Chapter 418: Undead Army Vs Scorpion Army Part 2 ( Message Chair Bonus Chapter)
Boom!
Instantly, a powerful shockwave spread everywhere. Those rushing toward the undead Rend Colossus were caught off guard, never expecting an undead soldier to possess such terrifying power.
The violent shockwave rippled across the battlefield like an invisible tidal wave.
The crimson sand exploded into the sky.
Nearby undead servants were also blasted backward, yet they simply rose again and continued charging.
The Scorpion Soldiers, however, were caught completely unprepared. They were thrown into the air, crashing into the desert sand.
Some rolled dozens of meters before finally stopping. Others collided heavily with their fellow clansmen.
Even though they were more powerful than their enemies, their carelessness made it difficult for them to withstand the full force of the shockwave.
Many had their formation completely broken apart.
Bang! Bang!
Even though such falls posed no threat to them, they forgot this was a battle against the undead servants.
There was no time to recover.
No time to breathe.
Ahhh! Ahhh!
Before the fallen Scorpion Men could rise back to their feet, they were surrounded by undead beasts and were torn to pieces.
Claws.
Bites.
Weapons.
Everything came crashing at them all at once.
Undead jackals ripped into exposed throats.
Instantly, many soul rending screams filled the air, but their cries were easily drowned out by the next Earth Storm.
Boom!
The undead immediately flooded into those openings like a hungry tide.
Watching the horror, many Scorpion Soldiers stopped their charge and traces of fear appeared on their faces.
Yet never had they encountered an enemy that welcomed death so willingly.
"What are you doing?" a captain shouted.
His furious roar echoed across the battlefield.
"Charge and kill it." He roared and led his team toward the undead Rend Colossus.
Seeing their captain personally charging ahead, many hesitant soldiers gritted their teeth and followed.
Their fear was replaced by rage.
They believed that as long as they brought down the giant undead, everything would return to normal.
While many were focused on the undead Rend Colossus, they failed to notice the number of undead armies was not reducing in the slightest.
Staring at the giant undead Rend Colossus, the three Commanders wore grim expressions.
Even without the undead giant killing their men directly, its strange ability was proving far more troublesome, allowing the weaker undead soldiers to swarm their men.
Its role was not to massacre.
It was to disrupt.
And it was accomplishing that purpose perfectly.
However, looking at the fierce squad rushing toward the undead giant, the three Commanders, the General, and most of the Scorpion Soldiers had their gazes focused on the scene.
Several captains personally joined the charge. To them, this was the strongest force against the enemy.
As long as they defeated it, this war would come to an end. The giant undead was simply too conspicuous.
Destroying it would undoubtedly shatter the morale of the undead army.
So they thought.
Just as the Scorpion Captain was leading his men, charging toward the undead Rend Colossus, two undead Scorpion Men appeared on the battlefield.
Thoren’s plan was simple.
The undead Rend Colossus was merely a distraction, allowing him to slowly release the killer undead soldiers.
The giant undead was never intended to be the decisive force of the battle.
Its purpose was to draw every eye toward itself. To make the Scorpion Army believe they had already found the greatest threat on the battlefield.
And looking at the effect on the battle, the result was obvious. Nearly every Scorpion Soldier had focused his attention on the towering undead giant.
Most of the attention was on the undead Rend Colossus, allowing the two undead Scorpion Men to blend perfectly with the battlefield.
The undead Scorpion Men were not only appearing in the location of the undead Rend Colossus but in each of the four sections of the battlefield.
Two undead Scorpion Men appeared at exactly the same time.
Each pair had a different target.
Each pair silently moved toward the strongest cluster of Scorpion Soldiers.
Like patient predators.
Waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
Their presence did not cause any ripple in the ongoing raging war.
The Scorpion Soldiers were still slaughtering the weaker undead servants, unaware of the new undead force entering the battlefield.
Weapons continued to clash.
Blood continued to spill.
The deafening battle cries drowned every unusual sound.
Under the coordination of the four undead Gravemind Devourers, the undead kept attacking the Scorpion Soldiers with full force.
Every undead wave was perfectly coordinated. Whenever one side weakened, another undead force immediately filled the gap.
Whenever the Scorpion Soldiers tried to regroup, another undead assault crashed into them.
The battlefield slowly descended into complete chaos.
Boom!
The undead Rend Colossus slammed its foot on the ground once again and a powerful shockwave spread everywhere.
The crimson sand exploded into the air.
Several undead servants were thrown backward. Many Scorpion Soldiers staggered.
However, the incoming Scorpion Soldiers were prepared this time and defended against the shockwave with ease.
The Greater Dune Scorpions dug their massive claws into the sand. The violent tremor could no longer stop their advance.
Their steps did not even slow down as they rushed toward it.
Their eyes blazed with devilish grins.
Victory was already within reach.
They raised their weapons over their heads, closing the few remaining meters between themselves and the undead Rend Colossus.
Their blood boiled with excitement.
Their eyes blazed with savage ferocity. To them, they had already killed the undead Rend Colossus.
The only thing left was delivering the final blow.
Just then...
Among the weaker undead rushing forward, two undead Scorpion Men appeared before them.
Their weapons gleamed with terrifying sharpness.
Unlike the rusty blades carried by the ordinary undead, these weapons reflected an eerie bronze light beneath the three bloody moons.
Compared to the weapons of the weaker undead, these were on another level. Merely staring at them made the charging Scorpion Soldiers instincts scream.
Danger!
Several experienced Scorpion Soldiers instinctively slowed their charge.
Unfortunately, the warning came too late.
