Chapter 644: Miko’s Expectations
"What’s the matter? Miko, do you want me to lock you up in here? Though a place like this couldn’t hold you anyway."
Turning his head and glancing at Miko with what seemed like mild surprise, Kaito tossed out the casual quip.
He figured Miko had to be joking—after all, a place like the shrine wasn’t really suited for getting up to all sorts of strange and peculiar things.
If the Raiden Shogun and her sister were to find out, that would be a bit awkward.
"How couldn’t it hold me? Earlier, when I was wearing that strange outfit Mobius made, I couldn’t do anything at all."
Seeing that Kaito really did seem to have that sort of intention in mind, Miko answered him this way.
In any case, right now it was just her and Kaito here, so she didn’t need to feel shy about anything at all—whatever she wanted to do, she could just come right out and say it.
Although she felt that doing strange things here with Kaito was a little unfair to Ei, Miko figured that as long as they weren’t found out, there shouldn’t be any problem.
And besides, doing those kinds of things here—she felt it would be quite thrilling.
"Miko, do you still want to keep wearing that outfit Mobius made?" Noticing that Miko seemed to still want to keep wearing that outfit, Kaito wanted to make sure.
If that really was the case, then naturally he would indulge her—after all, he simply loved watching Miko wear that outfit.
It was just that in a place like the shrine, he still felt more or less hesitant.

"It was just for storing odds and ends, but it hasn’t been used in a long while now, since all the clutter’s been moved elsewhere."
Although she was quite curious how Kaito intended to solve the matter of that outfit, Miko still answered his question first.
After that, she bent down and used a key to unlock the entrance to that basement.
"It really hasn’t been used in ages, has it—this smell is awful." As the entrance was opened by Miko, a moldy odor immediately wafted out from within.
"It’ll be fine in a moment—it’s perfectly normal for there to be a smell like this when a place hasn’t been used in a long time."
Regarding what Kaito said, Miko spoke as though it were a matter of course.
After that, the two of them waited a little while before heading inside one after the other.
"It’s so dark—let me make some points of light." The moment he went in and found there were no lamps inside, Kaito directly conjured up several sources of light, instantly making the place extremely bright, leaving Miko quite dazed at the sight.
"Kaito, your power is— Hm?" Before she could even finish speaking, Miko suddenly felt a chill across her body, and then discovered that the clothes on her had simply vanished.
"Kaito, you scoundrel... to be so impatient."
Though her tone carried a note of displeasure, in truth Miko was actually quite looking forward to what came next.
In front of Kaito, she didn’t need to feel shy about anything—after all, he’d already seen her many times over, and she’d long since gotten used to it.
It was just that in a place like this, she still couldn’t help feeling a little shy, and couldn’t help finding it thrilling.
"Didn’t you say you wanted to wear that outfit? Then of course the other clothes have to come off first."
Kaito answered as though it were the most natural thing in the world.
