Chapter 73: 73. I want you
Kora blushed and Darren looked at her with fascination. She had always been beautiful, he knew that, but right now, she was beyond beautiful. She was more than perfect and she was all his. After waiting for so long, he was glad that he didn’t get the wrong person. Seeing her now and having her in his arms, it was worth the wait.
He curled his hand around her waist, pulling her into him and hugging her tight in his embrace. She hugged him back, wrapping her hands around his neck. "I am glad it is you too, who are mine." She said near his ear.
Kora felt fur under her arms and cheek and pulled away a bit from the hug. She was greeted by Darren’s Lycan, his onyx eyes staring at her. His large hand still held her waist which was now so small in his hands.
Compared to Darren’s Lycan who was big, Kora looked like a little child in his arms. Kora reached out her hand to caress the Lycan’s fur on his face, there was a smile on her face. The Lycan leaned towards and licked her face sending sparks wherever he touched, he then moved to her neck and Darren had to force himself to take back control. He wanted to mark her.
Darren looked at Kora who still had a smile on her face. "You are not afraid?" He asked and she shook her head.
"No, I am not." She said their position no longer feels awkward to her. Slowly, she had started getting used to being pinned by him so quickly. Maybe it is because she had somehow wanted him to be her mate in her subconscious mind. "Should I be?"
"No." Replied Darren. He made her lie down on the bed on her back. He ran his hand under her shirt, tracing her curves. He stopped on her waist and started drawing circles on it. "I want you," Darren said looking deep into her eyes that were back to how they were before her shift, green with a red inner glow.
"I know," Kora said, wrapping her hands around his neck as he hovered over her. Darren smiled as he looked at her. There was no fear or resistance in her eyes, inky decisiveness which was one of the many things that he lived about her. Since her childhood, she had always been decisive, knowing what she wanted and saying whatever she felt like saying without mincing words. He found her sharp tongue cute. And right now, she couldn’t be cuter or more beautiful in his eyes. She was not shy even with the innocence in her eyes.
"Are you sure?" He asked. Kora nodes her head. He leaned in and kissed her and she parted her lips allowing him access to her mouth. She was non-responsive at first but she started to copy what he was doing.
A knock on the door broke their intimate moment and Darren growled at the door. He already knew who it was standing behind the door, through his scent and it was none other than his gamma, Levi. Getting off her, Darren walked to the door and opened it while Kora sat up and combed her that was splayed on the pillow with her fingers.
"What is it?" Darren asked with irritation in his voice.
"I am sorry, Alpha, but there is something that needs your attention," Levi said and scratching his head in awkwardness.
Darren looked at him as if to kill him with his eye he turned to look at Kora who was now seated, and his expression became gentle, "I have to go, I will see you later." He said and she nodded her head.
Darren stepped out of the room and Kora walked into the bathroom, she wanted to see what her wolf looks like. She has felt her presence before but she did not think it was the beast that was talking and jumping around in her head after hearing what Dana said, she could not express what she felt because she still found it unreal.
Now that she was all. Alone she would like to meet her wolf herself and know what she looks like. Looking at her reflection in the mirror, Kora could not help remembering the vision that she had. Those people were like her and they were hunted down and killed by witches and vampires as they had committed an unforgivable sin just by existing.
She did not know what her fate will be but she was determined to make sure she did not end up like them. She will make sure that none of those bloodsuckers gets their hands on her and even if they do, she will make them regret it.
Looming back at the mirror, she noticed that compared to those in the past, she had all the features that they had individually and did not know what to make of it.
Kora closed her eyes to feel her wolf. When she felt her presence inside of her, she opened them and looked into the mirror. The eyes that looked at her were of two different colours, one was green and the other was red. Slowly she took off her clothes and bends her body, her hands touching the tiled floor. Soon after that, fur sprouted from under her skin and spread itself around her body, The sound of her bones snapping and changing shape was heard, her palms and feet turned to paws and her nails became claws her hair withdrew itself and her face changed its shape.
What stood in front of the mirror was a magnificent baby blue wolf. She was so beautiful that Kora could not believe that was her wolf reflecting in the mirror. She didn’t think she would even have a wolf again after everyone her age in the pack shifted a few years back and she didn’t. But now, she has her wolf.
Kora took a step forward and strumbled if that was even possible for a wolf to stumble on its footing. She has gotten so used to her human form that now that she has a beast form, she was finding it hard to walk.
