Chapter 645: You Bastard! Are You Already Bored of Me?
"So did you close that door?" Feeling wave after wave of chill ripple across her body, Miko turned her head to glance back toward the entrance behind her.
No matter what, she really didn’t want anyone seeing her down in this basement without a stitch of clothing on.
"Relax, Miko, of course I closed it. And I’ve already worked a bit of energy into the door—no, I suppose I should call it elemental power. Either way, no one else could get in even if they wanted to." After turning back and looking Miko’s body up and down once more, Kaito set her at ease.
But in truth, he was still thinking about the matter of the Raiden Shogun.
If the Raiden Shogun were to learn that he and Miko were doing this sort of thing in the basement of the shrine, that would be more than a little awkward.
Still, it wasn’t so bad—even if the Raiden Shogun were to come over here in the dead of night, he’d know about it right away, and could even keep the Raiden Shogun from realizing they were right here.
"Really? No one can get in at all?"
Hearing Kaito say so, Miko still wanted to make sure.
If that really were the case, Miko felt she could let herself go and play to her heart’s content, without having to fret over so many things and end up half-hearted about it.
"Mm, no one can get in." Here in the Genshin world, Kaito felt he could make that guarantee.
"Then... how do you want to treat me, Kaito? Here, in this Miko’s very own shrine?" Having gotten her definite answer, Miko, her face slightly flushed, put this question to Kaito.
Whether it was because this place was the shrine or not, Miko somehow found it especially thrilling—even more thrilling than that time back in Liyue, even though the two of them hadn’t actually begun anything yet.
"Huh? Isn’t it enough just to lock you up in here?"
Regarding what Miko had said, Kaito seemed a bit taken aback.
"You scoundrel! Have you already gotten bored of me?"
Seeing that Kaito actually had no other ideas, Miko was thoroughly vexed.
After all, in a place like the shrine she already felt she was giving up a great deal, and yet this fellow had no other ideas whatsoever—how could she not be annoyed?
"No, no, I just thought you only wanted to be locked up in here, that’s all—my misunderstanding, my misunderstanding." Hurriedly waving his hands, Kaito began turning over what he and Miko might get up to.
At first he really had thought Miko only wanted to be dressed in that sort of outfit and then locked up in here, but clearly he’d thought the matter far too simple.
But what to play at?
Mulling over this question, Kaito sank into thought.
And it was just then that Miko spoke up.
"Kaito."
"What is it?"
Seeing that Miko clearly had something to say, Kaito asked her what was the matter.
He figured Miko was surely about to tell him what she wanted to play at.
That works too...
Watching Miko, who seemed a little hesitant, Kaito silently mused to himself like this.
"It’s just... just do to me the same as that time back in Liyue!" After hesitating for a moment, Miko came out and told Kaito what she had in mind.
Since she felt that time playing with Kaito in Liyue had been quite nice, why not have another go at it now?
Surely, in a place like this, it would be all the more thrilling.
"The same as in Liyue?"
After hearing Miko out, Kaito didn’t immediately recall which one she was referring to.
But before long, he remembered.
And just then Miko assumed Kaito was confirming it with her, so she nodded and answered, "That’s right, the same as in Liyue."
Then she remembered that the outfit was still over at Mobius’s place, so she went on, "But if that outfit’s still over with Mobius..."
"No, it’s already here with me."
Before Miko could finish, Kaito cut her off.
Although he could simply conjure it up on his end, in order to keep Miko from feeling that their powers were always so suspiciously alike, Kaito promptly came up with a reason.
And that was that Mobius had already handed the outfit over to him—and the same went for everyone’s outfits.
"Huh?"
At these words from Kaito, Miko evidently didn’t catch on.
"I mean Mobius already gave me all of those outfits of yours—and hers too."
Seeing that Miko didn’t understand, Kaito explained it once more in greater detail.
"I see... it really feels like Mobius likes you a great deal, Kaito." Now that she’d understood, Miko couldn’t help but think once again of the matter of Mobius.
Even now, she still didn’t know whether Mobius had truly won Kaito’s genuine affection.
Although the two of them had already done that sort of thing, Miko always felt that Kaito had only done it with Mobius because he had no choice, so now she wanted to ask about the situation.
"How did we get onto the subject of Mobius?"
Not expecting Miko to suddenly bring up the matter of Mobius, Kaito was a little curious.
"Aiya, it’s just that I feel you only accepted her because you had no choice. If you really aren’t interested in her, then you shouldn’t go on like this—I’ll go and explain things to her clearly." Under Kaito’s gaze, Miko spoke her mind, and then, worried that Kaito would think she was jealous, she added, "Don’t you go thinking I’m being jealous of her, now—I just feel that if you really don’t care for her, you ought to make things clear with her. I’ll go along with you."
This Miko really does think about an awful lot...
Giving a helpless little laugh, Kaito replied, "What am I going to do with you—anyway, it isn’t the way you think. How about I call her over right now?"
Call Mobius over too?
The moment she heard Kaito say this, Miko grew a little hesitant—after all, she only wanted to play here together with Kaito.
And with one more person added in, things would be a bit different.
"I’ll tell you about it later instead—it feels like it can’t be explained in a moment or two, and right now this is our private time. I’ll tell you about the Mobius matter tomorrow."
Noticing that Miko was a little hesitant, Kaito promptly said they’d talk about the Mobius matter tomorrow.
He knew that right now Miko only wanted the two of them to play here, and didn’t want anyone else coming over.
"Aiya, but if I just nod like this, it feels like it’s not quite fair to Mobius..."
"Stop always imagining her as some girl who needs your help, Miko. Mobius isn’t as fragile as you think."
Not expecting that Miko would keep feeling she was doing wrong by Mobius, Kaito had no choice but to tell her this.
Haah...
It seems Mobius put on a performance just a touch too convincing over there...
Leaving Miko always feeling that she needed other people’s help...
Musing on this silently, Kaito dressed Miko in that outfit from before—the one with the cluster of zippers that appeared in just the right spots.
"You scoundrel, not even a word of warning—I thought something had just crawled up onto my body."
The moment that outfit went on, Miko gave Kaito a thump with her little fist, and then dragged his hand toward her own belly, and on downward from there.
