The four of them sat on the edge of the Bone Plate Platform, eating roasted meat. "Alright, spill it," Zhang Peng said. "What intelligence do you have?"

The young Cat Girl, Mengmeng, had her mouth stuffed with meat, her cheeks puffed out. When she heard Zhang Peng speak, she struggled to swallow, choking so badly her eyes nearly rolled back in her head. Liu Xingxing saw what was happening and handed her a cup of water. Mengmeng quickly took it and downed two big gulps before she could finally breathe again.

"That Human controls the Jackal Wolfmen and Kobolds. When they attack, they come in the thousands. Just as he’d suspected. There was no longer any room for doubt. The person who had been hunting Liu Xingxing yesterday was the black man the Cat Girl was talking about.

Zhang Peng nodded and pressed, "Think again. When they attack, how many thousands are there, exactly? Your estimate is too broad—both 2,000 and 9,000 could be described as ’several thousand.’ And how many of those wolves are there?"

The young Cat Girl tore at her roasted meat with a frustrated frown. She couldn’t recall the exact figures. But Meng Ni, who was sitting beside her, suddenly spoke up.
