Chapter 110: Chapter 110: The Mighty and Domineering Old Master

Hanging up, a smile touched Chloe Sinclair’s lips. "Director, let’s just tear her down."

Director Warren had been keeping an eye on Chloe Sinclair. Seeing how familiar she was with the person on the phone, and hearing that familiar voice, he immediately guessed who it was.

He already couldn’t stand the sight of Linda Warren.

But the thought of the financial backers behind Linda Warren always reminded him that he could never tear her down online.

Director Warren was particularly annoyed by this, but now, it seemed her backers were ignoring her. In other words, they had completely given up on her.

In that case, what Linda Warren had to face next probably wasn’t just the production team.

So, Director Warren quickly excused himself and told the editor, "This might be a bit of hard work today. I need you to edit together the clips of Linda Warren and Chloe Sinclair’s argument. But don’t make it too obvious. We can’t let the viewers figure out the production team is deliberately targeting her, understand?"

No one was happy with the host who’d been dropped into the show. It wasn’t just that she was incompetent; she had also interrupted the program multiple times, nearly bringing production to a halt and creating a lot of extra work for the staff.

Now that the director wanted to use this incident to crush Linda Warren, the editor eagerly agreed. "Don’t worry, I’ve been an editor for years. This is nothing I can’t handle."

Director Warren laughed and clapped the editor on the shoulder. "I’m counting on you."

After briefing the editor, Director Warren contacted some of his friends in the industry.

These friends were very close with him and said they were willing to help.

Linda Warren, having returned to the Shaw residence, had no idea that very soon, she would become universally despised and hated across the entire internet.

And right now, she wasn’t having a good time either.

At the Shaw family’s old mansion, she could wrap Seth Shaw around her little finger, but she could never make the old man happy.

The old man of the Shaw family was getting on in years, but he was still as sharp as ever. He had been dead set against her ever setting foot in the house.

Even now that she had used all sorts of tricks to get in the door, Mr. Shaw would still lecture her from time to time.

Especially today. She had expected Seth Shaw to be at the mansion, but when she got home, he was nowhere to be seen.

To make matters worse, the old man was sitting on the sofa right now, looking like he was about to hold a tribunal. The moment she walked in, he glared at her, his face full of rage.

There were two people in this family she feared most. One was Jasper Shaw, who had never even shown his face, and the other was the old man sitting on the sofa.

Because the Shaws... their words were truly venomous.

They always hit the nail on the head, striking right where it hurt the most.

Consequently, Linda Warren didn’t dare say a word. She slipped on her slippers and, like an ostrich, quietly tried to tiptoe upstairs.

But just as she reached the staircase, the old man spoke.

"Get over here."

Linda Warren froze. She turned around mechanically, a fawning smile plastered on her face.

"Dad..."

The old man’s expression changed, and he suddenly exploded with rage. "Dad? What ’Dad’? I have a daughter-in-law! Look up! Her picture is hanging right in the middle of the wall! You really think that just because you’ve stepped through the Shaws’ door, you’re the mistress of the house? I’m telling you, dream on! You’ll never marry into the Shaw family unless I’m dead!"

Linda Warren trembled, a flicker of fear flashing in her eyes as she looked at Mr. Shaw.

She just stood there trembling for a long moment, completely unable to find the words to say to the old man.

All she could do was stand before him with her head bowed.

But her face was a mask of resentment.

The old man saw it instantly and snorted. "What, you’re not convinced?"
