Chapter 70: 70. Destruction of the Silver Mystery pack
Kora slowly opened her eyes, her vision returning. She could finally see where she was and who was next to her. Feeling the spark where he was stroking her, her head moved and looked at his hand that was stroking her fur and then at him. He smiled at her and said the only word that he had been wanting to say for a long time, "Mate."
Right after he said that Kora’s eyes dropped closed again. Lazarus who had been standing at a distance away from them came closer and stopped right beside them. He bends on his knees to take a closer look at her wolf. "She is beautiful." He mumbled.
"You know what kind of wolf she is, don’t you?" Darren asked, looking straight into Lazadus’s eyes, reading his expression.
"Yes," Lazarus answered, petting Kora’s fur. "A mystic wolf." Darren scrunched his nose when he heard what he said. He had never heard of a mystic wolf before. "Don’t tell her unless she finds out about it herself," he warned.
"Why?" Asked Darren. "If you know, you should tell her."
"That isn’t how it is done," Lazarus said, standing up and looking at where they were. "She has to figure it out on her own." Recognizing the place they were he turned to look at her.
"Why?" Darren asked still not getting why he couldn’t tell her. "Why can’t you?"
"I don’t have all the answers. I found out about her not so long ago." Lazarus replied. "Do you know where this is?" asked Lazarus
"Silver Moon pack," Darren replied, standing up to his feet. "What about it?"
"This was her pack," Lazarus said looking in the direction of the former pack. "Her mother died right where she is lying right now. And also where I found her."
"Why are you telling me this?" Darren asked.
"Don’t you want to know something about your mate?" Lazarus said and turned to face Darren.

Back to Kora. Kora opened her eyes, She found herself standing in the same place where she was lying but it looked different, the trees were smaller and less dense than it was when she last saw them.
Not knowing where she was she decided to walk towards the Blood Moon pack, at least she still remembers how to get there.
After walking for several minutes, she arrived at the Blood Moon pack, she heard someone talking and calling out the name ’Silver Mystery pack’ and she wondered where that was because she had never heard of that pack before. Walking further, she walked towards the back house, though it was located in the same place, its structure was different. It was still a manor, but it looked medieval. Nothing like the modern manor she lived in.
Kora did not understand what was going on until she saw the little girl whom she had seen before in her dream. The same girl with dark hair with blue stripes and blue eyes. She finally understood that she was not in her own time.
Kora followed the girl around and watched her. The place was lively as the pack was preparing for a celebration. All the pack members were gathered together, and she noticed that the two children that she had seen before with their parents were not the only ones with colored hair and eyes. They were like a small clan.
Everyone gathered in the pack house inside a place that looked like a ballroom to celebrate the birth of the Alpha heir. Everything was going smoothly until a pack warrior who was stationed at the border came running in with bruises and wounds.
He bowed before the Alpha and Luna. The alpha and Luna stood up with frowns on their faces, they could tell that something was wrong, or else the warrior wouldn’t have rushed into the house looking the way he did. "What happened?" The Alpha, Alpha Philip asked. Holding his Luna close to him as if he was afraid she would e taken away at any moment.
"Forgive me, alpha," The warrior said but it only annoyed the alpha more.
"I ask what happened, now, speak." The alpha said with more authority than before. His alpha aura rolled off him and filled the room.
"The vampires are about to cross the border. And the spell casters are aiding them. we couldn’t keep them away," The guard reported with his head bowed in shame.
Alpha Philip growled dangerously at the news. His eyes stared at the warrior as if he was the one who invaded the pack.
Hearing the growl from their alpha, everyone stopped whatever they were doing and stood still feeling the coldness coming from the pack’s alpha. "Ready the warriors, send the pregnant women and children to safety. All those who can still fight, get ready, defend the pack and fight for the survival of our pack." Alpha Philip said.
And with that, the party came to an abrupt stop. Everyone started running up and down trying to find the best place to hide the little ones. The elderly shifters were also accompanied to an underground safe room along with the children and pregnant shifters. While all those who could fight, trained or not, male and female alike went ahead to defend the pack.
The shifters with color appearance went to the back of the pack house to make sure that their children were inside the cave where they will be safe but they were too late as the spell caster had reached there before them blocking the entrance to the cave.
Kora watched as the once joyous day turned into a bloody and sorrow-filled day. The vampires attacked the shifters whom she had come to know were called the ’mystic wolves’ killing all of them with the help of the spell casters.
Though the mystic wolves used their powers, nothing seem to be working on them. There seem to be a shield that was protecting them from the powers of the mystic wolves which rendered them powerless even with all the power that they had.
The mystic wolves fell one after another until there was none left standing. She saw the boy whom she had seen before dropping to the ground with his heart clawed out by a vampire and tears fell from her eyes. She hated the fact that she could not do anything other than watch.
The packed house caught fire and whoever was in there died, being burnt alive or ran out only to meet his or her demise in the hands of the spell casters or the vampires. Even when help from the neighboring packs arrived to help the pack, nothing could he down to change the fate of the Silver Mystery pack. The warriors who had come to help died along with the pack.
The witches and vampires only left after everything was gone and up in flames. They even searched the pack to make sure that there was not a single surviving soul from the Silver Mystery pack.
Kora’s heart ached at the scene that she had witnessed. She wished she could have done something or at least saved someone from there. Seeing the appearance of the Mystic wolves, she was no fool to not have realized that she was the same as them.
The vampires and witches left after setting the pack ablaze. Kora stood amidst the fire, searching for any survivor, anyone at all but she could not find anyone who was still breathing or showing signs of life.
