Chapter 180: Chapter 122: The Jackals Are Here (3)

Lowering his binoculars, Benjamin slipped back into the fortress vehicle. Percy hurried to follow, asking, "What do we do now? We can’t see anything clearly from here."

They were too far away. The only thing they could see clearly was a single tall building, like a high-rise from their past lives. But what good was that? The other buildings were indistinct, and they had no idea how many Undead there were. If they just left, the whole trip would have been for nothing.

But moving closer would be dangerous. If they really ran into the Undead, it wouldn’t be easy to handle. Last time, tens of thousands had appeared in an instant, and who knew how many more were behind them?

Benjamin said as he walked, "Of course we’re pressing forward. If I’m right, the Undead should be resting now. They don’t dare come out during the day. This is an opportunity, you hear me, Percy? This is a golden opportunity!"

Percy faltered for a second, then jogged a few steps to catch up and asked nervously, "Benjamin, what are you thinking? You can’t be planning to attack the Undead, can you? He’s not like the other City Lords we’ve fought. He has far too many Undead. He could have arrived in this world before we did, part of the last batch of Transmigrators."

Arriving at a table, Benjamin picked up a glass of wine, took a sip, and savored it before turning his head with a smile. "You’re too timid. So what if he’s from the previous batch of Transmigrators? Does that guarantee he can beat us? All Undead fear the sun, don’t they? Look outside—it’s broad daylight. We can succeed."

Percy was still hesitant. "But..."

THUD.

The wine glass slammed down on the table. Benjamin looked at Percy, displeased. "If we don’t attack them now, then when? At night? Are you suggesting we attack the Undead when they’re at their strongest? Or do you intend to just turn tail and run?"

Seeing Percy’s unhappy expression, Benjamin softened his tone. He picked up another glass of wine, walked over, and slung an arm around Percy’s shoulders. Handing him the glass, he said with a smile, "Hey, Percy, just think. If the Undead City Lord really is one of the last batch of Transmigrators, he must have tons of good stuff. We could save ourselves a whole lot of effort. Hmm? Am I right?"

Just as birds die for food, men die for wealth. Percy didn’t say a word, but his eyes gave him away. The allure of treasure stirs the heart, and at the mention of resources, Percy’s resolve wavered.

Seeing that familiar look in his eyes, the smile on Benjamin’s face widened. He continued to enchant him, saying, "If we want to survive in this world, we need to get stronger, and stronger, and stronger still. It’s just like in our past lives—we needed money. Everyone else is the same, so we have to fight for it! An opportunity is right in front of us. We can’t just let it pass."

Percy gritted his teeth and looked at Benjamin. "How confident are you? Can we actually beat them? We have no intelligence on these Undead."

"Heh!" Benjamin released Percy’s shoulder, spreading his hands wide with a booming laugh. "Who are we? We’re Transmigrators! We’re the main characters! We won’t die. This fight will be as easy as all the others. Those Eastern People are just resource Warehouses set up for us, aren’t they?"

Thinking of their past battles, Percy suddenly relaxed. He was one of the first to follow Benjamin and had personally witnessed his rapid rise to power. By constantly attacking this world’s native Tribes and solitary City Lords, Benjamin had accumulated vast resources.

Victory after victory had elevated Benjamin to the status of a War God in Percy’s mind. He even believed that Benjamin had received a mysterious inheritance from the Ancient Eastern Country and had mastered the legendary, ancient text, *The Art of War by Sun Tzu*.

"Alright. I’ll listen to you." Percy nodded firmly.

"Haha... That’s more like it!" Pleased that he had persuaded Percy, Benjamin gave the order, "Forward! Let’s go see those terrifying Undead for ourselves!"
