Chapter 271: Let Me Groom You To Be Curvy

James saw that Yvonne had barely eaten a third of her food and only drank half a glass of juice. He furrowed his brows and said.

"You put on weight? How? And where? I thought you look great!"

She didn’t reply. She did not want to discuss whether she was fat or thin with a man.

Seeing that she didn’t speak, he thought that she didn’t believe what he said and continued. "Don’t listen to the nonsense. Women don’t have to be skinny thin. I believe, both men and women should be healthy. As for being thin, it’s not important."

When she saw him talking so excitedly, she could not help frowning as she thought to herself, "Trying to preach to a doctor??!!"

She sneered and said, "It’s easy to comment. But if I were a fat woman weighing 400 pounds now, would you still want to have lunch with me?"

"Yes, of course I will."

He said firmly and decisively.

However, she continued, "That’s because I don’t weigh 400 pounds."

She didn’t believe that any man would be willing to have dinner with a fat woman.

Seeing that she did not believe him, he said.

"I’m telling the truth. If you don’t believe me, give me a chance to feed you till you are 400 pounds."

Yvonne glared at him and said.

"Yea right, in your dreams."

He chuckled, in his mind, he thought it would be great if he could make her put on weight till she was 200 pounds. In that case, she would belong to him alone.

However, health is most important.

After lunch, just as they were walking out of the restaurant, they bumped into a hungry Stanley who walked in.

"Stanley? What are you doing here?"

Yvonne was a little surprised. After all, he had suggested that they go to the cafeteria for lunch.

When Stanley saw Yvonne, his expression was a little awkward. After a pause, he said, "My friend is inside. I came over to meet her. What about you? Had your lunch here?"

She nodded and immediately thought of James, who was next to her. Afraid that he would misunderstand, she explained, "I just finished lunch with my friend and was

about to go back to the hospital."

James was inexplicably unhappy with the term "friend".

Stanley nodded. He glanced at James then said, "See you later."

"Okay."

She nodded and watched him walk into the restaurant. She didn’t look away until he disappeared from her view.

James was observing her reaction.

"What’s so good about this gigolo?"

He thought to himself.

Yvonne looked at the time and then turned to James. "I’m done eating. I still have to go back to work. See you another day."

James nodded.

She turned around and started walking in the direction of the hospital.

However, when she entered the hospital, she realized that James was still following her. Frowning, she turned around and asked, "Why are you following me?"

He shrugged and said, "Of course. I’m here to get the medicine. I haven’t gotten the medicine that you prescribed for me."

Hearing this, she said.

"You don’t need any medication. Come on, there is nothing wrong with you."

James smiled and said.

"No no no, since you are the one who prescribed them, I must take them."

She was a little dumbfounded and thought to herself, "You asked for it."

"Trying to be funny again?"

She frowned.

Seeing that she was about to get angry, he hurriedly said.

"I’m just kidding. Don’t worry. I know what I’m doing."

She couldn’t be bothered with him, after all he was a grown-up and wasn’t stupid.

She waved goodbye before walking in.

James stood there, staring at her till she disappeared, and did not look away for a long time.

...

This was just the first step towards success. If he worked hard, he believed that he would eventually win her over.

He mentally motivated himself and then turned toward the pharmacy.

It would be a joke if he didn’t pick up the medication prescribed by his darling Yvonne.

In the evening, James went home with his medication.

For the past few days, Mrs. Taylor had been feeling unwell. She was exhausted from running around, so she decided to stay at home.

Before going to bed, Mrs. Taylor made American ginseng tea for her son. When she entered his bedroom, a whiff of strong musky smell made her cough violently.

"James, what’s the smell in your room? It’s so disgusting."

She immediately placed the ginseng tea on the bedside table and walked to over to open the windows.

James stretched his limbs and said, "It’s nothing. Just some kind of medicated pads."

"Ointment?" Mrs. Taylor immediately asked, "Why are you applying this? Are you feeling unwell?"

When he saw her anxious expression, he remembered that she had always been fussy. He should have kept his mouth shut instead.

He frowned and said, "Mom, don’t worry."

She said, "If you are not feeling well, why don’t I take you to the hospital tomorrow?"

He promptly rejected her offer.

"It’s not serious. This will work."

His mother had no choice but to give up. Frowning, she said, "Tell me if you’re not feeling well."

He nodded.

"And remember to drink the American ginseng tea on the table. It’s good for you."

"Got it."

After watching her leave, he was relieved. He remembered about the medicated pad and he couldn’t help but closed his eyes, smelling the pungent fragrance, deeply immersed in his thoughts.

It was a very special smell.

The next day, James went to the company as usual.

As soon as he entered the office, Olivia knocked on the door and came in. "Mr. Taylor..."

