Chapter 162: 162. The duel
When the coven head was mentioned, everyone went silent because they all knew that there was no way the spell caster would agree to give her blood to them to reverse something that she did.
After much thought, Lazarus asked, "Is it possible to use a substitute? Like her family or child?"
"Yes, whoever it is has to be her child, not siblings and the coven head Cillia has no children," Lucy replied.
"A few drops should be fine " Licinda was the one who replied.
"Alright." He said looked away from them and walked towards the window.
"She does, one," Lazarus said putting his hand inside his pocket to get his phone. They looked at him questioningly while waiting for clarification. "She has a daughter." He said and dialed a number. "How much blood is needed?"
The other three people looked at him without believing what he said until it got to the hint of who it might be. His mate was a hybrid, so she might have been the one. They were proven right the moment the call was connected as he addressed whoever he was talking to as "Darling."
"How is Ezra and why did you send Raven back?" Dana asked right away.
"I sent him back to assist you." He said, patiently explaining what was happening to her and answering all of her questions. "Your blood would be needed to reverse the effect of the ritual, can you help with that?" He finally asked.
"Yes," She said without even thinking about it. She never thought being related to that would prove useful and play an important role in saving Ezra. "I’ll leave immediately."
She was about to disconnect the call when he stopped her. "No," Lazarus said stopping her immediately. "I will send someone to come and get it. Or we will come to you."
"Okay, I’ll have the back doctor extract it for you." Dana agreed knowing that he didn’t want her to leave the safety of the pack and step out while he was absent.
"How fast can you get to my pack?" Lazarus asked Lucy. It was the one of the first get so nothing goes wrong while on the way back. There was no telling what would happen if someone else was sent.
"Fast enough."She replied and looked a Darren who gave her a nod. "I’ll leave immediately." With that being said, she disappeared from their sight.
"Thank you," Darren said to Lazarus Which made him raise a brow. "Thank you, for your help." Lazarus nodded without saying anything.
The reason he was doing this, letting his kate take out her blood for the benefit of someone else was all because they both cared about Ezra and she would blame him if anything were to happen to him when she could have done something to save him.
As for Mateo, besides the fact it would be biased to treat that open person alone and leave him just like that when he was in the same condition as Ezra, Kora was another reason why he and Dana would want to help him because he was her Beta.
"I will begin the preparation," Lucinda said and left the office.
Lazarus turned and walked back to sit in front of Darren who was now distracted by the files in front of him. He looked at him and the corners of his lips hooked up. It was jit easy to be an alpha, it would be even harder being the alpha supreme because you have more than one pack to worry about.
It was no wonder he went back to work right after he was done talking about an emergency. There was little to no time at all for personal needs.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" Darren asked raising his head to meet his gaze and raising a brow too.
"I am just impressed."

At The Blood Moon Pack,
Dana was inside one of the rooms in the lack hospital and the pack head doctor was drawing blood from her arm when Lucy appeared next to her. She scrunched her nose as the familiar and unique smell of the hospital welcomed her. The smell of disinfectants.
Dana saw her from the corner of her eyes while the doctor, being a shifter himself, nearly growled at her for more than one reason if Dana had not shaken her head at him to stop him.
"How much blood would be needed?" She asked Lucy without bothering to exchange formalities.
Lucy looked at the vile that already had her blood in it nodded towards it and said, "That should be enough."
The Doctor stopped and pulled the syringe out of her arm immediately he heard that it was enough. The she-wolf he was attending to was his Luna and he wouldn’t want to do anything that would be harmful to her or the alpha would take out his anger on his fur allowing harm to befall his mate.
He cleaned the little blood that made its way if her arm with a cotton woodland bowed. "That would be all Luna," he said and handed the vile to her after sealing its mouth.
"Thank you, Dr. Chase, " She said and took it from her. "Please save them, and let me know if there is anything else I need to do," she said, turning to Lucy.
"They will be fine," Lucy and took the vile, "Why don’t you come along? Luna would be happy to see you."
"I can’t leave, Lazarus isn’t here and with all the trouble lying by the corner, taking risks is more than dangerous now but also deadly. But send my warm regards to Kora, we miss her here." She said
Lucy nodded. "I will leave then." She said.

At The Witches’ Coven
Because of the remarks and words of the switches, it was decided that both Cillia, the coven leader, and Crysta should be punished for their actions. But no one was strong enough to punish them and since their leader was among the offenders, they were asked to duel each other. It was to end when one was made to submit to the other.
This was the interesting part for the spectator because none of the two witches would want to submit to the other. It was even for both of them because Cillia wouldn’t want to submit to someone to whom she was superior. That would be a fatal blow to her pride as the leader to tap and surrender to someone else.
Crysta was very interested in proving that Cillia did not deserve to be the head witch and proving to the others with her that they were blind to have not chosen her. She saw it as an opportunity to shame and humiliate their entire coven and then walk out of there without looking back because they would no longer be able to stand their ground in front of her anymore and Cillia would suffer the worst.
The duel began at sunset when all the witches belonging to the coven were present to witness the event that could happen once in a long time. Everyone was expected to be there to serve as witnesses to the event and to see and clear all doubt about who was the strongest among the two elder witches, even though they didn’t look their age.
"It is time to begin." A witch who Was almost the same age and strength as Cillia and Crysta stood in the circle that was created by the witches to make an arena large enough for a battle of witches in the middle. "The rules of the duel are simple, fight until you are the only one standing, or until your opponent surrenders and admits defeat. Or in the case where your opponent is no longer conscious to continue with the duel." The crowd cheered as she took a pause.
"Allow me to introduce to you our sellers, first, we have our Coven leader, Cillia, and her opponent, is none other than Crysta." She said.
Cillia and Crysta stepped in and a barrier of magic formation was raised to protect the spectators from whatever they were going put each other through.
The earth shook and everyone knew that Crysta was ready to attack. Her element was earth and she could be very deadly most of the time.
The temperate around the forest where they were increased as Illia also guy ready for combat. Very present used their abilities to shield and protect themselves because it was obvious the two people inside the circle were ready to all out and try to slay each other.
They had never Cillia or Crysta go all out before. Even in the fight with the shifter when they had expected to see their leader fight and torture the wolves to death, she did nothing of the sort and they were a bit disappointed.
No words were spoken to each but they both knew each other’s strengths well enough. Audrey, the witch who had spoke and introduced the duellers stepped back and stood next to the barrier where an opening was created for her to leave and spoke, "BEGIN!"
