Chapter 155: 155. Just leave
In the Shadow Moon pack, Lunc8da walked inside the alpha’s office followed closely by Lucy. They have been away for days now trying to gather as much information as possible about the humans and vampires. Now they were back to report to the Alpha.
"Alpha," They said and took their seats in front of Darren who had been waiting and expecting them for a while now. He stared at them and they stared back at him. "Sorry for keeping you waiting for so long, Alpha," Lucy said. She scrutinized Darren to see if there was anything wrong. They had not had the time to check up on him since he woke, but from the looks of it, he was doing as well as always.
"Welcome back." Darren said and they nodded with Lucinda smiling from ear to ear.
"Thank you, Alpha."
"What did you find?" He asked, going straight to the point.
They two women shared a look and after a silent agreement, Lucy spoke. "We have been following up on the activities of the humans and vampires and we notices that the humans also have a spell caster helping them." She said but Darren kept a poker face and no one knew what was going in his mind. "She is powerful, one of the two witches who were on the head of coven choices, Crysta."
"Do you know why she is helping the humans?" Darren asked because in all that they had said, the crucial thing was the spell caster helping humans.
"She has a thing against the coven head." Lucinda replied. "And Alpha," she hesitated a bit before speaking further. "The humans have created an organization aganst the nonhumans and they have just dispatched some members across the globe to monitor the activities happening in other places."
Darren was quiet after hearing that as he tried to piece the things together. For there to already be an organization against them, it meant that there are many more who knew about their existence and are not happy with it. Three or two humans cannot gather that many people in such a short time and create an organization. He needed to have a word with Lazarus and the other alphas concerning this issue again.
"Do you know who it is that heads this organization?" He asked and they both nodded their heads. "Who?"
"His name is Jarred Foster, he was very familiar with one of the three humans who had visited the pack on the night of Luna’s marking." Lucinda said and Lucy nodded her head.
"Thank you." He said in gratitude to them. He had wondered what was taking them so long to return but it turned out that there was another witch with the humans. "What about the vampires?"
"The Lord of vampires is healed and he will be on his two feet soon." Lucy replied. There was not much to say about the vampires because it was similar as always to what they were planning to do.
Darren signed and ran his hand through his hair. It was getting more tiring and troublesome dealing with the vampires. "Go and rest, you two, I will think of what to do from here on."
"Thank you Alpha." They said and stood up from their seats.
Moments later, Darren was sitting face to face with Mateo, they both had serious looks on their faces with a frown as he seemed not liking the idea proposed by Mateo.
"Let me do it Alpha." Mateo said but Darren did in budge. "I can handle it."
"No." Came Darren’s short and firm reply. Mateo’s idea was not bad but the problem was Mateo himself. "You will stay here in the pack."
"Darren," Mateo called him by his name without the alpha title as he tried to reach his friend since getting to the alpha was proving impossible to do.
"I said, NO," Darren said firmly.
"I know what you are concerned about, but believe me whenever I say that I am doing fine, I can handle it." He pushed further. "Come on Darren."
Darren sighed and massaged his temple. This was giving him a headache. "Alright," He gave in to his demand with the thought that it was better for him to go out somewhere away from the pack and do something different from what he was used to doing. "But only for a few days."
’Understood alpha." Mateo said a smile found its way to his face.
*******
In the Blood Moon Pack,
Dana has been busy performing her duties as Luna, helping the women and children, teaching them on what was right and wrong in the pack and the world at large.
She had just finished and left after sending the children home or to the kindergarten for those who were old enough to attend the kindergarten. She sat in the back of the pack house with Aziel in her arms.
"You’ve had a busy day." She heard the familiar voice of Cillia behind her. The witch drew nearer and was shocked to see Dana with a baby in her arms. She remembered seeing Dana with bu she did not think that the baby survived too.
"Why are you here?" Dana asked, not liking the woman’s presence in her home.
"I came to see how my daughter is doing." Cillia said and Dana glared at her. "You can’t the fact that I am your mother, Dana,"
"No, but I can say that I don’t have one and she is dead." Dana said and stood up holding her son securely in her arms. "Don’t come here again next time, I Don’t know you and you don’t me, so lets not act like we are best friends or something."
"I want to make things right, child." Cillia said and walked closer to but she took a step back. "I want to be with my family. I want to be with you."
"Stay away from me and my family." Dana warned, her eyes flashing purple. "If I had ever mattered to you before now, you would have come for me a long time ago, right now you are just looking for something that would benefit you."
"It’s not like that." Cillia said, trying to explain.
"It’s like how, then?" Dana cut in. Her aura was starting to flare and it would attract attention soon if she didn’t stop her anger from growing any more than that. "You had a child with a shifter, but chose to side with vampires and never thought to go and look for her."
"I am sorry for that child." Cillia said. Standing next to each other, they looked like sisters rather than mother and child.
"Just leave." Dana said. She didn’t want to attract attention from the pack, though it could not be said that her mate had not felt her yet. "I am happy with the way my life is going, if you care about me now, then keep staying away like you did before."
