it, was the Hell Universe.]
[Universes can be defined as containers that hold a certain number of galaxies within and protect the galaxies and their inhabitants from the high levels of cosmic energy that exist in the multiverse.]
"So you are saying that Lucifer created a spell to move the Hell universe to a different place entirely?"
[Yes.]
"That means the Hell universe is currently not in its original position."
[Yes.
If the Hell universe is still situated 30620139.4 Parsecs east from the Karman Universe, 24152842.857 Parsecs west from the Orthys Universe, and 30139380.572 Parsecs north of the Humenia Universe, then it is still in the position that Devil King Lucifer moved it too fifteen million years ago, Burning Realms Time.]
Unfortunately, in trying to get the A.I to break down the things he did not understand, the A.I spoke of more things that made Arthur even more confused.
"Hold up! I have no idea what half of what you are saying even means!"
[What parts of my statements do you not understand?]
"Everything! What is a parsec? And Orthys? Isn’t that the name that Olympus had more than two hundred thousand years ago?
Or rather you said Lucifer moved this universe here fifteen million years ago?!
Is Olympus that old?
Dad told me the earliest records of Olympus date back to two million years ago. And those were vague as hell!"
Arthur shouted at the top of his lungs while breathing heavily. The A.I on the other hand, replied with the same robotic voice as ever.
[A Parsec is a unit of measurement used in measuring the distance between celestial bodies. One parsec is equivalent to 3.62 light-years.
Orthys is a universe that is 24152842.857 parsecs east of the Hell Universe. As for the name ’Olympus’, that name is not in my database. I have no recollection of the events that have transpired since I was placed in this memory crystal.
The only reason I even know how long has passed is because of my timer that did not fail in calculating exactly how many years it has been since then.]
"Honestly, I’m more surprised by the fact that there is a timer that can count that long. How did you even get energy anyway?"
[By absorbing part of the ambient energy in the areas I was in, I was able to keep my timer running.]
"Without maintenance?"
[Such trivialities were not deemed necessary.]
Arthur heaved a sigh as he stared at the fist-sized memory crystal in his palm. After a few moments, he decided to ask his questions about the first thing he did not understand.
"What is this thing you call ’Multiverse’?"
[The Multiverse is a group of an innumerable number of universes that exists in the cosmos. Together, these universes comprise everything that exists within the multiverse. The entirety of space, time, matter, energy, information, and the physical and universal laws alongside the constants that define them.]
"..."
[...]
"...Can you dumb it down a bit?"
[The Multiverse is the sea of universes that exists within the cosmos.]
"So you are telling me that the ’Universal Sea’ is actually called the Multiverse?"
[’Universal Sea’ is a term that was coined by ancient beings who did not want lower existences to find out about certain secrets of the Cosmos.
The actual name of the thing that contains the universes, is the ’Multiverse’.]
Arthur took a few minutes to digest the information the A.I was feeding him. As for the talk of the ’Ancients’ who coined the term, ’Universal Sea’, he did not even bother to ask.
"Next, if that giant blood-red bubble was the Hell universe, then the other bubbles were other universes, huh?"
[Yes.]
"So the Hell universe was originally in another part of the multiverse but Lucifer moved it to a different location with the ’First Magic’?"
[That is correct. The ’First Magic’ was created to move universes from one location in the multiverse to another.]
"What are the requirements?"
[To utilize the ’First Magic’, the following requirements have to be met;
First off, the caster must have achieved cosmic superiority. In other words, they must be a cosmic being.
Next, the need to be at least in the superior stage of the monarch realm.
Third, they should have at least Monarch rank authorities in more than half of the following laws;
Space,
Gravity,
Time,
Causality,
Life,
Death,
Alacrity,
Fortification,
And Knowledge.]
"..."
Once again, Arthur was left speechless by the absurd requirements for one to be able to cast the ’First Magic’.
Even current Devil king Diablo had not reached the superior stage of the monarch realm, this is not considering if he possessed authorities in laws like Alacrity and Fortification.
"Can I see what other Magic there are available?"
[You can, however, there is no point as you would not be able to cast them. I have analyzed your current level of existence and the laws you possess.
You are a Superior stage grandmaster realm existence possessing the laws of Time, Destruction, and Extinction.
Your comprehension of these laws, however, is non-existent.
Even if you are a sub-cosmic being, you would not be able to use any of the remaining Four Magic as the spells require one to have achieved cosmic superiority.]
"I know my law comprehensions are non-existent, you don’t have to rub it in my face."
Arthur clicked his tongue as he remembered the reason his law comprehensions were lost. He sighed in exasperation as he thought about the fact that he had to begin comprehending these laws from the start once more.
’I’m sighing a lot lately.’
He then asked another question that had been bugging his mind.
"How old was Lucifer anyway?"
[Devil King Lucifer Morningstar was Aged 20.153 Million years at the time he created this memory crystal.
This was within the year he utilized the ’First Magic’ on the Hell universe. By calculations, he should be 35.154 million years old.]
"I can’t even fathom how long a thousand years is, much less 35 million years."
[His age could have been affected by various factors. For example, he may have entered a universe with a different time flow, where 1 year in the Hell Universe’s Burning Realms, could be 10 years over there.]
Arthur ran a hand through his hair as he set the crystal on the table. He then spent the next ten minutes digesting the information he had received and thinking of possible questions to ask the A.I.
"Hey, do you know what’s in Varona?"
[Apologies, I have no record of a place named ’Varona’ in my database.]
"Well, that was a bust."
Seeing as he could not get any heads up from the crystal, he continued asking other questions that he had while the crystal gave answers whenever it could.
Most of its information was outdated, as the A.I had not been updated in over 15 million years. This led Arthur to question how the crystal survived that long but the A.I claimed not to know as it was in a dormant state.
Nevertheless, learning about the reality that his universe was not in its original position was a bit too much for Arthur to take right now so he was secretly relieved that the A.I did not give him any more common-sense-breaking answers.
As for the display of power that Lucifer exhibited in the crystal’s memories, Arthur decided not to stress himself trying to understand the power of a being that was leagues above what the current him could ever hope to dream of.
He deactivated the A.I after his questions were answered and went on to finalize his preparations for the Realm expedition
