Chapter 419: The War Tide Is Changing.

Whoosh!

Before the Scorpion Captain and his men could realize what was happening, the two undead covered the short distance and appeared before them.

Their speed completely exceeded everyone’s expectations. They moved like shadows gliding over the crimson sand.

Swiss! Swiss!

Ahhh! Ahhh! Ahhh!

The two undead Scorpion Men were merely Level 35, but their ferocity and savagery were not something the Scorpion Soldiers expected.

The Scorpion Captain only blocked the first strike, but the second strike cut through his armor, splitting his body into two.

Blood splattered into the air.

His upper body slowly separated from his lower body before crashing heavily onto the crimson sand.

His eyes remained wide open.

Disbelief still lingered across his face.

He had never imagined that he would be killed by what appeared to be one of his own clansmen.

Before the surrounding soldiers could even react, the first undead Scorpion Men had already moved again.

Their blades flashed relentlessly.

Another Scorpion Soldier lost an arm.

Another had his head severed cleanly.

Another had his chest cleaved open.

The Scorpion squad that had been charging confidently instantly fell into complete disorder.

Panic spread through the ranks.

Fear quietly entered the hearts of the surrounding Scorpion Soldiers for the very first time.

The second undead Scorpion Man was not any slower, cutting its target into two. Its eerie yellowish soul fire burned fiercely.

There was no pause between attacks.

Swiss! Swiss!

Its weapon flashed repeatedly.

In less than five seconds, the squad was slaughtered with terrifying efficiency. The Scorpion Soldiers never even managed to organize a proper counterattack.

Several had their weapons raised halfway before their heads rolled onto the crimson sand.

On the undead Scorpion Men’s bodies, there were a few cuts, but that did not stop their movement as they rushed toward their next targets.

The wounds merely slowed them for a brief moment before they continued charging.

Every Scorpion Soldier on their path was hacked into two. Blood splattered onto the crimson sand in quick succession.

Severed limbs flew through the air.

Broken weapons scattered across the battlefield.

Greater Dune Scorpions shrieked miserably as their riders were slaughtered before their eyes.

What!

Although the battlefield was large, the three Commanders and the General had been keeping their eyes on the undead Rend Colossus.

For a moment, none could believe their eyes.

The brutal scene unfolding around the giant undead completely exceeded their expectations.

Was that not a member of their clan?

Why were they attacking their clansmen?

The three Commanders and the General were merely shocked for a second before a look of realization appeared on their faces.

Undead Scorpion Men.

Those words echoed in their minds.

Their expressions instantly darkened. The General gritted his teeth, his eyes burning with hatred.

The veins beneath his scales bulged violently.

Previously, he wanted to kill the Necromancer because he dared to tarnish the image of the Scorpion Clan.

That alone was already an unforgivable crime. But now, it had grown into something far worse.

Far more personal.

Far more humiliating.

How dare a mere human turn their fellow clansmen into undead?

How dare he force the proud warriors of the Scorpion Clan to slaughter their own people?

This was blasphemy.

An insult beyond forgiveness.

The General’s grip tightened around his massive saber. Cracks slowly appeared along the weapon’s handle beneath the terrifying force.

His killing intent erupted uncontrollably.

While they were boiling with rage, thinking of thousands of ways to make the Necromancer pay for such an atrocity,

Various soul rending screams echoed at different corners of the battlefield.

The cries came one after another.

Without stopping.

Since the undead could not cry in pain, the screams could only belong to their clansmen.

Ahhh! Ahhh! Ahhh!

"T-This..."

The General and the three Commanders were stunned by the scene around them. Their soldiers were being slaughtered at an alarming speed.

The battle that had been firmly under their control moments ago was rapidly slipping away.

"No..."

"Commander... Ahhh!"

Before the desperate cry could finish, another head flew into the air. Scorpion Soldier heads were severed cleanly from their necks.

Greater Dune Scorpions had their pincers ripped apart, their stingers cut cleanly. Their massive bodies collapsed heavily onto the crimson sand.

Shells shattered into pieces.

Carapaces split apart.

Bones cracked loudly beneath the relentless attacks. Brain matter flowed onto the desert ground.

Everywhere the General and the Commanders looked, they saw undead Scorpion Men on a killing rampage.

Whenever a Scorpion Soldier attempted to surround one, dozens of weaker undead immediately swarmed in to pin down the target.

The elite undead then calmly delivered the finishing blow.

How?

The battle was already going in their favor but now, they were being pushed back. The morale of the Scorpion Army had been shaken.

What had begun as a confident advance was slowly turning into a desperate struggle.

Their orderly formation was gradually collapsing.

Everywhere they looked, undead Scorpion Men continued advancing without fear.

It would have been nothing if the undead army had been easy to deal with, allowing the Scorpion Soldiers not to think too highly of the undead.

That was how they had viewed the undead at the beginning.

Mindless.

Weak.

Disposable.

But watching the undead using weapons with so much power that was even greater than theirs, the living,

How could they not be scared?

These were no ordinary undead.

"Men of the Scorpion Clan!" one of the Commanders shouted, his booming voice echoing throughout the battlefield.

His powerful voice drowned out much of the surrounding chaos.

Many Scorpion Soldiers instinctively turned toward him.

"This is merely a trick from the enemy. Don’t be scared. The enemy might appear like our clansmen, but they are nothing."

His voice was firm.

His tone was filled with confidence.

As a Commander, he understood that once fear took root inside the army, defeat would only be a matter of time.

He had to stop that fear immediately.

Listening to their Commander’s voice, the slight traces of fear in the hearts of the Scorpion Soldiers began to vanish.

The hesitation in their eyes slowly disappeared.

"Before the might of our Scorpion Clan, tricks are useless. Let us show everyone why we are the rulers of this world." The Commander roared.