Olivia was halfway through her sentence when she suddenly smelled something strange. She saw James holding a medicated pad in his hand. He was tearing the packaging of the medicated pad and putting the pad on his arm.

Seeing this, Olivia was so shocked that she covered her mouth.

"Am I seeing things? It’s so early in the morning and Mr. Taylor is hurt? What’s going on?" She thought.

When he saw that the secretary had stopped midway through her sentence, James frowned. "What’s going on? Go on."

She quickly continued the reporting of his schedule for the day.

After she finished, he couldn’t help but frown. It turned out that he had so many things to do today. He felt like he had to apply a few more medicated pads.

Thinking of this, he took out a few more slaps from the drawer and stuck them to his arms.

Olivia, who was standing around, was puzzled.

What was wrong with him, she thought to herself again.

"What’s wrong? Is there anything else?"

Seeing that his secretary had not left, James asked.

She stammered then finally asked.

"Mr. Taylor, are you okay?"

He looked crossed.

"Do I look ill?"

"But the smell of this medicated pad..."

"What’s wrong?"

Thereafter, she kept quiet and left.

Not long after, the company grapevine has it that James was applying medicated pads on himself.

"By the way, did Mr. Taylor hurt himself last night because he was doing some sort of intense sports?"

"No way, I think he seems pretty normal."

"Maybe it’s some sort of supplement patch. I heard that many medicated pads nowadays have some kind of supplement value that gets absorbed into the body."

"Really? What kind? I can go check it out."

After work, several colleagues gathered together and were discussing.

...

However, James, who was enjoying the medicated pad in the office, knew nothing about it. He even couldn’t help calling up Daniel to boast about it.

"Dan, come out for a drink tonight."

Daniel on the other side of the phone heard his voice and couldn’t help asking. "You are in a good mood today."

James said, "Yeah."

But in the evening, when he entered the club’s private room, Dan couldn’t help but frown.

"What’s that smell?"

Dan moved aside with slight disdain.

James sat down next to him and got closer on purpose. "Love pads." Dan looked at him as if he was looking at an idiot.

"What nonsense are you spouting? Have you gone stupid?"

"You’re the silly one. You won’t understand."

James picked up the glass of wine on the table and took a sip.

Dan sneered instead.

"What? You got attached?"

James glanced at him and raised his eyebrows. "No, but very soon."

Even though he promised to be just friends with Yvonne, he believed that it would not be long before he won her heart.

Dan seemed to have picked up on the hint.

"What? You have someone you like?"

James did not beat around the bush and nodded.

"Who?" Dan asked curiously.

"I won’t tell you."

James was being mysterious.

The corners of Dan’s mouth twitched. He didn’t ask further.

"By the way, what has Chris been up to?"

Dan thought of him and asked.

He hadn’t seen his friend for several months.

On hearing Chris’ name, James started complaining. "Don’t mention about him. He is now a slave to his family."

Dan saw the resentment on his face and seemed to recall something. He sneered, "I think you’re envious."

James couldn’t believe it. "Me? Envious? What a joke! He’s just a slave. What’s there to envy about?"

Dan thought to himself, "I wonder who was complaining to me a few days ago about pursuing women."

They chatted happily.

Meanwhile, Chris was holding a fairy tale book giving his unborn baby some prenatal nurturing. He suddenly sneezed.

"Honey, have you caught a cold?"

Janice asked, concerned.

Chris rubbed his nose and wondered to himself, "Who is talking behind my back."

He shook his head at Janice. "I’m fine."

She was still worried.

"If you don’t feel well, just tell me. I can go to class by myself tomorrow."

"No way. This is our first lesson. How can I not attend?"

"But you just ..."

"I’m fine. I just sneezed. Don’t worry, your husband is in good shape." As he spoke, he showed off his muscles to her. She teasingly shot him a disapproving glance.

Early the next morning, the two of them went to class together.

This was a class conducted by an approved institution, so they learnt a lot of practical knowledge even in the first lesson.

Janice was very attentive in class. From time to time, she’d jot down notes in her notebook.

It was a habit she had cultivated for many years working as a reporter.

Chris sat by the side and looked at her beautiful handwriting on the notebook. He couldn’t help chuckling.

"What are you laughing at?"

She frowned and whispered.

Chris glanced at the chattering lecturer on the podium, leaned over and whispered in her ear, "Aren’t you being a little too serious?"

"Of course I’m serious. Since I’m here, I have to learn the essence, or my fees would be wasted." She replied.

He frowned and kept quiet.

At this time, the lecturer announced, "Next up is a game segment. Are there parents who are willing to take the initiative to participate? Please raise your hand."

As soon as he finished speaking, Janice raised her hand.
