Chapter 156: 156. Missing
In the Shadow Moon pack,
Kora came across Mateo as he made his way out of the packhouse and while she was going inside. Kora stared at him even before they could meet each other on the stairs. She felt it again, the feeling of something bad happening.
"Luna!" Mateo greeted with a small bow of his head.
Kora tried to smile but she could not force it especially with the feeling that something would go wrong. Mateo and Ezra suffered and lost the other half of their souls right5 after meeting them which had complicated a lot in their lives, emotions and mental state. Though they were both fighting and trying to stay strong, the changes were visible ajs she didn’t want anything to happen to either of them that would make things worse than there already were. "Are you going somewhere?" She asked.
"Yes, Luna," Mateo replied with a nod of the head. Heoved to the side so she could climb up.
"Be careful Mateo." She said and he smiled at her for her concern.
"I will, Luna," Mateo said and she nodded before walking past him.
Kora didn’t know what else to say to him because she could not point out what it was that was going to happen. They went their separate ways but Kora did not stop looking at his back until his figure disappeared from her sight completely.

In the Blood Moon pack,
Hours after Lazarus had sent the warrior to find Ezra and report back to him, Lazarus received words that said that he was unable to find him. Even his phone was switched off and making it impossible to reach him. Lazadus grew anxious and didn’t know what he was going to tell his mate any more.
He shouldn’t have let him go out there alone. But he was hoping that sometime alone and away from the lack will help him heal, not for something worse to happen to him. He mindlinked Raven immediately because he did not know who else to call. He would noy call and inform Dana until he was sure of what was happening. ["Come to my office immediately."]
Soon Raven entered the office. The atmosphere was tense which immediately made him tense as well after walking inside. ’Alpha."
"Have you been able to reach Ezra since he left the pack?" He asked without dragging it.
Raven didn’t know what was happening yet so the question was unexpected for him. "No, I haven’t." He replied. He took out his phone to call Ezra’s number. But it was not going through. He frowned and decided to use the GPS tracker on Ezra’s phone but its location said he was in the pack which was not true. "What happened to him?"
"You couldn’t find him," Lazarus said after seeing the frown on his face. He stood up and turned to leave. "We are going to find him ourselves, no word goes out about this until we are certain of what is happening."
Raven nodded. It was the only way not to create a panic in the pack with a false alarm if Ezra turned out to be okay in the end because right now, the pack link and bond to the gamma was still intact, Which meant that he was still alive.
Their worry was his state of mind, if a witch decides to take advantage of that, then it would be dier. He may not be able to resist whatever they will do to him. They both left the pack house and drove out of the pack in order not to draw much attention and raise suspicion from the pack members.
After driving a good distance away from the pack, they stopped the car and parked it somewhere hidden before taking off their clothes and locking them in the car and shifted and headed in the direction where the hunters were camped.
[ "I want a full report of what happened after gamma Ezra arrived here."] Lazarus said through the link to all the warriors that were present even before they could see him.
"Alpha!"

The warriors and hunters said immediately they saw him. Some of them were in their beast form so the mind link was their only option.
"Report." Lazarus said after taking his human form again. Raven did the same. Clothes were brought for them to wear which they only took the pants and wore them.
The head of the warriors and hunters stepped forward along with the one who was asked to watch over Ezra. "Alpha," they said together and Lazarus just stared at them. This was not the time for all this but it was only normal for them to do so, so he did not stop them and just kept mute while he waited for them to speak. "Beta Raven," they acknowledged the presence of the beta as well.
"Gamma Ezra came here early this morning and we were ambushed by the spell caster a short while after he arrived. Amidst the chaos, we lost sight of him and after that, he was gone along with the spellcasters. We didn’t know what happened and since there was no link break, we thought to search for him but we were unable to find him anywhere, Alpha, we are sorry for our incompetence."
"Why didn’t you inform us immediately?" Raven Asked and the hunter looked away with his head bowed.
"I dudntbwantbtonyrouble you with it until we were certain that gamma Ezra was not here with us." He replied while Raven glared at him.
"Suspend every other mission, until we find Ezra, no one here is allowed to do anything else other than searching for him and the Spell Casters." Lazarys declared and they all bowed.
"As the Alpha commands." They said and many.more shifting to their beast forms ready to spring into action.
The search party headed out, it was divided into two groups with Lazarus leading one himself and Raven leading the other and they went in opposite directions.
Right now, Lazarus was grateful that his mate did not choose her witch mother because he hated witches even more now. She claims to care about her daughter but still attacks her daughter’s pack and now they have even come after Ezra who was not in his best form, taking advantage of his weakened state and she does nothing about it even as the coven head.
If he could, he would strangle her to death with his bare hands but at the same time, the witch was still his mate’s mother. He couldn’t just do it with the thought that she wouldn’t mind because he knew that somewhere inside of her, she cared. Not much but she did
